Bobby Brown died Or 3rd time Death Joke ?

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 07:19 PM PDT

In the book, much is learned about Brown that you may or may not be interested in. He "scored" withJanet Jackson. He also immediately hit it off with Whitney in a physical way.
"We also had bedroom chemistry." He isn't modest, either. "I've always been known to be a pretty good lover. The word on the street is that I'm well-endowed, if that means anything. Does it, ladies?"
"This is…uh, Bobby Brown…ah, I'm about to go under the knife. So, uh, whatever happens – I know, uh, nothing's guaranteed, so – um, I want to tell my kids I love you. Sisters, my mother, my father, I love y'all dearly. Um…to whomever it may concern, um, this ain't about nothing else, y'know, um, uh, had a heart attack, y'know and um,..Y'know this is, this is really messed up, I don't know what's gonna happen, so, um…Just know I love you all, y'know, and um…Take care yourselves, I love you. All my boys, New Edition, uh, peace, man."

"Um…My little girls, y'all know what to do with life, y'know, if daddy ain't coming home tomorrow, y'know. But hopefully I'll be there soon. Um…y'all just take care of each other, ai'ght? Peace."

Following his sincere missive to his friends, family, and, um, New Edition, Bobby Brown turned his attention to his secrets! The stricken star covered all his bases, from his love for girlfriend Alicia to the extent to which drugs contributed to his condition ("Drugs had nothing to do with this...I've been clean for two and a half years, so don't worry about it!").

Is Bobby Brown Dead?: Rumors about Bobby Brown Death — Seriously, it has been going crazy with rumors that Bobby Brown is dead. Parts seem to be rumors from Twitter, where users reported that Bobby Brown had succumbed to lung cancer at age 41. The speed at which these rumors is just more proof of how quickly the mob mentality took hold when social networks are included.

It's not completely clear how the pair has made so much from a vanity press publication, but Handspike intimated that there are "investors." "It's a joint-venture kind of thing," he said.

But starting soon, Bobby's going to be talking. His press reps are approaching all the shows and made an inquiry to Oprah. The angle is gong to be that this is Brown's way of telling his story, and that there's very little about Whitney — at least not enough for which to sue him.

"He OD's on heroin," Handspike told me. "No one knows that. He had a stroke. They said he had a heart attack but he had a stroke."

And then there are the three deaths. Brown relates that his heart stopped three times and he had to be revived with paddles.

Besides an arrest warrant being issued in August of last year after failing to show up at a Mass. court, Mr. Brown has been largely absent of headlines. His last album, Forever, came out in 1997. His name didn't even get any traffic when Lin Yu Chun's cover of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." Maybe this is the resurgence Bobb-o needs.

Kerri Strug Is very Strong Woman

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 03:00 AM PDT

Kerri Strug
Kerri's passion for gymnastics was sparked when she was very young. She did flips and somersaults from the time she was four years old, following in the footsteps of her older brother and sister. Kerri steadily moved up the gymnastics ladder, but it wasn't until 1990 that she decided to make a tremendous sacrifice for her dream. At 13, Kerri moved away from her home in Tucson, Arizona, leaving behind her family to train with world-famous coach Bela Karolyi in Houston, Texas. It was a difficult move, but it put Kerri squarely on the path to the Olympic Games and to achieving gold.

Kerri Allyson Strug (born November 19, 1977) is an American gymnast from Tucson, Arizona. She was a member of the Magnificent Seven, the gymnastics team that represented the United States at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, and is best remembered for performing the vault despite having seriously injured her ankle. She did a spectacular vault, landing on one foot before collapsing in pain to clinch a gold medal in the women's team competition.

Today Kerri lives and works in Washington, D.C. In her free time Kerri enjoys running marathons, working with charities, traveling the world for special events, and cheering on young athletes as they go after their own dreams.

Somehow Strug gritted her teeth, thinking that the team's gold medals all depended on this final vault (in actuality they didn't, but no one knew that at the time), and got the job done with a solid landing before collapsing in pain onto her hands and knees.
The bear-like Karolyi scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the award ceremony to collect her gold medal and the rousing ovation from the packed house.

Shortly after her feat, Strug participated in the Ice Capades and Disney's World On Ice, then announced her retirement and enrolled in UCLA where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. As a professional, she could not compete in NCAA gymnastics events, so she worked for a time as team manager instead, a behind the scenes role. She later transferred to Stanford University. After all this, she went to another school to train.

