Lily Collins Finally Find Love Taylor Lautner

Lily Jane Collins (born March 18, 1989) is an actress, model, writer, and Nickelodeon television host, often cited for her sense of style. She is the daughter of musician Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman, and the half-sister of actress Joely Collins and musician Simon Collins. She graduated from Harvard-Westlake School, and is currently a student at the University of Southern California with a major in broadcast journalism.

John Singleton will direct from a script by Shawn Christensen. Shooting is scheduled to start this July in Pittsburgh.

Lautner will stars as a teen who has long felt disconnected from his parents. He discovers his own baby picture on a missing persons website, which unleashes a chain of violent events.

If you didn't know, you'd never guess that 18-year-old Lily Collins spent the first six years of her life in rural West Sussex. To speak to her, she is pure California teen, her sentences endearingly sprinkled with the word 'like' ? all sunny American enthusiasm without even a dash of British reserve.

Who knew Phil Collins had such a beautiful daughter. I think we can all ume she got her looks from her mother. I never heard of Lily Collins before ,but aparently she is a Tommy Hilfiger model less that 24 hours after meeting Hilfiger,last year when she was only 17

John Gardner scheduled to be sentenced

John Albert Gardner III, 31, also faces an additional 33 years to life in prison for assaulting a woman Dec. 27.

Gardner, whose plea spares him from a possible death sentence, is scheduled to be sentenced June 1.

His plea also bars him from filing an appeal of his conviction and sentence.

Gardner admitted attacking, raping and killing 17-year-old Chelsea King, who disappeared after going for a run Feb. 25 at Rancho Bernardo Community Park. The avid runner and straight-A student's body was discovered five days later in a shallow grave near a tributary of nearby Lake Hodges -- not far from Gardner's mother's home.

Searchers combing woods, marshes and swamps in northeastern San Diego for a sixth straight day early Tuesday afternoon found a body believed to be that of the missing teen in a shallow grave at the edge of Lake Hodges.

Paul Pfingst says that Gardner's parents can't be charged. "Mr. Gardner has the responsibility of registering with law enforcement. Not his mother, not his father. They are not responsible if he railed to fulfill that obligation, even if they knew it," Pfingst told 10 News.

Pfingst says more focus is needed on violent sex offenders. There are may types of sex offenders and not all are equally dangerous. "We have to trim the list of that 60,000 down to a number of truly dangerous people and then intensively supervise them. Somebody who downloads a pornographic image from the Internet is very different from somebody who beats up and savages somebody during the course of a rape. Megan's Law treats them the same," said Pfingst.

"Although positive identification has not been made, there is (a) strong likelihood that we have found Chelsea," Sheriff Bill Gore several hours later, shortly after breaking the news to the girl's parents. A member of a law enforcement dive team found the body shortly after 1 p.m. in a remote, secluded spot on the south side of the lake, about 10 feet from the water's edge, Gore said.

His not guilty plea was entered on his behalf by one of his attorneys, Michael Popkins. The defendant was ordered back to court Tuesday, and a preliminary hearing was tentatively scheduled for March 18.

Superior Court Judge Joseph Brannigan ordered Gardner held without bail. Friends, family, reporters and other officials packed the courtroom during the arraignment. Members of Chelsea's family -- including her parents, Brent and Kelly -- attended the hearing but did not speak with reporters afterward.

Daryl Gates Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Died

Daryl Gates (born Darrel Francis Gates, August 30, 1926 – April 16, 2010) was the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) from 1978 to 1992.

In joint collaboration with the Rotary Club of Los Angeles, Gates founded DARE, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program designed to educate children about the dangers of drug abuse. DARE is currently used in schools worldwide, although scientific research has found it to be ineffective in reducing alcohol or drug use and there is evidence that it may increase drug use among some groups.

"I ask everyone to keep him in their prayers," said Beck, who visited the former chief in the hospital over the weekend.

The Police Department would not specify Gates' ailment, However, a blog posting attributed to his brother Steve Gates said the former chief had been hospitalized for three weeks with bladder cancer that had spread to a bone near his hip and he was receiving radiation treatments.

The blog, called "The Rotator," is not made available to the general public and is available only to current and retired officers who provide badge information. Efforts by The Associated Press to reach Steve Gates were unsuccessful.

Beck did not disclose the nature of the illness, but officials with knowledge of the former chief's condition said the 83-year-old Gates has been in an Orange County hospital with bladder cancer that has spread to the bones near his hip. Gates has been receiving radiation treatments, and his doctors want him to start chemotherapy for a tumor in his bladder.

