Aamir Khan get Barack Obama's nodAn invite to the prime minister's private dinner for the US first couple was an honour enough, but when President Barack Obama praised his work, Aamir Khan was on cloud nine.

The star, who was invited to the dinner by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road residence, was cornered by the waiting media persons as soon as the do got over at around 10 p.m. Sunday.

"President Obama said he has heard a lot about my work and my films," said Aamir, who was clad in a cream coloured kurta pyjama.

"It (the dinner) was an opportunity to meet big personalities. I am a big fan of Manmohan-ji and I am happy that he called me up," he told the journalists.

Aamir, 45, also praised the dinner platter and revealed that First Lady Michelle Obama had told him she danced to his title number from "Rang De Basanti".

Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress-activist wife Shabana Azmi were also invited to the grand feast.

A sleepless night for Amitabh Bachchan Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan says he couldn't sleep a night after Diwali because of the pain in his right rib cage.

"After having spent a horrible night, I woke up eventually to fight it rather than succumb. The right rib cage and the region above it has been in a spasm throughout, and so finding any kind of comfort in any sleeping position whatsoever has been a task of immense proportion," wrote Amitabh Bachchan, 67, on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com

Despite the gruesome pain, the actor braved it to the gymnasium to complete his exercise regime, which caused him further discomfort.

"Struggling across the morning formalities I was able to get myself to the gym, albeit in even greater pain. Once there, it was tougher than most days to cope, not just with the absence of exercise for the many missed days, but also to go through a regimen that promised no relief," he wrote.

He then resorted to pain killers to rid him of the unbearable pain.

"The important thing was that I survived the drill and then resorted to the age old practice of external relief - the pain killer," he wrote.

The megastar says the surreal experience of interacting with an audience was far more relieving than any number of pain killers could have been.

"I have to say that even if I had taken a million pain relievers, nothing would have worked as beautifully as the effect of a live audience in personal contact. The masses give us the confidence the strength, the courage and desire to excel and our efforts to achieve that begin to move in unison," he wrote.

He also thanked the audience of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 2010" (KBC), a quiz show he hosts for Sony.

"Thank you people of the KBC audience...you have converted an unfortunate and somewhat grave situation into one of possibility and that possibility was the conduct of the two episodes that needed to be recorded today," he wrote.

Abhishek Bachchan was ignorant about Chittagong uprisingAfter box-office dud "Raavan", Abhishek Bachchan is returning to the big screen as freedom fighter Surjya Sen in Ashutosh Gowariker's "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey", based on the Chittagong uprising. The actor says he was embarrassed when offered the role as he was ignorant about the historical episode.

"I was embarrassed because as an Indian citizen I didn't know about Surjya Sen, the great Chittagong uprising and these great freedom fighters who laid their lives for our freedom. I felt the story should be told at a wider scale," Abhishek told IANS.

Based on journalist Manini Chatterjee's book "Do and Die: The Chittagong Uprising 1930-34", the film is a true story about revolution against the British in Chittagong, then a district in undivided Bengal. The film also stars Deepika Padukone as Kalpana Dutta.

Abhishek, 34, was in Shimla to unveil the world's tallest statue of Lord Hanuman.

The actor says the film is an attempt to pay tribute to the people involved in the Chittagong uprising.

"I did 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' because I wanted to pay tribute to the freedom fighters of our country. Very little is known about the Chittagong uprising and when I got to know about it, I felt it was a story worth telling. It is Ashutosh and my small way of paying tribute to some great people involved in this revolution," he added.

The actor confesses he always tries to do films that present him in a different avatar.

"I have always tried, in whatever films I do, to bring out an unexplored side of mine and that's why I do films. As an actor I wish to do something new and something more challenging which brings out a different side of me. There's lot more work to be done," he said.

Not many know that Abhishek has a religious side too, which he credits to his grandparents, especially grandmother Teji Bachchan.

"I credit my religious beliefs to my grandparents, especially my grandmother because as children she has taught us about Hinduism, other religions, and I owe it to them," said the actor.