Adalius Thomas Leaves The Contract

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 02:52 AM PDT

The New England Patriots on Monday released former Pro Bowl linebacker Adalius Thomas, who joined the team as a high-profile free agent in 2007, but fell into disfavor with coach Bill Belichick last season.

Adalius Donquail Thomas (born July 18, 1977 in Equality, Alabama) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Southern Mississippi.

The Jets have made a flurry of moves this offseason and could be in position to acquire yet another big name - thanks to an assist of sorts from the Patriots.

The linebacker signed a five-year, $35 million deal with the Patriots after seven seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, where he played alongside Ray Lewis. He was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2003 and again in 2006.

Thomas had 14 1/2 sacks in his three seasons in New England. But his lowest total came in 2009, when he had only three sacks.

He was a healthy scratch for the Patriots in two games last season, and was one of four players sent home by Belichick after arriving late for practice during a snowstorm in December.
While the three other players, wide receiver Randy Moss, defensive lineman Derrick Burgess and linebacker Gary Guyton largely remained quiet about the snowstorm incident, Thomas spoke out strongly the following day, saying he was "dumbfounded" and "can't figure out what Bill thinks or knows."

Thomas has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice - as a special teams player following the 2003 season and as a linebacker following the 2006 season. In the Pro Bowl following the 2006 season, Thomas started at outside linebacker for the AFC team (coached by Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick) and returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown in the game.

In 2006, Thomas set career highs with 11.0 sacks and 106 tackles (75 solo) while starting every game on a Baltimore Ravens defense that led the NFL in allowing just 12.6 points per game.
Thomas' 11.0 sacks in 2006 led all Ravens defenders and tied for the fourth highest total among all NFL linebackers. Thomas recorded a sack or shared in a sack in 11 of 16 regular-season games in 2006 and tallied at least one sack seven times in an eight-game span during the season.
In 2005, Thomas started every game and set a Ravens franchise record by recording three defensive touchdowns (two fumble returns and one interception return), while leading the team with nine sacks and totaling 104 tackles (70 solo).

Thomas became the first Raven to record three defensive touchdowns in a season in 2005.
Thomas started all 16 games for the first time in his career in 2004 and responded with then-career highs in tackles (80) and sacks (8.0).

"I can't figure out what Bill thinks or knows,'' Thomas said. "I don't know. I promise you I don't. I'm dumbfounded. I really don't try to figure it out. Whatever I'm told to do, that's what I do.''

Thomas, one of four players Belichick sent home Wednesday for arriving late, said he believes he acted appropriately and "there's nothing to really apologize about.''

Thomas believes the weather gave him - along with Randy Moss, Derrick Burgess, and Gary Guyton, the three other disciplined players - a valid reason for not arriving on time. Thomas got stuck in traffic caused by snow.

Jason Chen Story Update Of Search Warrant

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 02:35 AM PDT

All the details of the raid and the equipment seizures are posted on Gizmodo. Engadget notes that this probably signals that a criminal investigation is underway by the San Mateo police department and the district attorney.

On the other hand, if the district attorney doesn't intend to charge Chen or Gizmodo, then the search may very well be illegal. There's quite a bit of blogospheric debate going on about all this, but it seems pretty clear to me.

Even after one eventful week of the "lost" iPhone 4G, Gizmodo/Apple saga is getting worse. Gizmodo has just posted that there was a Police raid on their editor Jason Chen's house in California. This happened on Friday night when Police entered Jason Chen's house with search warrant. Police seized 4 computers and 2 servers belonging to Jason Chen at a time when Jason was away with his wife. Founder of Gawker, Nick Denton, has tweeted about it saying that it will help them in finding out whether bloggers were considered as journalists or not. It's because journalists are protected by law and such a warrant can't be issues against them.

The warrant, approved by a San Mateo County judge, alleges that the property seized was "used as the means of committing a felony" and "tends to show that a felony has been committed or that a particular person has committed a felony."

I went through a similar case in 2006 . Apple filed suit in December 2004 against 20 unnamed "John Does" who they suspected released information about an unannounced audio hardware product (code-named "Asteroid") and was subsequently granted the right to subpoena my Web site PowerPage.org, and AppleInsider and Think Secret who picked up the story.

In May 2006 Apple lost the case when the courts upheld the rights of online journalists to protect their confidential sources and put them on par with traditional journalists. In January 2007 the court ordered Apple to pay over $700,000 in attorney's fees associated with the case. (Here's the long version, in case you're interested.)