"Daryl Gates was a one-in-a-million human being," Chief Charlie Beck said. "He inspired others to succeed and, in doing so, changed the landscape of law enforcement around the world."

"Los Angeles has suffered a great loss," said Paul Weber, president of the Los Angeles Police Protective League.

Gates "was a man of courage and character who had a deep commitment to the rule of law, with a deep pride in the LAPD," Weber said.

"Chief Gates was a cop's cop, revolutionizing critical policing tactics and changing the face of modern law enforcement around ... the world."

"He lived his dream and felt blessed to be part of an organization that he cared so much about. Even after retiring, Chief Gates was an active and steadfast supporter of LAPD officers, making frequent appearances to honor officers for their service - from retirements and funerals to ceremonies and charity events, Chief Gates' presence could always be counted on," the LAPPL said in the statement.

History will remember Gates as the highly criticized chief of police during the infamous Rodney King beatings and subsequent Los Angeles riots, but gamers may recall him as the creator of 1993's Police Quest: Open Season, the fourth title in Sierra's Police Quest line of adventure games.

After his retirement, Gates worked closely with developers at Sierra, creating in-game scenarios and working as a police consultant for the 1993 adventure game. Gates also contributed to the spin-off SWAT series.

Matthew Clemmens arrested for allegedly purposefully throwing up

Apparently Clemmens also struck the officer, Easton Police Captain Michael Vangelo, in the head several times. Vangelo complained to security about the rowdy fan and his friend, and as they were being escorted out of the park Clemmens reportedly leaned over, stuck his fingers down his throat, and barfed on the officer and his daughter. Ick.

"It was the most vile, disgusting thing I've ever seen, and I've been a cop for 20 years," Vangelo said. "I was just a dad with my kids enjoying a game. I never experienced anything like that before."

Police have charged Matthew Clemmens of Cherry Hill, N.J., with aggravated assault and other counts in the Wednesday incident at Citizens Bank Park.

Philadelphia has always been known for having tough crowds, but bad fan behavior there may have hit a new low at a Phillies game this week. There, a 21-year-old fan allegedly vomited intentionally on the 11-year-old daughter of an off-duty cop.

"I actually heard the individual behind me say, 'I'm gonna get sick', then I couldn't believe what I saw. He actually had his fingers down his mouth and into his throat to make himself vomit. He vomited and lurched forward and it was hitting my daughter," Vangelo explained.

John Alfred Paulson (born December 14, 1955 in Queens, NY) is founder and president of Paulson & Co., a New York-based hedge fund.

Paulson & Co., Inc. had assets under management (as of June 1, 2007) of $12.5 billion (95% from institutions), which leapt to $36 billion as of November 2008. Under his direction, Paulson & Co has capitalized on the problems in the foreclosure and mortgage backed securities (MBS) markets. In 2008 he decided to start a new fund that would capitalize on Wall Street's capital problems by lending money to investment banks and other hedge funds currently feeling the pressure of the more than $345 billion of write downs resulting from under-performing assets linked to the housing market. On May 15, 2008, Paulson & Co., which bought 50 million shares of Yahoo stock during the first quarter of 2008, said it is supporting Carl Icahn on a proxy fight to replace Yahoo's board. In early 2008, the firm hired former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan.

THE SECURITIES and Exchange Commission has accused Vice-president of Goldman Sachs & Co, Fabrice Tourre of defrauding investors by failing to disclose conflicts of interest in mortgage investments.

According to the FIR filed by SEC, Goldman has failed to disclose that one of its clients helped create and bet against subprime mortgage securities that Goldman has sold to the investors.

The SEC said the in its complaint that the CDO pool called ABACUS 2007-AC1 was based on a portfolio of mortgage-backed securities that ACA selected in consultation with Paulson & Co., and that consisted almost entirely of securities suggested by the hedge fund.

The SEC noted that ACA was unaware of Paulson & Co.'s interest in betting against the portfolio. It said that Goldman Sachs concealed that fact from the firm, knowing that ACA would not create the CDO pool if it had that information.

Money Morning: On that famed list, at No. 33, is where you'll find Paulson today. The hedge-fund manager's financial acumen led to what is now being called the "the greatest trade ever." By shorting the subprime mortgage market, Paulson & Co. Inc. generated a $15 billion gain.
Paulson's personal net worth of $6 billion is impressive in its own right. But over the next several years, I believe that Paulson's trading savvy will vault him into the top spot.

Ted Ginn all over the field last year

Theodore "Ted" Ginn, Jr. (born April 12, 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Dolphins ninth overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ohio State, where he was the self-proclaimed "Fastest Man in the Big 10."

