Advocates Welfare Fund Trustee Committee

Chandigarh, March 22- Haryana Government has constituted a Trustee Committee which would be known as Advocates Welfare Fund Trustee Committee.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of  Administration of Justice Department said that the Committee is headed by Advocate General, Haryana as a Chairman who is also an ex-officio member.
The other members, ex-officio, of the Committee included Secretary, Law and Legislative Department, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Administration of Justice Department, Chairman of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. The Government Pleader of Public Prosecutor nominated by the Haryana Government, Mr Sunil Katyal, Senior Deputy Advocate General has been made a member of the Committee. Two Advocates who have been nominated by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana as members included Mr Jai Vir Yadav and Mr Gurinder Pal Singh. The Secretary, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana is Secretary, ex-officio.

Financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to war widows of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel

Chandigarh, March 22- Haryana Government has decided to give financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to war widows of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel who were killed in action during a declared war.
While stating this here today, Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the scheme has been implemented only for war widows and no other family member would be entitled under this scheme. The State Government has been considering this issue for quite sometime, he added.

Hooda will inaugurate Industrial Workers Residential Complex at IMT, Manesar

Chandigarh, March 22- The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate Industrial Workers Residential Complex at IMT, Manesar, district Gurgaon on March 23. Later, he will also take part in a function organised to mark the release of one Millionth Car of Maruti Suzuki on this day.   Mr.Vilas Rao Deshmukh, Union Industrial and Public Undertaking Minister will also be present on this occasion.
Industrial Workers Residential Complex has been built over an area of five acres at a cost of Rs. 7.6 crore. Such kinds of residential facility was being provided to the industrial workers by the Government for the first time. This four storeyed complex has 48 dormitories and each has the capacity to accommodate ten people. Besides, it also has 192 single room residential set with kitchen and toilet facilities.

Haryana has invited applications for the post of Medical Officers( HCMS-II)

Chandigarh, March 22- Health Department, Haryana has invited applications for the post of Medical Officers( HCMS-II) to fill up reserved vacancies and to recruit Medical Officers with specialist qualification.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Health Department said that the interview for these posts would be held on April 10, 2010 and applications could be submitted to the Director General, Health Services  by   March 31, 2010.
He said that application forms could be obtained from the office of the Director General, Health Services, Panchkula or could also be downloaded from website http://haryanahealth.nic.in. Roll numbers would be displayed on the official website as well as on notice board of the office of Director General, Health Services. No call letter would be sent separately, he added.

Sainik Parivar Bhawans Haryana will organise Free Pre-Recruitment coaching

Chandigarh, March 22-  Sainik Parivar Bhawans Haryana will organise Free Pre-Recruitment coaching  for the wards of Ex-servicemen and serving Defence Personnel at Sainik Pariva Bhawan, ITC, Chhachhrauli, Yamunanagar from April 1 to 25, 2010.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Sainik Pariwar Bhawans said that candidates could report directly to Sainik Pariwar Bhawans, Chhachhrauli. They should also bring proof of their being a ward of Ex-servicemen/seving defence personnel.
Next recruitment rally will be organised at Jhajjar from April 20 to 23 and at Yamunanagar from April 28 to May 5, 2010.

Haryana Government has revised the food norms, cooking cos

Chandigarh, March 22- Haryana Government has revised the food norms, cooking cost and honorarium to cook-cum-helper under National Programme for Mid-day-meal in schools.
While stating this today, the Education Minister, Mrs Geeta Bhukkal said that as per the revised norms, the per day quantity of foodgrains for primary student will be 100 gms and of upper primary, it would be 150 gms per day. Similarly, the quantity of pulses per day for primary student will be 20 gms and for upper primary 30 gms. The quantity of vegetables including leafy would be 50 gms per day for primary student and 75 gms for upper primary. Similarly, the quantity of oil and fat for primary student would be five gms per day and it would be 7.5 gms  per day for student of upper primary. The quantity of salts and condiments will be as per their need.
Mrs Bhukkal said that the Central Government has fixed cooking cost for primary as Rs 2.50 and for upper primary as Rs 3.75 per student per day. It does not include labour and administrative charges. It would include the cost of pulses, vegetables, oil, fat, salt, chilly and fuel. Also, the cooking cost would be raised by 7.5 per cent with effect from April 1, 2010 and April 1, 2011. She said that Self Help Groups would get Rs 1,000 for monthly honorarium of cook-cum-helper. As per the norms fixed by Government of India, one cook would be engaged for upto 25 students and two for students between 26 to 100. For additional upto 100 students, there would be an additional cook-cum-helper.
She said that the State Government has decided that with effect from April 1, 2010, the mid-day-meal to be provided to the students of all the primary and upper primary schools would be given as per the recipes prepared by the Self Help Groups of women constituted by Rural Development and Panchayats Department and Women and Child Development Department. The Self Help Groups would be identified for the purpose by the Committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner. Its members would include Assistant Project Officer of District Rural Development  Agency or Child Development Project Officer and teacher, head teacher of Education Department and Block Development Officer. They would hold meetings at block level to identify the Self Help Groups. Before assigning this task, the Self Help Groups would be imparted training at block level about nutrition in food, maintaining hygiene and records and accounts. The Self Help Groups would procure items to be cooked and ensure that the mid-day-meal is served in time. They would get wheat and rice from Confed and store these within the school. They would also arrange for fuel like cooking gas.
The teacher would give each month's funds to the Self Help Groups inadvance and ensure that students get mid-day-meal regularly. The teacher would also check the quality of food being served to the students.

HUDA has decided to renovate 18-hole Golf Course

Chandigarh, March 22-  Haryana Urban Development Agency (HUDA) has decided to renovate 18-hole Golf Course on turn-key-basis in Sector 3, Panchkula by making suitable alterations/improvements to existing layout of the Golf Course.
While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of HUDA said that expression of interest has been invited from construction agencies/firms to carry out renovation work.
The renovation work to be carried out  included development of six new greens, one kid's putting green, one practice putting green, turf nursery, over 50 new tees,  over 25 new bunkers, automatic irrigation system, modification to driving range and water bodies, etc., he added.
He said that the bidding firm must have a minimum of five years of experience in the golf course construction industry, besides having carried out renovation of atleast one 18-hole golf course or atleast two 9-hole golf courses in the last three  years.
The firm/agencies should submit applications on prescribed documents to the Executive Engineer, HUDA, Division Ist, Panchkula by April 6, 2010.
