 Nanaji Deshmukh died Nanaji Deshmukh, the veteran Jana Sangh leader breathed his last in the Sadguru Seva Sangh hospital at Chitrakoot today evening. He was 95. Deshmukh had complained of chest pain this morning which lead to his being taken to the hospital where his death took place. He had gone to Jana Sangh from RSS, but he gave up politics at the age of 60 in accordance with his belief that all politicians should retire from politics when they reach that age. Probably the only politician to have severed all connection with politics on reaching 60, he took to constructive work with vigour after that time. He took to constructive work with full vigor after his retirement. Nanaji Deskhmukh was considered close to Jaya Prakash Narayan and Ramnath Goenk from Indian Express. |

The 8.8 magnitude earthquake which took place yesterday was not exactly at the top of the list. Though if we go through this list, we find that the largest earthquake that took place was in Chile itself. May 22, 1960 : 9.5 magnitude quake in southern Chile generated tsunami killing 1,716 people March 27, 1964 : 9.2 magnitude quake in Prince William Sound in Alaska generated tsunami killing 128 people. August 13, 1868: A magnitude 9.0 quake in Arica, Peru (now Chile) more than 25,000 people were killed in South America. He would really want them leaving with three points at the end of the day which would be kind of a revenge upon John Terry. Wayne Bridge, though, before that will face the most anticipated moment. It will be the pre-match handshake which happens before every Premier League football match. Who will hold out hand for whom will be interesting to see. Such awkward moments form the anticipation point for any sport! Talking of defending, Bridge will be desperate for a good game free of mistakes to show his critics as much as anything else that he is a decent full-back. Fabio Capello certainly believes that, or he would not have got anywhere near the England squad. What a pity for Bridge, then, that it has come to this. As for defending, Wayne bridge would like to keep his game mistake free to show that he is one of the most decent full-back. | Canada wins Over Slovakia by 3-2 Posted: 27 Feb 2010 04:48 AM PST A great victory for Canada in the semi-final match against Slovakia in The Vancouver 2010 Ice Hockey. The match ended up with score being 3-2. Canada dominated from the very first period and scored 3 in the first two periods. Though Slovakia attempted to score in the second period but could not go beyond 2 goals. Now, the team shall fight for gold on the coming Sunday. Fans are expecting the finals to be between USA and Canada. Everybody is just keeping their fingers crossed for the terrific finals. |

A tsunami warning was issued for the island of Hawaii due to the waves which were generated due to the Chile earthquake late last Saturday. This becomes a source of great fear for all the residents and the tourists which hoard the island in this season.
