| Karan Johar wants to interview Aamir Khan Posted: 30 Oct 2010 04:43 AM PDT  Director Karan Johar, who is coming up with the third season of "Koffee with Karan", said he would be honoured to bring and interview superstar Aamir Khan in his popular talk show. "I had a chat with Aamir. I am trying to have him in this season. I think Aamir has proven his mettle as a filmmaker, actor and as a personality I think we should all be really proud of. Aamir conceptually has said that we would do it but we are yet to figure out a date and a schedule. It would be my honour to interview Aamir Khan," Karan told reporters here Friday. For the first time, actor couple Abhishek and Aishwarya would be appearing in any talk show together after their marriage. "It was a great to have Abhi and Ash, there are my friends only. After their marriage, it's their first appearance together in a talk show. There were many things that I wanted to know, which I think audience would love to know because they are really one of the royal couple of Bollywood," said Karan. Stories were making rounds that estranged couple actor Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra would appear together in the show, but Karan rubbished the speculations showering praise on their acting skills. "There is a media conjecture but I haven't spoken to them (Shahid and Priyanka). They are great couple on screen. I would say 'Kaminey' was a fantastic film and Shahid and Priyanka are big reason for that. I would love to have Shahid and Priyanka together," said Karan. Karan maintains that he wouldn't take advantage of his personal rapport with the stars to unravel their secrets beyond a certain level. "I never offend any of my guests. I try to make them feel comfortable as I invite them to my show. Yes, some sequences are revealed, some fun conversation happened but I don't think anything is offensive," said Karan. "There are new enemies, new lovers and new controversies, so we will talk on that," he added. "Koffee with Karan" would be aired on STAR World from Nov 7.

| Vivek Oberoi got married with Priyanka Alva Posted: 30 Oct 2010 04:38 AM PDT  Hindi film actor Vivek Oberoi married Priyanka Alva, daughter of late Karnataka political leader Jeevraj Alva, here Friday. The 28-year-old Priyanka is a Business Management graduate from Britain. Her mother Nandini is a well known classical dancer. Jeevraj Alva, a Janata Dal-United leader and a minister in the Ramakrishna Hegde ministry in Karnataka, passed away in 2001. The wedding, both in Karnataka and Punjabi style, took place at the sprawling farm house of Alvas in north Bangalore. The Oberois -- father Suresh Oberoi was also a leading Hindi film actor -- will host a reception in Mumbai Sunday. The pre-wedding ceremonies began Thursday and continued till Friday evening when the 'barat' reached Alva's house. The wedding comes a few days after the release of Vivek's latest bollywood flick, "Rakht Charitra", across India.

| Mel Gibson could be behind bars Posted: 30 Oct 2010 04:22 AM PDT  Hollywood actor Mel Gibson may go to jail for contempt of court if he is found guilty of failing to pay child support to former partner Oksana Grigorieva for their daughter Lucia. The 54-year-old actor is accused by ex-partner Oksana Grigorieva of breaching a court order to provide $20,000 a month in child support for their daughter Lucia and if found guilty at a Nov 10 court hearing Gibson could face jail. "For three consecutive months, Mel has paid Oksana somewhere between $5,000 and $10,000 each month, it varies, but either way, it is well short of what a judge instructed he must deliver the mother of his child," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. Oksana's attorney Lisa Bloom claimed Mel was a "deadbeat dad" who is trying to "bully" Oksana out of the money he is supposed to hand over to her. "Mel Gibson, at this point, is a deadbeat dad." Asked why Gibson who is rumoured to be worth $600 million had failed to pay the monthly figure, she said: "Because he wants to continue to bully Oksana. This is a pattern of behaviour that has gone on and on and he thinks he can take advantage of the mother of his daughter."

The singer and her husband Rene Angelil welcomed twin boys, Nelson and Eddy, at a hospital in Florida Oct 23 after months of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatments. The 42-year-old star revealed that she was initially pregnant with three babies, reports contactmusic.com. But just five days after doctors told her the happy news, the third baby's heart stopped beating. "He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow," she said.

He is happy with the position he has in the industry and adds that he has "a long way to go". "They have worked in iconic and more successful films. Aamir's debut movie 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' was a superhit, Salman's 'Maine Pyar Kiya' was also a superhit, Shah Rukh's done equally good. I am really happy with the position where I am," Saif told reporters here Friday. "I look forward to doing better films and rising up to that position, but they are senior to me and have worked in great films. They completely deserve the position they are in. I have a lot of respect for them," he said. The actor was speaking at the Epicentre Auditorium in Apparel House, Gurgaon to join celebrations with the Taj Enlighten Film Society, which has been validated as India's Largest Film Society by the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI). Although Saif has carved a niche for himself in the industry, he says he has a long way to go. "I think I do have a niche. I think I have the saleability, I have the ability to roll a project as a producer as well as the lead actor, which in itself is substantially satisfying achievement. But am I satisfied with the depth of the niche? No, of course not. I want it to be much deeper, work harder. I have a long way to go. Work is in progress." The actor is now busy with his first production venture spy thriller "Agent Vinod", which also stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead. "It is a very basic story. We are working hard on it and trying to take the action and the drama to another level," he said. After "Omkara", he is again in talks with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj to star in his new film. "I am looking forward to working with Vishal Bhardwaj. We are on the verge of finalising things," he added.

