Bob Fosse And Heidi Klum Floped 'So You Think You Can Dance' with Alex Wong, Lauren Gottlieb

If you're interested in Bob Fosse's work, he choreographed "The Pajama Game," "White Christmas" and "Sweet Charity," among others. For an excellent biography of his life, check out Roy Scheider and Fosse himself in "All That Jazz."

His next musical, "Damn Yankees," brought more awards and established his life-long creative collaboration with Gwen Verdon, who had the starring role. With her inspiration, Fosse created a stream of classic dances. By 1960, Fosse was a nationally known and respected choreographer, married to Verdon (by then a beloved Broadway star) and father to their child Nicole. Yet Fosse struggled with many of his producers and directors, who wished him to tone down or remove the "controversial" parts of his dances. Tired of subverting his artistic vision for the sake of "being proper," Fosse realized that he needed to be the director as well as the choreographer in order to have control over his dances.

Robert Louis "Bob" Fosse (June 23, 1927 – September 23, 1987) was an American dancer, musical theater choreographer, director, screenwriter and film director. He won an unprecedented eight Tony Awards for choreography, as well as one for direction. He was nominated for an Academy Award four times, winning for his direction of Cabaret. He was closely identified with his third wife, Broadway dancing star Gwen Verdon. She was both the dancer/collaborator/muse upon whom he choreographed much of his work and, together with dancer/choreographer Ann Reinking, a significant guardian of the Fosse legacy after his death.

This morning, we picked up Heidi Klum in some delicious photos for GQ Germany. We have no doubt the photos are Bob Fosse-inspired. In the tradition of "All that Jazz" and "Carabet", see Heidi Klum.

Fosse, whose father worked in vaudeville, was half of the Riff Brothers dance act by the age of thirteen. He enlisted in the Navy after high school and served two years. He then began his career as a dancer. By age twenty-one, Fosse was hoofing in road companies and, soon after that, on Broadway.

Super Adventure Club Of 2010

"South Park". The Super Adventure Club is portrayed club that makes every members go around the world to molest children as it is the only thing that has been left undone by the great explorers of the world.

"The Return of Chef" is episode 140 of Comedy Central's animated series South Park and aired on March 22, 2006. It was advertised as the tenth season premiere. The episode was the first after the departure of Isaac Hayes, who voiced Chef.

Hayes, a Scientologist, left after a falling out with the creators over their treatment of Scientology in the episode "Trapped in the Closet." Scientology has been accused of using brainwashing techniques, and the episode portrays Chef as having been brainwashed.

Cystic Fibrosis Criticism of 'unholy mess'

When the HSE said last year it would not have funds to begin construction of the new block until 2011 at the earliest there was outrage among CF patients. Ms Harney said developers would be asked to tender for the project on the understanding they would not be paid until it was completed.

Cystic Fibrosis is a common hereditary disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death. The name cystic fibrosis refers to the characteristic scarring (fibrosis) and cyst formation within the pancreas, first recognized in the 1930s. Difficulty breathing is the most serious symptom and results from frequent lung infections that are treated, though not cured, by antibiotics and other medications. A multitude of other symptoms, including sinus infections, poor growth, diarrhea, and infertility result from the effects of CF on other parts of the body.

Not so, contends Dr. Jerry Nick of National Jewish Health in Denver, home of one of the largest adult CF treatment centers. He studied how more than 3,000 long-term survivors fared, both at his center and using data from patients included in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's national registry over 15 years. He found that once their disease revs up, those diagnosed as adults can deteriorate as quickly as those diagnosed younger.

Alnylam, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, rose 13 cents to $15.25 at 4 p.m. New York time in Nasdaq stock market composite trading. Isis, based in Carlsbad, California, increased 5 cents to $9.19.

"Inherited" means that the disease is passed through the genes from parents to children. People who have CF inherit two faulty CF genes—one from each parent. The parents likely don't have the disease themselves.

