A new kind of font known as ‘Rupee_Foradian font’ has been created by a Mangalore based company, called Foradian Technologies. This font easily lets you use the latest “Ra” symbol while typing. It can be downloaded free of cost by just Clicking Here. The key just above the tab button, makes the sign ” ` “. Unni Koroth, CEO of Foradian Technologies, says that it was “something of an amusement to us in this era of technological advancement”. The government expects that it would minimum take an year to be commercially viable to all. “We thought of doing something about it”. Foradian further established the ‘grave accent’ symbol , after creating the vector image of the new rupee sign. Foradian technologies created the full version of the font, only after they realized that the trial version, had already been downloaded 1,100 times within the time span of an hour of uploading it. So the version 2.0 was released within 24 hours of the declaration of the new rupee symbol. It came as a surprise to them that the font got popular as quickly as this. Social networking sites have already adopted it as hundreds of people are using it today. |