The only thing that still bugs me is that Apple let that prototype out of their sight long enough for Powell to leave it in a bar, and that the whole thing wasn't an Apple PR stunt, as I originally thought. Hard to believe. But you can bet that Jason Chen and Gizmodo are hating CA Penal Code Section 485 right about now.

Tito Ortiz Is Raging A Thunder

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 12:55 AM PDT

It's unclear at this time whether or not Ortiz was able to complete his duties as coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 11 but "Ace" is expected to take his place opposite "The Iceman" in June.

Franklin has been on the sidelines ever since a first round technical knockout loss to Vitor Belfort at last November's UFC 103 event in Dallas. Despite a narrow victory over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 99, the former school teacher went 1-2 in his 2009 fight campaign after losing a close split decision to Dan Henderson to start the year.

Jacob Ortiz (born January 23, 1975), better known as Tito Ortiz, is an American mixed martial artist competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). While with the UFC, he was the Light Heavyweight Champion from April 14, 2000, to September 26, 2003. Ortiz became one of the sport's early-on stars, becoming the biggest pay-per-view draw of 2006 and appearing on the covers of various magazines. Outside the octagon, Ortiz is the CEO of the Punishment Athletics mixed martial arts equipment and clothing line.

Speculation had been mounting regarding the inclusion of Ortiz for the upcoming Canadian event after "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" and wife Jenna Jameson continued to post discouraging tweets via their official Twitter accounts.

It had been heavily rumored that Ortiz was forced out as coach on this season of "The Ultimate Fighter " because of an illness/injury, putting on hold his third meeting with Liddell. However, everyone and their mother swore the trilogy was still going down in Vancouver, Canada.

When word first hit the street regarding Ortiz's status, UFC president Dana White immediately denied the chatter by posting the following on his Twitter, "We are doing [Randy] Couture vs. [Rich] Franklin not Chuck [Liddell]. Nothing happened to Tito. Tito and I are cool."

Ortiz acknowledged in mid-March with SI.com's Josh Gross that he was still meeting Liddell, "unless Chuck gets hurt."

Last year when a video (posted below) surfaced showing the former MMA legend and UFC champ "Iceman" Liddell literally passed out in his chair during an interview on Good Morning Texas, the incident was quickly dismissed by his friend and UFC president Dana White as a case of "too much cold medication" that Liddell had supposedly taken before going on the air.

The rumor surfaced again this year during the taping of this season's Spike TV reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, given new life this time by none other than Liddell's arch-nemesis and opposing coach on this season's series, Ortiz.

Ortiz was then subsequently quoted by John Morgan, MMAJunkie's lead reporter who attended the Season 11 media day and interviewed Ortiz regarding the subject.

"I think [Liddell] had an alcohol problem; maybe his ego got the best of him. He is one of the baddest men on the planet, so no one is going to tell him, 'No.' You can do what you want," Ortiz said.

Ryan Howard Has Signed a Five-year Contract

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 12:31 AM PDT

First baseman Ryan Howard has signed a five-year contract extension with a sixth-year club option with the Phillies that could take him through the 2017 season, the team announced on Monday.

Ryan James Howard (born November 19, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri) is a Major League Baseball first baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies. Howard is 6' 4" and 260 lbs. He bats and throws left-handed.

Howard was the 2006 National League MVP. Howard is the fastest player to reach both the 100 and 200 home run milestones in Major League Baseball history, passing the marks in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Phillies signed 1B Ryan Howard to a five-year contract extension Monday. The deal will pay Howard $20 million in 2012 and 2013 and $25 million in 2014, 2015 and 2016. There is also a club option for 2017 worth $23 million with a $10 million buyout.

Howard is already in the second year of a three-year, $54 million contract with Philadelphia, but that deal pales in comparison with his extension. The slugging first baseman has been paying dividends for owners in Fantasy this year, and he has even cut back his strikeouts in the early going. Howard is a perennial must-start for all Fantasy owners.

This contract has me scratching my head because it seems like the Phillies overpaid to keep Ryan Howard in Philadelphia. First I view Howard as the second best player on the Phillies. Chase Utley is right now the best overall player on the roster and Jayson Werth is a very close third behind Howard. Howard has not made it clear that he really should be the second highest salary in baseball, especially when he isn't that much better overall then Utley or Werth. Utley is a better overall hitter and Werth is a better all around player then Howard. So then when it comes time to re-sign Jayson Werth at the end of this season and Shortstop Jimmy Rollins (a top 5 talent at his position) at the end of next season, how much do you have to pay them to keep them in Philly? Will they be willing to take a "hometown discount" or will they during contract negotiations point to what Howard is making and say "Why cant I make close to what he is getting?" It's a dicey situation the Phillies have put themselves in.