"She used to tell us about the adventures of Hanuman which all of us still remember," added Abhishek who admits being a god- fearing man. He doesn't fast on Tuesdays, but indeed reads the Hanuman Chalisa.

Abhishek got his first break in Bollywood with J.P. Dutta's 2000 release "Refugee" alongside Kareena Kapoor. After that he did films like "Kuch Naa Kaho", "Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai"and "Shararat", but without much success.

Constant comparisons with his father, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, made the going tough for Abhishek until Mani Ratnam's "Yuva" in 2004. The action thriller gave him a platform to prove his mettle.

After that there was no looking back - from a flop actor Abhishek went on to become a versatile artist by doing a variety of roles in movies like "Sarkar", "Bluffmaster", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", "Guru", "Dostana", "Delhi-6" and "Paa".

Shabana Azmi silence herself about dinner with ObamasShe made an annoucement on Twitter about being invited by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for dinner with US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, but post the event Bollywood veteran Shabana Azmi is not willing to divulge any details.

"Guys I'm not a reporter and have no intentions of describing the menu, clothes, etc of Obama's dinner at prime minister's house. But yes, all guests did speak to the president and (his) wife," Shabana, who was invited with her lyricist husband Javed Akhtar, posted on Twitter.

The actress and social activist is glad that India is in a position to welcome Obama and his wife Michelle confidently.

"India used to b a recipient of USA aid. Today, we are in a position to provide jobs to USA So a confident India welcomes Obama with her head held high," she added.

Actor-producer Aamir Khan too attended the high-profile dinner Sunday.

The Obamas will be leaving India Tuesday morning.

Saif Ali Khan says no to HollywoodBollywood star Saif Ali Khan says he has no plans to uproot himself to go and work in Hollywood movies.

"Not really. I think they are very serious about how they make movies. You have to go and set up a base, start from the scratch about how to speak, how to act. You have to struggle and start all over again," Saif said when he was here for an event.

"I am quite happy where I am today and not try to uproot myself by working in Hollywood. I would rather concentrate more and more on being successful in my own field," he added.

The 40-year-old was here to participate in the celebrations of Taj Enlighten Film Society, which has been validated as India's largest film society by the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI).

Saif is currently busy producing his home production "Agent Vinod" and wishes to make international style movies in future.

"I'd like to make films like 'Omkara', 'Parineeta'. We are actually meeting up people in Mumbai to bring in new talent and make international style of cinema. I'll try to make films that are not only successful in monetary terms but also give us creative satisfaction," he said.

Tropical storm 'Jal'

The tropical storm 'Jal' is being tracked by NASA as the depression has now left the peninsula with mild overcast western region after it created much havoc with rain and thundershowers in Andhra Pradesh killing 11 people and many evacuated from their lands. The satellite images at 8 a.m. EDT show the depression still active over the Arabian Sea where its centre lies and has been storming the western ghats wildly.

On Monday the Nov 8th the center of the storm was on the land, 25 miles north of Hospet, Karnataka at 2.30 a.m. while the Cyclone was active over Mahabaleshwar on Sunday at 6 p.m as the weather observer said that it was followed by heavy rains there. During the weekend the cyclonic storms moved across the east central India affecting the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh as well as the northern coast of Tamil Nadu, north of Chennai.

So according to the latest reports by NASA the gusty winds followed by heavy have only affected Andhra and the city of Mahabaleshwar which comes under the municipal corporation of Satara in Maharashtra located on the Western Ghats which are famous for cloud bursts and extremely heavy rainfall.

The weekend was bad for the southern coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh as the destruction to life and normal living conditions was huge in just 24 hours. They were waiting for flooding waters to recede to actually get a clear picture of the loss to roads, public property, crops and houses in the region.

The situation is being tracked by the NASA satellites and the destruction by rainfall in Andhra as well as Mahabaleshwar needs centers attention.

Yamla Pagla Deewana [Trailer & First Look]: A Roller Coaster Of Laughter And Comedy

Produced by Nitin Manmohan and Samir Karnik, the bollywood movie Yamla Pagla Deewana is to be released on 14th January 2011. Three main characters around whom the whole script of this movie revolves are Papa Dharmendra, elder son Sunny Deol and younger son Bobby Deol. Movie is a fun with a different kind of comedy.

