 Miss World 2010 winner is Alexandria Mills Miss World 2010, the 60th Miss World pageant was held on October 30, 2010 in Sanya, People’s Republic of China after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar crowned her successor Alexandria Mills from United States as Miss World 2010. The 1st runner up is Emma Wareus from Botswana, 2nd runner up is Adriana Vasini from Venezuela. Alexandria is the first American to win Miss World since Gina Tolleson in 1990, Prior to participating in Miss World, 18-year-old Mills graduated high school and would like to become a teacher. Boy, do I feel small. I was all excited yesterday when my three blogs, combined, reached 3 million page views. I am not even close to the world's 'most widely read blogger' Xu Jinglei, Chinese actress-turned-director. Pretty Xu logged 100 million page views within 600 days. The 33-year old star has a reputation for high intellect and integrity instead of kiss-and-tell stories. She writes about her work and day-to-day life…as an actress-turned-director. She got her 100 millionth hit on July 12th according to www.sina.com.cn Xu invited 20 fans to join her for a party to celebrate. I celebrated my 3,000,000th with 5 friends and my wife last night. Good news for me, however, I still have about 150 days to go to reach 600 days. Let's see….97 million divided by 150 days = 650,000/day. Gosh, I can do that. I wonder…how many posts she has written and does she qualified to be on the 100 most prolific blogger's list.

The DSC 2008 merit list has finally been announced and published to the great relief of the candidates who have been eagerly waiting for the same since past two years. The merit list has been announced by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The candidates can check their names in the DSC 2008 merit list through the link given below. http://www.stuap.org/DSC2008_STATE/ Along with the DSC 2008 merit list, the schedule for appointment of 30,830 Secondary Grade Teachers, selected under DSC has also been published. As many as 12,252 assistant teachers, selected from the 2008 DSC Assistant Grade have been appointed by the Andhra Pradesh government, as of now. The recruitment of other 1,140 School Assistants will be done within coming ten days. The candidates who have been selected will be asked to produce certificates for verification on November 2. And the issuing of appointment letters will also be done on the same day. | ||

Ashok Chavan, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra has offered to resign from the post, if the explanations given by him to the Congress National President, Sonia Gandhi does not suffice the need. The clarifications are regarding his government's alleged involvement in the Adarsh Society Housing Scheme.
The reports claim that Chavan cleared papers for the Housing Scheme while he was a Revenue Minister. He said, “I was not the Chief Minister of Maharashtra when the request for the land came up. I have no role in the allotment. I have not abused my position. These are politically motivated allegations." Chavan met the Congress President today in the nation's capital city Delhi. And now the complete responsibility lies in the hands of the party President. Chavan informed that all the facts and figures regarding the scam have been submitted to Gandhi, as per her demand. The Maharashtra CM has also said that the Union Defence Ministry's involvement regarding the matter will also be welcomed. According to the sources, the decision by the Congress President will be taken and announced anytime within next ten days. | ||

Many of the biggest brands in China still do NOT have websites that are bilingual. Beijing wants to change that. The 70% or so Beijing business service company websites that don't have English editions will start having them developed. Company philosophies and slogans will be translated to coincide with the one year countdown to the 2008 Olympic Games…which start on August 8th. Later, other parts of China will get the service. Suggestions on translations of brands will be collected from foreign and Chinese customers as well as brand experts to help make final evaluations. China, Beijing in particular, will really start buzzing in about two days…when the 2008 Games come to within one year of happening. What difference will the Games make to your life?
