Chennai Super Kings vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore Live Score and Updates- IPL6 Match 16 Preview

Posted: 12 Apr 2013 09:57 PM PDT

Today, i.e. on Saturday two IPL giants Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be playing at the well known MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. A royal challenger which is at the top of the IPL ranking list with highest points is no  mood to allow any other IPL team to take their place. On the other side Dhoni lead Super Kings are also high on their spirits with their last 10 wickets win against Punjab. It will be an interesting play to see these teams battling against each other.

Match Venue and Timing

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in the 16th IPL match starting at 8:00 pm on April 13,2013 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chris Gayle and Captain Virat Kohli  are a deadly combination on the pitch. The Jamaican especially has shown how destructive he can get against KKR in the last match  scoring 85 out of 50 balls including 9 long sixes. Gayle and Kohli are a tough competition for the orange cap this year for each other.

AB de Villiers is no less than these two however till now he has not able to get scope for showing his play. If we talk about the weaker lower order of RCB then with the play of the Gayle and Kohli there is no concern about the lower order at all.

In the balling section Moises Henriques has played his part well assisted by the  continuing brilliant performance of Vinay Kumar. However in the last match Yusuf Pathan badly hammered his performance in the last match. Yorker deliveries of RP Singh are capable restrict Chennai batsmen on back foot easily. Also Veteran spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and Jaidev Unadkat are the names in the list. This time Murali Kartik can be included in the team.

RCB vs CSK

 Chennai Super Kings

Chennai is no easy team to face and they have showed it to all by making a return in the IPL6 with a 10wickets win against Punjab after their first loss against Mumbai Indians. Hussey and Murali  proved to be really lethal for Punjab bowlers scoring the target of  139 runs within 17.2 overs. Now teams need to work again on their strategy to hold Chennai on back foot. Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and Subramaniam Badrinath are the pillars supporting the middle order  of CSK and completing the team's batting order is the Captain Dhoni himself.

On the bowling front balers like South African Chris Morris and Dirk Nannes have shown a decent play. However Gayle batting for Banglore is a concern for Chennai. Bravo  with his slow deliveries is going to provide aide for Chennai's lead along with spinners Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

Team Squads(Probable)

Royal Challengers Bangalore: V Kohli(c), C Gayle, M Agarwal, AB de Villiers, M Henriques, A Karthik(wk), V Kumar, M Kartik, M Muralitharan, RP Singh

Chennai Super Kings: MS Dhoni (c/wk), M Vijay, M Hussey, S Raina, S Badrinath, D Bravo, R Jadeja, R Ashwin, C Morris, D Nannes, A Rajpoot

Mumbai Indians

Captain Ricky Ponting opening with Sachin Tendulkar has not yet proved their play on the grounds yet. However Mumbai needs their potential play to reach the finals.