While a Buckeye, Ginn was known for his big play abilities. As a returner he had the ability to break tackles and get to the open field. Once in the open field, his speed took over and defenses were helpless to stop him. As a senior the Buckeyes used him as a deep threat receiver which worked well since few could match Ginn's speed.

``I could have played a lot better,'' Ginn said. ``It wasn't as productive as I wanted it to be. But at the end of the year, I've been pretty good. You go through trials and tribulations and it's all about how you bounce back. I've made some catches'' recently -- including five for 82 yards against Houston.

But negative perceptions were fueled earlier in the season, when Ginn dropped several passes, failed to haul in what would have been the winning touchdown against Indianapolis, and generated few yards after catch.

Ginn has the talent, and he after all still only 25. Perhaps all he needs is a new home, and as Larry Johnson has whined, a coach who understands him. His receiving skills may be questionable at this point, but he's certainly a stud in the return game, so he has value to teams that need help in that department.

Let's take a look at some possible landing spots.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Dolphins cross-state rivals have the need, and they can certainly throw him in the mix with all the other receivers they have (Reggie Brown, Michael Clayton…) and see if he sticks.

Arizona Cardinals - The Cards have some decent depth at wide receiver even with the loss of Anquan Boldin, but if Steve Breaston is going to step up to replace Boldin, the team will need a new return guy and WR depth. Ginn could be a fit, but would the Cards take on his salary?

"At Ohio State, whether it was wide receiver, kick return, punt return, he made things happen on the field. Now, learning the whole thing where you've got to be a primary wide receiver, that takes time. I'm sure he'll grow into it."

Ginn's production fell from 56 receptions in 2008 to 38 in 2009, but Holmes maintained that "he's gonna be successful for whatever team he plays for."

Holmes recalled playing one season with fellow wideout Brian Hartline at OSU and was impressed with his rookie year in Miami.

"I saw him all over the field last year and was thinking 'Where did this guy come from?'" he said with a laugh.

Fabrice Tourre and Goldman Sachs and The Charged Fraud By SEC

Goldman, among others on Wall Street, has said since the collapse that it made big money by using the ABX to bet against the housing market. Worried about a housing bubble, top Goldman executives decided in December 2006 to change the firm's overall stance on the mortgage market, from positive to negative, though it did not disclose that publicly.

Even before then, however, pockets of the investment bank had also started using C.D.O.'s to place bets against mortgage securities, in some cases to hedge the firm's mortgage investments, as protection against a fall in housing prices and an increase in defaults.

he SEC's fraud charges against Goldman Sachs focus on a Frenchman known as the "fabulous Fab."

At least, that's how Fabrice Tourre described himself, according to a 22-page complaint filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

Why am I not surprised that Goldman Sachs was up to no good. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has charged the company and one of its employees (vice president Fabrice Tourre) with fraud, alleging the company omitted key information about a product it peddled to hedge against housing losses. Hey, funny, my mortgage company, Litton Loan (bottom feeder) is owned by Goldman Sachs. Of course, that news just took the wind out of the financial sector of the stock market.

"More and more leverage in the system. The whole building is about to collapse anytime now... Only potential survivor, the fabulous Fab[rice Tourre]... standing in the middle of all these complex, highly leveraged exotic trades he created without necessarily understanding all of the implications of those monstrosities!"

Mr. Egol and Fabrice Tourre, a French trader at Goldman, were aggressive from the start in trying to make the assets in Abacus deals look better than they were, according to notes taken by a Wall Street investor during a phone call with Mr. Tourre and another Goldman employee in May 2005.

"Egol and Fabrice were way ahead of their time," said one of the former Goldman workers. "They saw the writing on the wall in this market as early as 2005." By creating the Abacus C.D.O.'s, they helped protect Goldman against losses that others would suffer.

Ray Boltz (born 1953 in Muncie, Indiana, United States) is a singer songwriter that first came to wide notice in contemporary Christian music, many of his songs tell stories of faith and inspiration. He was raised by his parents William and Ruth Boltz, and was married to his wife Carol Boltz for over 30 years prior to coming out as gay in 2008. They have four children.

Though Boltz was married to wife Carol (they are now divorced) for 33 years and he fathered four children (all grown now), he said in the article that he had been attracted to other men since he was a young man. "I'd denied it ever since I was a kid. I became a Christian, I thought that was the way to deal with this and I prayed hard and tried for 30-some years and then at the end, I was just going, 'I'm still gay. I know I am.'"

Living what he felt like was a lie got harder and harder as he got older. "You get to be 50-some years old and you go, 'This isn't changing.' I still feel the same way. I am the same way. I just can't do it anymore,'" Boltz said.

