 Amitabh Bachchan Amitabh Bachchan will be the latest face of ESPN's Champions League T20 tournament. The channel has signed the Big B to back up the much-awaited T20 tournament this September. In his blog the megastar of Bollywood has narrated the speed with which all the promotional ads & stills were shot. The shortage of time meant that the shooting as well as dubbing had to be completed by the evening of the same day. But the process went on without a glitch as said by the satisfied Sr.Bachchan. The Champions League T20 tournament will be played this year in September in South Africa. Later this year the Big B will return to the small screen & his famous show 'Kaun Bangea Crorepati' which was previously anchored by the King Khan. | ||

After Rani Mukherji and Kajol, being the blind ladies of Bollywood, its time for Deepika to prove her mettle in the blind act. In her upcoming flick, she plays the role of blind girl. In Lafangey Parindey, she has been paired with Neil Nitin Mukesh. Deepika, plays the role of a Ghati girl,Pinky Palkar who is blind. She attributes the naturalness of the character to her maid, from whom she picked up the acute details of the usual Ghati women. Though, the role demanded strenuous physical toil but thanks to her atheletic streak, she didn't have too many problems in this new lifestyle. Deepika closely watched and observed and did an extensive research on the behavior of visually handicapped to get to the tee of the role. She had a tough time to do this role as she was not supposed to wear black glasses or take a stick to add to her blindness. As the director of the movie puts it, her character was supposed to see the practicality of life even with her blindness. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the role of Nandu or "one shot nandlal" who is a blind fold wrestler. Though, Deepika was a bit skeptical about his casting but soon was surprised by his performance. Hope that the hype created is worth a watch! | ||

The Ravi teja, Shriya and Sri Hari starrer will be released on 6th August. Coming from the stable of ‘Kick’ and RR Movie Makers producer’s venkat and suresh, it will have Gopichand Malineni at the helm of direction. It is expected to be an all out ravi teja masala movie with him upto his antics in full blast. Though there are rumors that it may be a kick sequel, things still remain unconfirmed. Great expectations are there from the music of Don Seenu as the music of kick had topped the charts. Music director Mani sharma would be keeping his fingers crossed. Muralitharan is a bowling record holder. Born on 17 April, 1972, Muralitharan began his cricketing career as a medium pace bowler. On the advice of his coach he took up off spinning at the age of fourteen. He took about a 100 wickets in the last two years of his school and was titles as ‘Bata Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year’. The PPC Horrertainment is a division of Percerpt Picture Company and assocition of Glorious Entertainment would be creating the scary movie "8". Actress Shhena Nayar was selected for the movie because the script needed a new face. Wilson Louis, the director tells us that Sheena’s character in the movie is very intense and strong. "Nowadays when trends and cliches no longer work in the industry, I thought picking up horror as my first film would create intrigue and interest not only in the film but also in me" says Sheena. Old Bollywood was a fan of scary movies. Namely Madhumati, Mera Saaya, who Kaun Thi and Bees Saal Baad. In the present era, horror flicks have somehow failed to deliver the spooks to the audience except in a few movies like Raaz and 1920. | ||

Amir Khan also known as the Perfectionist, in the Bollywood Industry. Perhaps that is one of the reason why for the third consecutive year, Amir Khan stands tall at the top in the "Filmfare Power List". The last three films, Amir Khan has directed and acted in are – Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini and the best comedy movie ever made in the history of Indian Cinema, 3 idiots. 3 idiots successfully bagged ` 375 crore, the highest any movie in Bollywood has ever earned so far. Not standing at the first place is the last thing Shahrukh would want to see. But since rival Amir Khan looted that postion, The filmfare folks have provided him with the second position of "The Filmfare Power List" agin for the third time. In 2009, Sharukh did not have much to do except for a small role in Billu Barber. RajKumar Hirani stood third for his two successful Munnabhais and 3 idiots. Oscar winning singer, A.R Rahman, takes the 4th position. Karan Johan stands at the 5th for ‘Wake Up Sid’. Yash Raj films has stooped down to the 6th postion from the 3rd position. This is the company’s first diesel sedan in it’s Indian portfolio. The base model is priced at 10.95 lakh while the top model is 13.75 lakh. Corolla is priced relatively lower than it’s direct competitors, the Chevrolet Cruz and the Skoda Laura. It has a 1.4L D-4D engine which is capable of producing 89bhp of raw power and 19.4kgm torque. It has a six speed manual gearbox which is necessary on Indian roads for better efficiency and it shows with a mileage of 21.43 kmpl according to the ARAI results. The corolla altis diesel also has a subtly different design with the sporty mesh grille gracing it’s front. It is available in a hue of colors ranging from the red to blue to silver to black. The company expects to sell 70,000 units this year with the launch of this model. The other car from the Toyota stable meanwhile, the fortuner , has taken the Indian roads by storm with a huge backlog of advance bookings still pending. | ||

The organizers have given the participants enough time to get prepared and raise their fitness standards and it is for this reason that the registrations have opened six months before the main event. To make the registration process more streamlined, the registrations will now be done in a phased manner. The eighth edition of the prestigious event will begin on 16 Jan 2011. | Gulshan Kumare’s case still continues; Sheikh acquitted Posted: 21 Jul 2010 10:50 PM PDT  Gulshan Kumar Thirteen years back, the founder of the T-Series music label, Gulshan Kumar was shot dead. The case regarding his murder still continues in the courts. Suspect Abdul Qyyuam Sheikh was let go of after enough evidences against him were not found. Gulshan Kumar was killed in a conspiracy. The are chances that Abdul could be involved in the Gulshan Kumar murder conspiracy too. Defense advocate Sudeep Pasbola, said, "The prosecution could not prove the conspiracy charges against Sheikh." Abdul Qyyuam Sheikh might also be involved with gangsters like Abu Salem. It is suspected that Abu Salem had asked his men to get Gulshan murdered. In 2007, Sheikh was sent to his own country. Gulshan Kumar’s murder was a blandly a business rivalry case, as told by police records. |
