Pune Warriors vs. Rajasthan Royals Live Score & Match Updates : Match 13 IPL 2013

Posted: 11 Apr 2013 05:20 AM PDT

Pune Warriors that is a team with the most high profile players is not able to perform till now. There defeat by the mediocre competitors is a great blow for their morale. This time Pune will  be battling against Rajasthan Royals who are in their full form on their home ground on April 11, 2013 at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune. After crushing Kolkata by 19 runs on Monday  , Royals are  full of confidence and  it will not be easier for the hosts to clinch win from them.

Pune Warriors

From the last two seasons Pune is trembling in its IPL performance and things are no better for them this time around. If we go by the performance of the team till now Warriors have been disappointing. Team captain Angelo Mathews has to relook his playing strategy and there is a need for amendment in the batting order. With under performance of the opening players Robin Uthappa and Manish Pandey, he needs to bring in someone who can give Warriors a breakthrough and Luke Wright can be the one. Including him mean to drop down a name from the  existing list most probably that of Mitchell Marsh, but it is need of the hour for Warriors to perform.

Marlon Samuels, Yuvraj Singh and Ross Taylor are potential players and they need to pump up their performance if they want to book a place for Pune in semis and Final match. Steve Smith's absence from the team is also something unexpected and this he may get to against the Rajasthan Royals.

On the bowling front teams seems to be pretty balanced with presence of Dinda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and skipper Angelo Matthews. It may be the scene that Dinda was not effective against Punjab but it will be immature to underestimate him just on the basis of a single match. He is a deadly bowler who can lead Warriors for a victory. Rahul Sharma and Samuels complete the baling order of the team.Pune-Warriors-vs-Rajasthan-Royals

Rajasthan Royals

Royals are no big team with flashy names. But still Royals are the players who know how to provide their best  for leading the team towards victory. After putting up an appealing show with their bat in the couple of matches being played by them till now Rajasthan is no easy opponent to face. Localites Ajinkya Rahane, Stuart Binny and wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik are the performers who have gone beyond their expected limits to hail the Royals flag. Rajasthan’s core Rahul Dravid  is the man who is centre of attraction along with Brad Hodge is the  real strength of the baling order. Shane Watson who has still not showcased his play but if got in line with his potential then Pune Warriors seems to be out of strength to contain him for sure.

On the bowling front Rajasthan is no less than any other IPL team. Shaun Tait who brilliantly  bowled against Kolkata, West Indies player Kevon Cooper and domestic bowler Siddharth Trivedi  altogether have showcased their team play assisting each other at crucial points. Rahul Shukla who took two wickets off consecutive deliveries is a critical bowler not sparing even players like Jacques Kallis. The absence of a quality spinner may be compensated by Dravid by replacing Sreesanth with young Ajit Chandlia avoiding any kind of overseas combination disturbance in the team.

Venue and Timing

The team will be playing the 13th IPL 6 match at Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune on April 11, 213 that will commence at 8:00pm IST.

Probable Team Squads

After defeating Sunrisers and settling their Super Over lost against Hyderabad, Royal Challengers are all set to take on Kolkata Knight Riders.  Captain Kohli's performance lead RCB for a perfect win and this man in red even surpassed his team mascot Gayle as well. With a boosted moral Kohli and team will be fighting it out against last year's IPL winners KKR.

Match Date and Venue

It is the ground of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru which will be hosting the furious battle between Royal Challengers and Knight Riders on 11th April, 2013 at 4:00pm IST. Catch all the information about IPL updates live here.kkr-vs-rcb

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Kohli and Gayle were the guys who were poised against Sunrisers in the Super Over. But the tables turned around completely with Virat Kohli’s imperious last match performance. Until now RCB is said to be highly reliant on so called one man army of the team, Chris Gayle.  With his whooping 93 not out from 47 balls score Kohli has made many ponder again were they correct about their assumptions.

Now, the Royal Challengers are more confident than before with the return of AB de Villers in the batting order. Kohli, Gayle now Villers Royal challengers have a reason to bother other team ballers now.  But as per the restrictions put forward by the 4 overseas player quotas on IPL teams, Tillakaratne Dilshan will be off the list once again. However if  anyhow Gayle  asks for interval before firing with  his bat on the ground then Mayank Aggarwal is the one who will be replacing Gayle.

Vinay Kumar has appreciably looked after the bowling department of RCB with Zaheer Khan's under performance due to his fitness woes. RP Singh, cinching 3 wickets in the last match will be making his best efforts to seek attention of the selectors of the Indian national team selection panel. Also Muralitharan and Murali Kartik are all set to ball for RCB like the previous matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata is having a little bumpy ride this IPL 6 season. Gambhir lead KKR has being a success at the curtain raiser match against Daredevils but at the same time lost against Royals in 8th IPL match. Eoin Morgan was only able to convince with his play in the last match. Jacques Kallis who was expected to give competitors a tough time has not being able to show ant till now. Another turn down is Yusuf Pathan, whose attacking play crowned him as an international sensation.

Gautam Gambhir  will definitely looking forward to put some extra in his efforts and should concentrate on the balling order of the team With magical charmers like Sunil Narine and Brett Lee KKR is potent to give batsmen of the opponent tough time on ground. Rajat Bhatia is another name that adds weightage for in the list of KKR this time one of the players among Shami Ahmed and Lakshmipathy Balaji will find place in the only left position in balling department of the team.
