| The 53rd Indian Independence Day 2010, Preperations Started Posted: 12 Aug 2010 12:22 PM PDT  Independence Day As 15 August 2010, the Independence Day of India, is nearing, most of us Indians are getting the feeling of Patriotism. The class 1 patriots are waiting for the celebration at the Red Fort. The others are waiting eagerly to witness the celebrations at the Red Fort on the Television. But if one is an Indian to their core, then the feeling must not be hidden very deep inside. Come on folks, as the Independence Day 2010 comes nearer, lets look at the patriots hidden inside us. Or else, even we could have ended up like most of the other countries with mixed races! Lord Mountbatten of Burma, the last English Governor-General in India, on the 3rd June, 1947, declared about the separation of India into two halves – The India, today and Pakistan. This was done according to the provisions laid down by the Indian Independence Act 1947. On the night of 14 August, 1947, India was freed from foreign rule and it became independent. Our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, said so in diary : "At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance….. Muslims, all over the world are observing a fast in the holy month of Ramadan. The strange thing and most unique part is a non-muslim named Eilish Bromley from Bradford has undertaken it this time around. She's doing it to empathize with her muslim friends and truly bond with them by understanding their culture and feelings. She explained that she has innumerable friends who are Asians and as a mark of respect towards their religion and their culture, she has decided to fast along with them this year. Muslims refrain from partaking any alcoholic drinks and food throughout the holy month of Ramadan from Dawn till Dusk. Those who keep the fast wake up in the wee hours of the morning when there is no light and have a small meal referred to as "suhur". Click here Ramzan/Ramadan 2010 the month of fasting is on its beginning, Time Table They have to stop any mundane activities like eating when they are called for prayer at dawn and continue their fast until dusk when the4th call to prayer has ended. This tradition is expected to be held by any muslim who has attained puberty until he/she is physically capable. Eilish claims that this fast which started as a fetish would ultimately lead her on to a better cognizance of self. She's pretty excited and nervous at the same time at the prospect of rising at about 3 in the morning to have her breakfast. She has had experience in fasting before and she's all happy and proud to keep it again for her friends. She thinks it is quite normal and doesn't result in any weight loss whatsoever. It would be particularly harsh for the British Muslims though. They would have to sustain 17 hours without any food intake. The seriously ill, senior citizens and mentally unstable people do not necessarily take part in the fast but the first two classes of people are supposed to do good by feeding the downtrodden. The end of the fast is celebrated as Eid-Ul-Fitr, a day for Muslims to really let go. It also is the 1st day of the next month referred to as "Shawwal". | Blackberry phones asked by the Indian governments to provide them with the communication details Posted: 12 Aug 2010 09:54 AM PDT  BlackBerry INDIA : The Blackberry phones are facing problems with the government. The facts that the data of the blackberry network communication is not available to the government is infuriating the Indian government. By 31 of August, the blackberry phones have been given a deadline to provide access to the government of their calls. The 2008 attacks of Mumbai, in which around 166 people were left dead, may have happened owing to the exclusive blackberry messenger communication which is not not being tapped. The government has given a deadline to Blackberry and if it does not comply with its restrictions, its services would be halted. The Research in Motion (RIM) and international government are in a dispute with each other. On Being asked about the deadline, Blackberry refuses to comment. Their plan of action is still unknown. The central issue is how governments monitor the encrypted traffic from BlackBerry devices. What still lies as a problem, is that how would the government be able to monitor the communication from the Blackberry devices. This first happened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that the Blackberry network was asked to be monitered by their governments. They too have decided to monitor the chats and messages which otherwise could have proved risky to the security of the country. |

The famous tennis player, Leander Paes is all set to step into the the colorful world of Bollywood from his all white world of Tennis. Paes earlier used to be the flag-bearer and a sports icon in India. His role which debuts him in the glamorous industry is a little off-side. He has never been characterized that way before. Well that is another thing that he has never been any character in movies before! The movie has been named as ‘Rajdhani Express‘. The direction has been performed by Ashok Kohli. The role I was talking in the above paragraph is of a common man. | ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ director impressed by Ranbir, Priyanka Posted: 12 Aug 2010 05:22 AM PDT  Anjaanaanjaani 'Anjaana Anjaani' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra is director Siddharth Anand's latest venture and he seems quite excited about his new film. Siddharth talked about his movie, the cast, the whole experience and his future projects in an interview recently. Siddharth confidently says that whoever has seen the film complimented him as his best work so far. He maintains that he had to wait for ten months to get Ranbir's dates and is very happy to have him and Priyanka in the lead roles. He has tried to present a love story in totally different manner which is engaging and entertaining. He also quickly expresses his gratitude towards Aditya Chopra and Sajid Nadiadwala. 