"If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I'm going to live...I really feel closer to God because I no longer hate myself." Those were the words of Ray Boltz in an interview with the Washington Blade about his decision to engage in homosexuality. Boltz, a father of four who was married for 33 years before officially divorcing his wife this year, is well-known for his widely acclaimed songs "Thank You" and "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb."

Dharamshala or Dharamsala is a city in northern India. It is the winter seat of government of the state of Himachal Pradesh and the district headquarters of the Kangra district.
It is also the home of the Dalai Lama and the exiled Tibetan government.

The town of McLeod Ganj in Upper Dharamsala is known worldwide for the presence of the Dalai Lama, where he has resided since fleeing Tibet in 1959. Dharamsala houses the headquarters of the Tibetan Government in exile about two kilometres below the town of McLeod Ganj, led by the Prime Minister, Samdhong Rinpoche. McLeod Ganj is also referred to as 'Upper Dharamsala'.

Tea Party gangster government

The Tea Party's protests are a series of nationally-coordinated protests across the United States beginning in early 2009. The protests are part of a nascent, larger anti-tax political movement called the Tea Party movement. Among other events.

he Washington rally in brilliant sunshine was spirited but modest in size, lacking the star power of tea party favorite Sarah Palin, who roused the masses at earlier stops of the Tea Party Express in its cross-country bus tour. Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota won roars of affirmation as she accused President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats of trying to take over health care, energy, financial services and other broad swaths of the economy.

"We're on to this gangster government," she declared. "I say it's time for these little piggies to go home."

Carendar organized what she called A "Porkulus Protest" on President's Day, before, as she says, "Rick Santelli's rant!" referring to the CNBC reporter who called for protests after the announcement of the AIG executive bonuses in the face of increasing home mortgage foreclosures. Carender said, "Without any support from a national movement, without any support from any official in my city, I just got fed up and planned it." Carender said 120 people participated. "Which is amazing for the bluest of blue cities I live in, and on only four days notice!! This was due to me spending the entire four days calling and emailing every person, think tank, policy center, university professors (that were sympathetic), etc. in town, and not stopping until the day came." Carender held a second protest on February 27, 2009 which she claims was the first Tea Party. "We more than doubled our attendance at this one, and that is very much due to the fact that I had collected email addresses at the first one and was able to tell a couple hundred people at once about the second rally.

Obama, speaking Thursday night at a Democratic fundraiser in Miami, told supporters he is amused by the protesters' complaints about taxes because, contrary to their claims, he's cut taxes. "You would think they'd be saying thank you," the president said.

Although Republicans are ideological allies of many tea partiers — and GOP operatives are involved in some of the organizations — they are also part of the establishment that many in the movement want to upend. No members of the Republican congressional leadership were featured at the capital rally.

In Wisconsin, a half dozen tea party groups from around the state decided to boycott Thursday's rally in Madison because former Republican Gov. Tommy Thompson was among the speakers.

Day of Silence 2010 in April

The Day of Silence is the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network's (GLSEN) annual day of action to protest the bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students and their supporters. Students take a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBT students and their supporters.

The Day of Silence has been held each year in April since 1996. The 2010 Day of Silence will be held on April 16.

While, for obvious reasons, it may be impractical to take a vow of silence in class, most schools will be happy to at least allow students to observe the silence during breaks and lunchtimes.


When asked about the National Day of Silence, participants might like to give out cards or leaflets with the following message (that can be downloaded from the website, links provided below) so as to make others aware of what the event is all about:

"Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence, a national youth movement bringing attention to the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies in schools. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by name-calling, bullying and harassment. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today. What are you going to do to end the silence?"

It is also apparent that any form of bullying has a detrimental effect on all students because it creates a hostile environment. As such, the National Day of Silence is not about pushing a "liberal" or "gay" agenda as some have claimed. Instead, it is about creating a safe climate for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We can all agree that bullying is wrong. Similarly, we all know how harmful bullying can be.

There have been many high-profiled cases of bullying against students over their perceived or actual sexual orientation or gender identity, and several that have led to fatal consequences.

What causes allergies?

You have an allergy when your body overreacts to things that don't cause problems for most people. These things are called allergens. Your body's overreaction to the allergens is what causes symptoms (see the box below for a list of symptoms). For example, sometimes the term "hay fever" is used to describe your body's allergic reaction to seasonal allergens in the air, such as grass or pollen. Keeping a record of your allergy symptoms over a period of time can help you and your doctor identify which allergens cause you to overreact.