It reminds of Dharmendra at his best on Sholay, and Sunny at his best in Damini. Sunny Deol in one scene tells Bobby that those days are gone when climbing on a water tank used to help in getting married, reminding of the biggest blockbuster of Bollywood Sholay in which Dharmendra (Veeru) climbing on a water tank threatening Mausi of Basanti (Hema Malini) to jump down from it else she agrees to marry Veeru with Basanti.

The movie has songs, dialogues and captions from earlier hits of trio Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby woven together in a comical manner to get you hooked on to the screen. Not only that, it would also be reminding you of their hit movies' dialogues, scenes and songs that are still lying in our minds. Like who has forgotten the famous dialogues of Dharmendra in the movie Sholay when he tells Gabbar Singh – Kuttey Mein Tera Khoon Pee Jaunga. And the court scenes of Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri in the hit movie Damini when Sunny quite impressively argues and counter argues with Amrish Puri.

The movie is being released under the banner of One Up Entertainment & Top Angle Productions. The famous old song of Dharmendra Mein Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana will once again be available in this movie but in an entirely different manner. The story is about two conmen – Dharam and Bobby and an NRI – Sunny. The comedy is clear and loud and fits well with all three. In one scene Sunny tells his foreigner wife to send their children to India so that they can learn Indian culture and the kids.

Bobby would be seen romancing with many cute girls at the same time. Dharmendra is seen with a bucket full of liquor saying Jat Risky after partyWhisky. The movie is claimed to have comedy, romance, action, drama and lots of confusion. Johny Lever is also in a lead comedy role.

KBC: Kaun Banega Crorepati season finale Big B to quiz family

The entire Bachchan clan will be on display at the Kaun Banega Crorepati grnad finale episode to be aired in December this time. Big B will be on his quizmaster seat as usual only to face the whole of his family on the hot seat.

As the grand season finale of KBC will be clashing with the Bigg Boss getting murkier and interesting in December, the whole of the Bacchan family complete with daughter Shweta Nanda, wife Jaya, Abhishek the eternal prankster son accompanying his wife Aishwarya Rai, the perfect Bahu Amitabh Bacchcan seems to have dreamt of, will be there with him boosting the TRPs for him.

However the channel honchos are denying any competition with the rival show Bigg Boss coming up on Colors but the move seems to be very much on the lines of our expectation.

The whole of the family will be bidding the season goodbye this time.

Talks for another season of the KBC on Sony are already underway with Amitabh Bacchcan as the quizmaster again but no official confirmation has been made yet.

In the reaity show segment the show Kaun Banega Crorepati is far ahead of them all only getting stiff competition from Bigg Boss which too was hosted by Big B last season. This time the eternal bachelor Salman Khan is flavoring the show with his remarks and everyone is just loving it.

Anyway the season finale with the Bachchan clan in full splendor on the small screen will just be too much and is much awaited.

We have seen the father and son or the father-son-bahu together in some shows earlier but the whole family coming on together is certainly a first and very much watchable.

It is a beginning of new era on Day 34 inside Bigg Boss Season 4 House when all sexy girls – Aanchal, Veena, Sara and Shweta go to swim in Pool in their respective Bikinis. Sara and Ali are close to each other with bare minimum clothes in the pool.

Dolly calls Veena to come to kitchen saying that if she is the member of kitchen team she must perform kitchen work. Manoj and Hrishant are discussing about Veena that she was intentionally getting too close to Ashmit to draw attention from Hrishant and make him jealous.

Manoj said another marriage can happen in the House as he feels that Veena is getting serious about Hrishant. Hrishant said he has told very clearly to Veena that he want to concentrate first on his career and work for next 1-2 years.

Dolly and Ashmit are figthting. Dolly says why Veena is massaging Ashmit and not working in the kitchen. Ashmit says he will do whatever he wants to do with whomsoever and Dolly is nobody to dictate him. Dolly tells Ashmit that he can keep barking. Dolly says Veena told her that Ashmit is a boring guy.