'Anjaana Anjaani' is shot in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Siddharth has already shot in many foreign locations for his films like, Salaam Namastey, Ta Ra Rum Pum, and Bachna Ae Haseeno. However, he says that his next project is set in rural India and shall go ahead with it once the current film gets completed. Talking about the cast of the film, the director seems to be completely impressed by Ranbir as well as Priyanka. He credits Ranbir as a natural actor and points out his every film has been different from one another.  Raghuvir Yadav Raghuvir Yadav, the protagonist of Amir Khan’s production,"PEEPLI [Live]" has also realized that Amir is a perfectionist from head to toe. "In Lagaan, I found Amir as a much sorted out personality. When I saw Taare Zameen Par, he looked more mature. I wonder to what extent Amir would evolve as a perfectionist. He will take Bollywood by strom." says an impresses Yadav. The debutant director, Anusha Rizvi, has mainly kept the light upon the farmer suicides, which increased pretty much by last year, and as to the different political parties gaining out of one farmer’s suicidal note. The film further portrays the farmer, played by Raghvir Yadav, to not be able to repay loans and one who is unable to save his small land from being snatched away. Raghuvir would be seen going to the limits to save his livelihood, here it would be his small land. Yadav claims that both his roles, Bhura of Lagaan and Budia of Peepli [Live] have been pretty easy. But Raghuvie has his set of complaints. He complains of the commercialization of the acting skills in the younger generation.  Peepli Live Aamir Khan's home production 'Peepli Live' which is slated for release on August 13th in India had its private screening marked by the presence of several stars including Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji. Aamir held the private screening despite being down with fever and personally attended to the guests who arrived for the event. Good friends Raju Hirani and Juhi Chawla were also present at the occasion. Omkar Das Manikpuri, the lead actor of the movie seemed quite excited about he stars being part of the event. Salman Khan came in with the leading lady of his upcoming film 'Dabangg' Sonakshi Sinha, while Deepika was accompanied by her new boyfriend Siddharth Mallya. The closeness between Deepika and Siddharth revealed that she has moved ahead of the Ranbir Kapoor chapter. 'Peepli Live' is a satire on the social, political and economic scenarios in today's India and revolves around the life of a poor farmer played by Natha who decided to commit suicide to get rid of his woes. Producer Aamir Khan is keen on projecting it as a world movie rather than a conventional commercial flick. With this motive in mind he had been touring different places all over the world and has already presented it at the various film festivals. |
| IIP DATA will be the determining factor for Indian currency value Posted: 12 Aug 2010 02:06 AM PDT  IIP India's Industrial Output (IIP data) reported an expected rise of around 8.4% from a year ahead followed by a slowing growth procedure after a period of 8 months with an increase that will be double digits according to the polls done through Reuters. The stats showed that the Indian currency hit its lowest on Thursday within a period of three weeks. On Thursday the sudden rally that was triggered in dollar overnight caused the losses and weakening of domestic shares along with the damaged sentiments of Asian matches. At 0505 GMT rupee stood at a value of 46.93/94 per dollar. But on Wednesday the value dropped further 0.6 ending at 46.70/71 breaking the record for the biggest fall in a single day since the 19th of July. Naveen Raghuvanshi, Development Credit Bank's group associate vice president in Mumbai stated that the Indian currency did hit a value of 47.04 but the situation seems to be moving back now. He further added that the level of 47 seems good for now but the IIP data that will be available in the second half of the day will render more insight into this. The currency may even go back to 46.90 if the data released is strong Naveen said. |

Neil who recently visited Coorg for the shooting of his film 'Saat Khoon Maff' opposite Priyanka Chopra, wherein Neil plays one of the seven husbands the lady has, gave out lots about his chemistry with Deepika Padukone in Lafangey Parindey. Apparently Neil had to act out a love making scene with Priyanka, but because of the lack of time and interaction, the actor faced great difficulty giving it his best shot. But with a professional like Priyanka Chopra and a mentor director like Vishal Bhardwaj, Neil did make it through. When the actor was asked if his panic was a result of his camera shyness, the actor disagreed saying that he just landed up in Coorg and had to immediately put up the act without any prior interactions with the actress.  Sunidhi Chauhan Sunidhi Chauhan husband Bobby Khan and the singer herself have been living on separate terms following the first year of their marriage. Bobby Khan who is a music video director and a choreographer connected well with the hit singer while they were working on the popular song, "Pehla Nasha". Sunidhi who has over 2000 songs under her creditability and is a very famous bollywood play back singer eloped with the choreographer at a tender age of 18.