She met Stern, who was born into one of Europe's oldest banking families, at a dinner in 1997 and the financier was immediately smitten. There followed a weekend at Stern's chateau in Burgundy and trysts in hotels all over the world.

A banker who was found dead wearing a latex suit. Stern was murdered by his mistress Cecile Brossard. Lemigova believed Brossard threatened to blackmail Stern and she also believed her ex-lover was behind the death of her baby in 2002.

Iconic Nurse Edith Shain Dies From Eisenstaedt's WWII Photo

Edith Shain has died. She was 92. She worked at Doctor's Hospital in New York City during World War II, but you probably only knew her as an anonymous nurse. In the 1970s, Shain wrote to Alfred Eisenstaedt, claiming to be the nurse in the picture.

Her son Michael Shain described Eisenstaedt's photo as having captured "an epic moment in American history, one that inspired patriotism, unity, joy and a spontaneous national pride in victoriously ending the war."

"I went from hospital to Times Square that day because the war was over, and where else does a New Yorker go?

"And this guy grabbed me and we kissed, and then I turned one way and he turned the other."

V–J day in Times Square is a famous photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt that portrays an American sailor kissing a young woman in a white dress on V-J Day in Times Square on August 14, 1945. The photograph was originally published a week later in Life magazine among many photographs of celebrations around the country that were presented in a twelve-page section called Victory. A two-page spread faces three other kissing poses among celebrators in Washington, D.C., Kansas City, and Miami, Florida opposite Eisenstaedt's, which is given a full page display.

What Did Mcchrystal Say Lost His Reputation‎

The main problem with the whole article is simply that it shows a brutally honest general who always says what he's thinking and means what he says. Exactly the kind of guy you want fighting for you in a war! But not the kind of guy you want be interviewed by anyone, or standing in for you as a diplomat.

"I think it's clear that the article in which he and his team appeared showed a poor showed poor judgment," the president said Tuesday, surrounded by members of his Cabinet at the close of their meeting. "But I also want to make sure that I talk to him directly before I make any final decisions."

General Stanley McChrystal has come under fire after he made a number of comments in Rolling Stone magazine that have come back to haunt him. McChrystal is currently the leading commander in Afghanistan, and the remarks that he made regarding local officials have portrayed certain aspects of the war in a bad light.

McChrystal's beef probably isn't about wanting more troops or money, Neumann thinks. "Ambassadors always ask for more money and generals always ask for more soldiers. But I don't know there's any special need for any more of each one. In fact, I'm not sure we can use all the money we got. There's an absorption capacity problem. If you put in more, you'll probably just get corruption."

Jessie Lunderby The Latest Album And The Jail

The blonde beauty, who has been named Cyber Girl of the Week by that magazine, has come under fire for her decision to pose naked. In fact, KSLA News reports Lunderby was placed on "administrative leave" for the photo, even though she says she cleared it with her bosses and it was taken on her own time.

Cantrell said Lunderby will remain on leave until an internal investigation is complete. That process could result in any number of disciplinary measures, Cantrell said, including termination. There is no set timetable for a decision to be made.

Countering her accusers on local television, Jessie Lunderby states that she told her supervisors of her intent to appear nude, but did not receive negative feedback from them until after the shoot became public.

Meanwhile the Chief Deputy J J Cantrell said that the officials were still debating which way to address the problem. So till they decide what to do with Jessie, they decided that the best course was to suspend her and to place on her paid administrative leave. He also added that, the officials think that she is guilty of violating two policies of the department.

England's goal arrived at minute 23 through the feet of Jermain Defoe. The goal brought back to life the slow team we had been watching on the FIFA World cup and they got more chances to score more goals, but didn't work well.

United States played an attacking game and they did lots of attacks on the Algerian goal. The match was very excited and crucial also. They won the game in the last moments of the match. Algerian team also made several attempts but those attempts were not good and only three of them were on target out of 19 attempts. USA made eight outstanding efforts but it was their bad luck that they have missed with inches while some hit on the pole. Both team players received two yellow cards also. A red card was also shown to Yahia of Algeria. The goal scored in the 91 minute of the game by "Landon Donovan".