Howard has agreed to a five-year, $125 million extension with the Phillies, Jim Salisbury of Comcast Sportsnet Philadephia reports. The deal includes an option for a sixth year ($10M buyout), so he'll actually collect $135 million if the Phillies decide to let him go in 2017. Howard's new deal includes a limited no-trade clause, but it makes him one of the game's highest-paid players for the next half-decade. He'll turn 31 in November, so there's already some open concern about how his skill set will age as he progresses into his mid-30s.

Missal - The Horizon Reports

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 12:24 AM PDT

Different Definition From Different Sources -

A missal is a liturgical book containing all instructions and texts necessary for the celebration of Mass throughout the year.

The present Roman Missal, now almost universally used in the Catholic Church wherever the Latin Rite prevails, consists essentially of two parts of very unequal length. The smaller of these divisions containing that portion of the liturgy which is said in every Mass, the "Ordo Missae" with the prefaces and the Canon, is placed, probably with a view to the more convenient opening of the book, near the centre of the volume immediately before the proper Mass for Easter Sunday. The remainder of the book is devoted to those portions of the liturgy which vary from day to day according to feast and season. Each Mass consists usually of Introit, Collect, Epistle, Gradual and Alleluia or Tract, Gospel, Offertory, Secret, Communion, and Post-Communion, the passages or prayers corresponding to each of these titles being commonly printed in full. The beginning of the volume to the "Ordo Missae" is devoted to the Masses of the season (Proprium de Tempore) from Advent to the end of Lent, including the Christmas cycle. After the "Ordo Missae" and Canon follow immediately the Masses of the season from Easter to the last Sunday after Pentecost. Then come the proper Masses of the separate festivals (Proprium Sanctorum) for the ecclesiastical year; while these are often printed in full, it may also happen that only a reference is given, indicating that the larger portion of each Mass (sometimes everything except the collect) is to be sought in the Common of Saints (Commune Sanctorum), printed at the conclusion of the Proprium Sanctorum (Proper of Saints).

Etymology: Middle English messel, from Anglo-French & Medieval Latin; Anglo-French missal, messel, from Medieval Latin missale, from neuter of missalis of the mass, from Late Latin missa mass

The printed Missal of the present day, reproducing in substance the manuscript forms of the latter part of the Middle Ages, has resulted from the amalgamation of a number of separate service books. In the early centuries, owing to the lack of competent scribes, the scarcity of writing materials, and various other causes, economy had greatly to be studied in the production of books. The book used by the priest at the altar for the prayers of the Mass usually contained no more than it belonged to him to say. It was known commonly as a "Sacramentary" (Sacramentarium) because all its contents centred round the great act of the consecration of the sacrifice. On the other hand those portions of the service which, like the Introit and the Gradual, the Offertory and the Communion, were rendered by the choir, were inscribed in a separate book, the "Antiphonarium Missae" or "Graduale" (q.v.). So again the passages to be read to the people by the deacons or rectors in the ambo (pulpit) — the Epistle and Gospel, with lessons from the Old Testament on particular occasions

Debtorboards is geared to help people

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 12:19 AM PDT

"Debtorboards is geared to help people use the laws as they are on the books as both a shield and a sword," stated by Mr. Katz. He won $36,000 from his own court case in opposition to collection agencies. Will the debtoboards serve as a night in the shining armor for consumers having debts?
Of course, debt collectors are barely satisfied with the court case trend.

Chief executive of ACA International, Rozanne M. Andersen, stated she was "extremely concerned" about the raise in lawsuits, which she said cost her industry hundreds of millions of dollars a year. She said much of the raise was the effect of vague language in the Fair Debt Collection Act.

debtorboards or debtor boards is a website where people who are in debt can go to discuss and share tips on how to get out of debt, and how to deal with their debtors. Some of the tips include keeping a paper trail and also recording phone calls from the debtors so you have a record of what they say. You should visit a number of get out of debt sites and take a bit of information from each one.

Ms. Andersen said she had little endurance for Web sites that encouraged consumers to frustrate debt collectors. Debtorboards might be a threat to some industries due to lawsuits that may be raised against them.

"We believe those types of Web sites are encouraging people to not take responsibility for just debt," she added.