Ashmit tells Dolly to let his massage carry on. Dolly tells Veena that she should speak truth in front. Ashmit puts his hand in front of Dolly's face and tells her to talk to his hand.

Dolly tells him about his scandalous MMS and tells her that he is a Pig. She tells Ashmit that he is a big mischeief. She tells him that he is a psycho case and he should attend to Rehab.

Dolly tells Seema not to prepare tea and Veena must come to prepare tea. Veena is continuously massaging Ashmit. Dolly tells Khali that she is going to beat Ashmit today. Ashmit tells he is goint to kitchen to prepare tea and tells Veena to tell him the recipe. Ashmit goes to kitchen to prepare tea.

Dolly says she is the captain of kitchen and she does not allow Ashmit to prepare tea. Hrishant tells Dolly why she is asking him and not telling Ashmit directly. Dolly closes the burner on which Ashmit keeps the tea bowl.

Ashmit ignites burner again and Dolly pick up the bowl and throws it in the sink. Ashmit calls her a dog. Dolly asks Ashmit why is he holding the bowl and switches off the burner. Dolly challenges him if he has guts then he touches her and she will teach him a lesson.

Ashmit is adamant on preparing tea by re-igniting burner and holding tea utensil. Ashmit asks Dolly if he is a good actor. Dolly tells Ashmit he is a big loser. Ashmit makes faces on her. Dolly reminds him of MMS again. Samir asks Ashmit how many boils of tea has taken place.

Dolly tells her to come near to the burner and support Ashmit. She invites Hrishant also to come and support Ashmit. Hrishant shouts at Dolly. Ashmit taunts everyone to shout as there is so much silence around.

Ashmit tells Dolly that he loves Dolly and Dolly tells her that his bones will be broken once he is out. Ashmit asks Dolly to taste tea prepared by his magical hands. Dolly tells him that she has seen the magic of his hands in his MMS.

Ashmit tells Dolly ok my love. Dolly tells Ashmit that he will have to pay for his MMS. Dolly tells everyone especially Khali that Ashmit was on a trip with a famous actress, took her MMS in private moment and made it public on internet.

She further tells Veena has three men outside and three inside to whom she is entertaining around – Manoj, Ashmit and Hrishant. She says all these people are dirty minds. Khali says he wants to go out for a walk in the garden.

Ali tells Ashmit what she did with Dolly was perfectly ok as such people do not understand any other language. They discuss about KRK's bottle throwing in the previous season and discuss that something of such sort will definitely happen due to Dolly's behaviour. Ashmit' uncovered back is being massaged by Veena.

Shweta says Dolly always wants to dominate everyone. Ashmit says he hinted Dolly earlier also that he can not be suppressed by her like others. Probably by now it is everyone versus Dolly in the House except Khali who is purely neutral with whatever is happening around.

Ali, Ashmit, Veena, Manoj, Veena and Aanchal are discussing about Dolly that she doesn't have kids. Ashmit says that it is good otherwise they would have been traumatized. Ashmit says expect the worst and be prepared. Samir trims eyebrows of Ashmit and Hrishant.

Nominations process starts and Bigg Boss caalls Ashmit. Hrishant and Ali are safe whereas Veena and Sara have been nominated by outgoing Bhatt. Ashmit nominates Dolly and Manoj Tiwary.

Samir names Dolly and Ashmit. Shweta names Dolly and Ashmit. Aanchal names Dolly and Shweta. Manoj names Khali and Ashmit. Veena names Shweta and Samir. Seema names Dolly and Ashmit.

Khali names Veena Malik and Samir. Dolly names Veena Malik and Ashmit Patel. Sara names Veena and Manoj. Hrishant has a special right being the Captain of House to name one person who will straightaway be nominated for eviction. He names Aanchal.

Bigg Boss announces that the nominated persons are Dolly, Aanchal and Ashmit. Aanchal says she does not mind being nominated. All housemates tell Ashmit not to worry as he will not be evicted.

Bigg Boss tells all housemates to prepare for music and decorations related to Sara and Ali's marriage. Everybody is discussing that food wise Dolly is very caring for everyone in the House but otherwise she plays blame game.