Causes and Risk Factors of Allergies

The fundamental cause of allergy is still not known. The problem has a tendency to run in families. An allergic individual is more likely to have relatives who are allergic than would be expected on the basis of chance, but non-hereditary factors apparently play a part as well. Evidence of this is the fact that infants who are breast-fed are less likely to develop allergies than bottle-fed babies.
The reason an individual becomes sensitive to some substances and not to others remains a mystery.

Individuals can be affected by a variety of allergic diseases. The most common allergic diseases are allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis, asthma, allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and urticaria. (Allergic rhinitis is the most common of the allergic diseases and the main focus of this health profile. More comprehensive information about the other conditions may be found under that particular term.)

Allergic rhinitis is a general term used to apply to anyone who has allergy-based symptoms. Allergic rhinitis can be a seasonal problem (commonly known as "hay fever" or pollen allergy) or a year-round problem (commonly known as perennial allergic rhinitis). Hay fever or seasonal allergic rhinitis is caused by allergy to pollens of trees, grasses, weeds or mold spores. Perennial allergic rhinitis is caused by house dust, animal danders, mold and some foods.

Severe Allergy Symptoms (Anaphylaxis)
Anaphylaxis is a rare, life-threatening emergency in which the body's response to the allergen is sudden and affects the whole body. Allergy symptoms may begin with sudden itching of the eyes or face and within minutes progress to more serious symptoms, including:

Varying degrees of swellings that can make breathing and swallowing difficult
Abdominal pain
Cramps
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Mental confusion or dizziness

Ash Cloud Over Europe Days to restore schedules

The cloud, floating miles (kilometers) above Earth and capable of knocking out jet engines, wrecked travel plans for tens of thousands of people, from tourists and business travelers to politicians and royals. They couldn't see the source of their frustration — except indirectly, when the ash created vivid red and lavender sunsets.

Non-emergency flights in Britain were canceled, and most will stay grounded until at least midday Friday. Authorities in Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Belgium also closed their air space. France shut down 24 airports, including the main hub of Charles de Gaulle in Paris, Germany's Berlin and Hamburg were shut Thursday evening, and several flights out of the U.S. had to double back.

The above dispersion map, which is a simulation, shows that the ash cloud from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano is likely to remain over Europe for at least another couple of days. As seen in the picture, the cloud is expected to widen and remain over parts of Scandinavia and central Europe as of Sunday 16h00 GMT+1.

Evacuations
About 700 people from rural areas near the volcano were evacuated Thursday because of flash flooding, as water carrying icebergs the size of small houses rushed down the mountain. The Civil Protection Department said there could be damage to roads and other infrastructure.

Video showed spectacular images of hot gases melting the thick ice, sending cascades of water thundering down the steep slopes of the volcano.

"It will take days to restore schedules, even if the scare is called off today," Capa said in an e-mailed report.

Service disruptions intensified as airports in the region remained shut, possibly leading to the cancellation of half of all departures today. British airspace will be closed until at least 1 a.m. tomorrow, according to flight-control authority National Air Traffic Services, compounding disruptions that are among the most severe in U.K. aviation history.

In Germany, 10 airports, including Frankfurt, were shuttered, according to the DFS air traffic control agency.

Sonja Morgan be it for her charity work

As the ex-wife of John Adams Morgan, the great-grandson of financier John Pierpont Morgan, she has the right kind of pedigree to fit in with the rest of the Manhattan faux-socialites.

The 45-year-old blonde has been profiled in society magazine Quest, has a young daughter and, at one point, had a career of her own as a movie producer.

However, a source says that Morgan will definitely appear in the series, thanks to her connection with the Countess. The extent of Morgan's involvement -- exactly how much airtime she'll receive after the episodes have been edited -- has yet to be determined by producers.

Morgan, who was rumored to take over for Bethenny Frankel, is described by the network as: "A fixture of New York City society, running in social circles that include European royalty and top-notch designers... worked for multiple restaurants across the city as a consultant and manager and often brought in her famous friends to spice up these locales.

Sonja Morgan held an art auction for the Chateau de Blerancourt museum at her upper East Side townhouse Wednesday night, but Bethenny Frankel and Alex McCord seemed less than interested in the proceedings.

A single mother of a nine-year-old daughter, Morgan loves art, decorating, gardening, skiing and visiting France every chance she gets – be it for her charity work or just for pleasure."

"I'm on the show to have a good time and commercialize myself... I've been writing my screenplay since the minute my divorce started. It's very sexy, sort of like a Candace Bushnell society novel."

What's her resume? I've been working my whole life, started at 14 years old put myself through college, and then I was modeling in Europe, doing the restaurant business, and brokering deals.