Goalkeeper: Tim Howard.

Defenders: Steve Cherundolo, Jay DeMerit, Carlos Bocanegra, Jonathan Bornstein.

Midfielders: Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Maurice Edu, Clint Dempsey.

Forwards: Herculez Gomez, Jozy Altidore.

In one particularly notable play, the team set up Jozy Altidore to tap in the ball. The Algerian goalkeeper was stuck in a corner of the box and Altidore had the ball at the center. He just needed to tap it in, but he powered it too hard and it sailed over the top. A collective moan rose in the audience that actually could be heard over the buzzing sound of the South African vuvuzelas.

But this group has been a nonsense. England are in tatters and there's no guarantee whatsoever that they can beat Slovenia. Meanwhile, supporters of the United States have been left with a sour taste from their own game against Slovenia, despite what was a wonderful second-half comeback from a two goal deficit in my favourite match of the tournament so far.

The overall traffic record was set earlier this month during the first day of World Cup action, where traffic exceeded 12 million visitors per minute. We'll wait and see what the final numbers are from Akamai, but for the moment, it looks like Donovan's goal will go down in Internet history at least as a solid number two.

Pretty Little Liars Episode 3

The girls went back in the woods to tell Ally goodbye but they're again followed by a mysterious person. A bracelet that belonged to Alison was discovered. In the final seconds of the installment, a person wearing gloves is seen making copies the photo booth picture of Emily and Maya kissing at the party, and later on that same individual is seen printing a whole big wall of them.

Fallowing the storyline of the newest episode; Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Episode 3: To Kill a Mocking Girl, Old and fresh relationships are examined as the young women attempt to pay tribute to Alison's memory with unresolved issues on their veils. The girls will realize that leaving the past behind is much harder than they first thought. An interesting part of the episode runs with the saying "The past will come back to haunt you" do not apply to these four girls, Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily.

The Pretty Little Liars keep receiving more text messages, e-mails and notes from the mysterius 'A'. The notes make them all think of who can be 'A' but they all come up with different suspects. Several residents of Rosewood look guilty but are they 'A' who is that just what 'A' wants them to think to throw them off track.

Today there are an estimated 17 million Oneness Pentecostals worldwide. In the United States, there are some 2.1 million of them divided into numerous denominations and splinter groups that all trace their roots to the Azusa Street Revival of 1906. The largest Oneness organization, the United Pentecostal Church (UPC), has grown to 700,000 in this country; several black and Hispanic Oneness groups, often called "apostolic" churches, are also experiencing growth in the 1990s.

In remembrance of Gerald A. Mangun, longtime friend Charles Charrier said "To me, he was a great mentor, a great person and a bigger-than-life spiritual leader-He represented everything good, true, honorable and honest. His passing grieves me deeply." It has left a whole community saddened this evening.

For her stage name she took Gypsy, a nickname she derived from her hobby of reading tea leaves, and combined it with her real first name, Rose, and Lee, which she added on a whim. As Gypsy Rose Lee she launched a hugely successful career in burlesque, incorporating humor and intelligence, as well as the requisite removal of various articles of clothing, into her act. She became extremely popular, even appearing at the last place anyone would expect, high society balls. Once she had conquered the stages of burlesque, she decided to try her hand at movies.

Her early efforts to get Louise into show business largely came to nothing, but that all changed in 1916, when Rose had another child, June. June was much more beautiful, photogenic and talented than Louise apparently could ever hope to be, which soon caused Rose to pack up her two children and search for a career in vaudeville (she divorced her husband when he objected to a career in show business). By the time Louise was seven and June five, they had put together a very successful act, Baby June and Her Farmboys. June was, of course, the star, and Louise was put in the chorus, though she did get an occasional moment in the spotlight.

Gypsy Rose Lee (January 8, 1911 – April 26, 1970) was an American burlesque entertainer, famous for her striptease act. She was also an actress, author and playwright, whose 1957 memoir was made into the stage musical and film Gypsy.