They feel Dolly feels very insecure otherwise and keep suspecting everyone. They say she has a big heart but has a dual personality.

Arjun Kapoor the son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor from his wife Mona is all set to hit the big screen with his debut film under the Yash Raj banners instead of his fathers tag. Boney Kapoor wanted to launch his son in Mr. India 2 but as things did not come out too well too soon therefore Arjun took up the YR banner. Boney Kapoor in 2008 had a dispute with Yash Chopra about the casting of his wife Sridevi.

Yash Chopra wanted that the actress be cast in a flick along with Amitabh Bachchan under his banner however Boney refused since he wanted to cast Sridevi only with his production firm instead of any other.

Talking it out Amar Singh tried to convince Boney about the entire thing but the filmmaker refused to give in. This situation took place long while back and today it is utmost true that Arjuns launch under the trusted banner of Yash Raj is a much better launch pad then many other options.

This option is also fine with Boney since he is also a father who wants the best for his boy. But does this fair acceptance truly mean that the tiffs between the two are over. With the official announcement soon to hit the floor about Arjun's casting Boney is also very pleased about the bright future of his son.

A spokes person from Yash Raj informed that Arjun has been taken up for a movie under the banner of Yash Raj and that there are no ill feelings that the two filmmakers share as both are thorough professional

According to reports the actress will be all bare dare for the movie as the project requires her to shed off all inhibitions and perform some sizzling love scenes along with high dosed smooching.

Confirming this fact the actress says that she is not at all shy as an actor and it is no big deal to her since she has done the same in a lot many films opposite actors like John Abraham and Ranbir Kapoor.

Talking about the film Singularity the actress says that it is a solely passionate love story about two individuals working in the security force set across the 17th century background of Anglo-Maratha war in India.

The two individuals include a body guard and a British Soldier who are living in different parts.

Talking about her role in the movie Bipasha says that she is playing the part of the Body guard in protection of the queen. As she is the bodyguard therefore she is supposed to perform a lot of stunts and action sequels for the movie too.

Therefore Bip's is into adventurous things nowadays like Horse Riding, deep sea diving, under water swimming, fencing and a lot more for the perfect execution of her part. Bipasha has made it clear that she will take her time and learn all of it since this is all new to her.

Sedan is going great guns in India and that is why most of the major automobile manufacturers here in India are taking advantage of that. Sedan design has a unique feature of wider back than front and that unique design feature has made it a hit among Indian Car buyers' community.

First it was Maruti, the first volume car maker in the country in collaboration with Suzuki Motors of Japan who launched one of their Swift models based on Sedan design named as DZire. Swift DZire is a big hit on Indian roads all across the country. Fiat was not far behind to launch their Polo Sedan soon after.

Tata Indigo going on the same lines to mark their own Sedan design signature launched Indigo Sedan named as Manza. Nissan Motors India has announced to launch their new Sedan in India by early second quarter of 2011.

They have named it as Nissan Sunny. Tough to say that if the sketches of the car that were leaked from Nissan headquarters due to security failures were that of this model or not but it seems that the new release by Nissan is going to be a big hit the moment it is released.

It is reportedly said that Nissan Sunny is based on their Micra V-model. Sedan and Micra are similar in many ways as far as the design part is concerned. But presumably Nissan is planning to design its Sunny in such a way that it appears as unique and totally different to Sedan design.

Nissan Sunny is a 1.5 L car, with 110 bhp engine and 148 Nm of torque. Officially the price of Nissan Sunny is not released yet but it would be in the range of 8 to 9 lac. The images released say that Nissan Sunny would be a close design of Nissan Teana and would be a petrol variant.

If it comes only in petrol version then it will be a singular player in the field with a fight to Fiat's Linea and Hyundai's Verna; but if Nissan launches diesel version of Sunny then there will be a tight war between Sunny, DZire and Manza.

Nissan and Renault have jointly decided to manufacture Sunny in their Oragadam plant close to Chennai in India. This is the same plant where Micra is being manufactured. Gradually in the coming couple of months more official information releases are being expected from the manufacturer in this aspect.
