The 3rd  match of the IPL 2009 is between Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab at  Newlands, Cape Town , on Apr 19, 2009 (12:30 local, 10:30 GMT)

Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab were semi-finalists in the inaugural season of the IPL but both stumbled at the penultimate hurdle. This time, Delhi dare devils have emerged pre-tournament favourites .

Cancer Causing Lipstick Discovered

A cancer-causing dye was detected in six kinds of lipstick on sale at the biggest wholesale market in China's Guangzhou.

The dye is called Sudan and is known to cause cancer in kissing mice and rabbits.

Heng Fang Cosmetics and Shilulan Cosmetic Co. made lipstick with the dye.

Some derivatives of Sudan are authorized for use in lubricants or to give color to gasoline, wax, shoes and floorboard.lipstick.jpg

Of course, if you were to wear your red shoes on your lips then you would get the same result.

China’s Super Girl – Ji Minjia – Wows L.A.

China's Super Girl, Ji Minjia, has won rave reviews from local media in Los Angeles when performing at the Asian-American Food Expo.

Ji Minjia is considered a role model for many Chinese aspiring singers after she participated in the 2005 Chinese "Super Girl," competition, China's version of "American Idol."

While in LA the singer hopes to land a producer for her new album.

She has already worked with composer Daniel Walker of L.A. to produce the title song for a Japanese anime series "Galaxy Railways."

 

If she succeeds, and why shouldn't she, Ji Minjia may become a role model for all aspiring singers…Chinese, American, Japanese or otherwise.

The Japanese have to do something with their money – $108,000 per family unit in savings.

One thing they do is travel.  The hottest travel destination is Hawaii. They’d actually like to buy HI but that would only leave 49 stars on the flag unless America were to let Puerto Rico in…but then, I am off topic.

My ex-mother-in-law wouldn’t even consider trying it because she didn’t want to get yelled at when she missed a shot.) Union and World Gateball Union will visit the PI to see if they can find a host.

In other words – Japan – the young and the old have money and they want to spend it by going somewhere – somewhere close and the PI is happy to accomodate.

The Rajastan Police is recruiting for 6564 Constables.The  Closing date for submission of application is 12/11/2010. Read the advertisement of the Rajasthan Police Recruitment 2010 and Application Form.

The other posts are  49 for operator, 575 posts for constable driver, 25 positions for horse rider and 87 posts for constable band.

Selection procedure is a   Written test, physical measurement, proficient Test, physical efficiency test and Medical Test. Written test date and venue will be sent to candidates by post.

Application fee is  Rs. 200 for General and OBC candidates  (Rs. 150 for SC/ST).

Fee should be submitted through IPO. Cash, Bank Draft/ DD, cheque or any other mode will not be accepted.

Aditya Thackeray not against Rohinton Mistry’s – ‘Such a Long Journey’

Aditya Thackeray says the main issue is not the book, 'Such a Long Journey', it is all about being it a part of Mumbai University's syllabus.

Aditya, Shiv Sena Chief, Bal Thackeray's grandson, spoke his heart out on Yuva Sena's attack on the booker nominated novel. Yuva Sena is a Shiv Sena wing that is lead by Aditya, himself.

He said, “We have no issues with the book being available in the market but it is being forced upon us. That is not acceptable. Criticism of policy is fine and acceptable. But here we have a book that is a part of our syllabus, which makes it impossible for us to avoid."

'Such a Long Journey' is written by Indian- born Canadian writer in the year 1991. The novel, in a huge way focuses on the India's political commotion during Indira Gandhi's rule.

Aditya says that the book contains many disheartening things such as use of abusive language regarding certain things that the people out there relate to and that is the reason Yuva Sena were against the book being used as a study material.
