According to the sources, the movie remake is without the original cast, who were in the prior version of the movie in year 1989. Lead actor Rick Moranis, would not be seen in the movie as the actor retired from acting long back. Those who have no Idea about the movie’s plot can read it.. |
Come Celebrate With Us The Strawberry Festival at Plant City Posted: 06 Mar 2010 10:09 AM PST The Plant City is celebrating its Strawberry Fest. Its theme being "Come Celebrate With Us." The festival has its 75th birthday being celebrated at Florida. The fest was started on Thursday and it would continue till Sunday March 14 For the fest they have various entertainment activities, mainly featured would be livestock, vendors and St. Clement Catholic Church Make Your Own Strawberry Shortcake booth which would be set up in the main expo building. Strawberry Festival general manager Paul Davis was pleased to see the crowd, in turn crowd was pleased to see the festival delicacy: strawberry shortcake, piled high with juicy, red berries and fluffy whipped cream, in spite of the cold weather there. Oscar Levant was a regular guest on the show of Jack Paar on NBC during the initial part of 1960s and later part of 1950. He was not only a talented Pianist and composer but also played freaky characters in radio and television. He openly accepted on the television show and talked about his fight against drug obsession, his erratic nature, his despondency, his mental disorders and the treatments he took for them. In his show Jack Paar used to say good night to Oscar Levant. Oscar Levant also wrote songs, did theater and was a reputed author. During the period from 1920 to 1950 Oscar Levant was among the famous people in America. At one time he was a very handsomely paid pianist and his witty remarks, gags and comments were well known and talked about. Oscar Levant was a warm, humorous, upright intellectual but he played skeptical and grim characters in movies. Levant is known for his interpretation on "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. |

Crazy Heart proved to be lucky for first-time director Scott Cooper, because prior to that he hadn’t directed a high school play either as said by co-star Robert Duvall . Producer Duvall, was thanked by Bridges, who made the project rolling after reading the script. Bookmaking firm Coral has been asked to collect Oscar for his performance as a country singer, and has been paid 1/8 amount. Odds-on favourites like Sandra Bullock (best actress) and The Hurt Locker (best film) are accompanying him for the nominations. Pre-Oscars parties are on and buzz is taking over Los Angeles as organisers have finished preparing the Kodak Theatre, also the red carpet has been laid with plastic over it to protect it from rain. Dimpy Ganguly stole the heart of Rahul Mahajan and is the winner of the reality show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayga. Rahul Mahajan, son of late Pramod mahajan giving a back seat to poilitics, entered reality show business with Big Boss Season 3. He has been recently given a huge amount, by the organizers of the show. It was just the stepping stone for him. Later he joined a television show as a Judge and it continued with his entry in Rahul ka Swayamvar. Though he was earlier married to Shweta Singh, an airline pilot, but is all set to get a new bride, the winner of Swayamvar, Dimpy Ganguly from Kolkata, one of the 3 finalists from the group of 16 girls who in order to win Rahul’s heart vied with each other. The other two finalists were Nikunj Malik and Harpreet Chabra, but there was tough competition between Dimpy and Nikunj. Rahul is a lucky guy as he had dozen of girls scrambling for him despite knowing that he was an abusive husband who allegedly beat his former wife, still he became popular among girls after the Big Boss Show. He told The AP on 6th March that the examinations test that Arnie Kander gone through resulted in negative. But NFL team Detroit Pistons’s Guard Rodney Stuckey is still under observation and Doctors are still doing checks. Rodney Stuckey was conscious & taking breath himself after he was admitted in Hospital due to collapse in a game against the Cavaliers on March 5, 2010. Rodney Stuckey, NFL Team Detroit Guard, was taken out off the ground on a stretcher in the 3rd quarter after Stuckey collapsed into Arnie Kander’s arms on the desk. The health personnel put an oxygen mask on Stuckey mouth & taken him in an ambulance on Friday.