Giving an unconventional approach to his collection, Rocky used white for his showstopper -- a colour not usually used for weddings. "What is interesting is to see an Indian bride in a white lehenga. So surreal and beautiful. The garment is stunning and I think that in itself is a reflection of the line. What Rocky is trying to do with this collection is asking why stick with the mould? Break it and try something new," Dia told IANS late Friday. "And I think it works very well because wearing it I felt beautiful. The garment is stunning and quite honestly, if I were to be getting married, white could be quite a colour for me," the actress said. Rocky's collection also entailed other shades including maroon, red, burgundy, beige, brown, pink, peach, grey and black along with a few more whites. "The signature colours were black and white but I have used a lot of other hues too. I feel today we are out of the typical Indian colours. We are now in a new generation, when you see the collection you will realise that it is styled in a very modern way," said Rocky. "Just because it is a bridal collection, we don't have to be completely Indian in our approach. We are today's people and we dress up in a very different manner than just wearing a typical lehenga or a salwar kameez," he added. The designer's collection, along with Indian lehenga's and sarees, also included varied cocktail dresses and westernised kurtis and tights. The show also had something for the men. Male models showcased what a bridegroom can look forward to this wedding season. Velvet blazers, bright, embroidered and plain sherwanis and classic tuxedos completed the men's collection. The show, however, did face a slight glitch, when a model sporting a net sari, slipped while coming down the stairs.

| Charlie Sheen found naked in restaurant toilet Posted: 30 Oct 2010 03:45 AM PDT  "Two and a Half Men" actor Charlie Sheen was reportedly found naked and covered in cocaine in restaurant toilet. Sheen was taken to hospital earlier this week for psychiatric tests after he allegedly trashed a hotel room and was found nude with a prostitute. He was apparently caught with the Class A drug all over his face with no clothes on. "Before Charlie flipped out at the hotel and police were called, he was wasted at the restaurant. He was snorting cocaine and drinking vodka. He was also drinking wine. And he was wasted," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. The actor is believed to have been in the restaurant with his assistant Rick and two of their male friends, when he asked four women to join them. According to the report, Sheen was snorting cocaine and drinking vodka and wine. One of the women, porn star Christina Walsh, was apparently promised $12,000 by Sheen if she spent the night with him. It is believed the couple returned to his hotel room with the intention of taking drugs and having sex, but police shortly arrived to discover him drunk and naked in the trashed suite. An insider claims the altercation began when Charlie couldn't find his wallet to pay for Christina's "services", and accused her of stealing it. "That's when Charlie flipped out and Christina fled into the bathroom and locked the door. He was pounding on it and that led to the series of phone calls with the police showing up. Now she's furious because he still never paid her!" The actor was enjoying a mini-break with his ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters Sam and Lola - who were staying at the same hotel but in a separate room - at the time of the alleged altercation, for which the actor could be charged for holding Christina against her will.

"It's very exciting to collaborate with Ludacris for the music video of 'Breakaway'. It's great to have the opportunity to work with such great artists from across the globe. Ludacris is going to make the music video one to watch out for," Akshay said in a statement. The film to be directed by Robert Lieberman is a cross-cultural hockey drama set in the Indo-Canadian community of suburban Toronto, Canada. Other than Akshay, Anupam Kher, Vinay Virmani, Russell Peters, Rob Lowe and Camilla Belle are said to feature in the film.

| Hollywood Movie: 'From Paris With Love' Review Posted: 30 Oct 2010 03:19 AM PDT  Film: "From Paris With Love"; Director: Pierre Morel; Cast: John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak; Rating: *1/2 Luc Besson began his film career on a firm ground with "The Last Combat". Not many debutant directors get away with a silent film. He did. Sadly, what he has been doing since is a perfect example of potential gone waste. Like "From Paris With Love", based on his story and which he has produced. Reece (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent, working with the American Embassy in Paris, who has a loving girlfriend in Caroline (Kasia Smutniak). He gets an assignment to pick up a CIA operative who is on a mission Reece is clueless about. The operative, Wax (John Travolta), has methods that are not even closely textbook. Reece is angry when Wax pushes him to the edge of his patience without telling him about the mission. However, when they do find out, Reece discovers he is deeper in this mess then he had ever expected. "From Paris With Love" begins with a barrage of cliches. A decent cine-watcher can literally predict almost every single line that the characters speak before they do. And it continues for one third of the movie. However, things get better when the action starts. Though there's nothing original about the action either, the sharp editing, cars blowing up and rockets being fired, up the ante. Travolta plays an agent who never works by the book. Nothing original in that either. What is original perhaps is the amount of attention this secret agent draws to himself. You often end up wondering how he became one in the first place. Overall, if you are an action junkie, you might enjoy a few scenes in this predictable thriller. But if you are expecting jaw-dropping stunts that Hollywood is famous for, you had better give this film a miss.
