Casey Anthony's jail house letters exposed a brutal side of her personality. According to the letters, she used to drug her daughter, Caylee, frequently for her petty selfish activities.

According to Antony's fellow inmates at the Orange county jail further confirmed that she used to drug her daughter in order to go out with her friends. Even on the pretext of Caylee's poor sleeping habits she frequently took the help of drugs to induce quick sleep. This entire bevy of letters showed that Anthony was quite close to her jail inmates and shared the most hideous secrets with them.

While waiting to enter into court, Anthony penned down in a letter: “I know I’ll be an emotional wreck later. Hell, it’s been a full month almost since I’ve seen any of my family. The only one I have pictures of, is my daughter. I wish she was going to be there :( :( :( Great. I’m going to make myself cry, if I’m not careful.”

But according to CBS affiliate WKMG, Antony said , “I was a great mom!,” she wrote. “I love my daughter with everything I have. I would give my life to have her back, even for five minutes.”

Anthony is still to plead guilty for the brutal murder of a sitter who she claimed as a kidnapper. The remains of the toddler were found in December 2008. It was long after 6 months from her missing.

Much shocking was the news that this girl is merely 22 year old and is college student and a neighbor of Woods. Reports say that Woods hooked up with this girl at one of the parties thrown at his peer's home and finally ended up sleeping with her.

Maoists fire at CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, April 7 (IANS) Maoist rebels opened fire at a base camp of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Wednesday night in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, police said. No casualties have been reported.

Maoists fired at least six rounds at Polampalli base camp of the CRPF and the paramilitary troopers retaliated strongly.

“Maoists fired shots from a distance at the base camp and the CRPF troopers returned fire and also lobbed a bomb. There is no casualty to the forces. The rebels were probably testing our preparedness,” said a police officer based at Dornapal, 15 km from the camp.

The officer said that it was not known immediately whether Maoists suffered injuries in the retaliatory firing as there was a total darkness around the base camp.

The Polampalli camp is over 450 km south from state capital Raipur and some 60 km from the area where the rebels had killed 76 policemen Tuesday.

Ahmadinejad criticises new US nuclear policy

Tehran, April 7 (IANS) Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Wednesday criticised the new US nuclear doctrine that excludes the Islamic republic from the list of non-atomic states against which the use of nuclear arms is prohibited.

The 50-page “Nuclear Posture Review” (NPR) released Tuesday, purportedly restricts the US from using nuclear arms against some non-nuclear countries.

The Iranian leader claimed the new US doctrine was adopted under pressure from the Israeli groups.

Ahmadinejad advised his US counterpart not to repeat the “past mistakes” of the previous US governments, Iran’s Press TV reported.

“I advise Obama to be careful. If he tries to follow in the footsteps of (George W.) Bush, the response of the nations will be the same crushing response they gave to Bush,” Ahmadinejad told a gathering in the northwestern city of Orumiyeh.

“We don’t want Obama to suffer the same fate as Bush did. He must watch his behaviours and remarks,” he added.

Reportedly, as per the new doctrine countries that do not comply with non-proliferation treaties would be at risk of a possible nuclear attack.

The US has repeatedly accused Iran of failing to meet its obligations defined in the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT) – an allegation denied by Tehran.

Paradip port handled record traffic in 2009-10

Bhubaneswar, April 7 (IANS) Despite global meltdown and slow export and import business the Paradip port in Orissa handled record traffic of 57.01 million tonnes during 2009-10, an official said here Wednesday.

“It was a growth of 22.84 percent over the previous year’s 46.41 million tonnes,” the port trust chairman K. Raghuramaiah told reporters at a press conference here.

The average growth of all major ports in the country during 2009-2010 was 5.74 percent and the Paradip port has achieved the highest growth rate amongst all the major ports, he said.

The major commodities handled by the port included 16.16 million tonnes of iron ore and 14.82 million tonnes of thermal coal, he said.

Paradip port, located in the district of Jagatsinghpur, some 100 km from here, is one of the major ports in india.
