Konijeti Rosaiah born 4 July 1933 is a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.He belongs to the Indian National Congress and held various ministerial posts over the years. He is known, especially, for his administration of the state finances as Finance Minister. He is one of the senior-most Congress leaders in Andhra Pradesh.

Rosaiah said reporters here that he would submit his resignation to state Governor ESL Narasimhan.Rosaiah said his age makes it tough for him to continue in office. He also said he has faced problems with coordinating the party. Since Rosaiah was promoted from Finance to Chief Minister

Kiran Kumar Reddy as the Speaker of the 13th Legislative Assembly with Telugu Desam dropping its proposal to field a candidate on Wednesday.

Six nominations were filed on behalf of Mr. Reddy, a four-time Congress MLA, for the post of the Speaker. Pro Tem Speaker J.C. Diwakar Reddy will make a formal announcement of his election as the Speaker when the House assembles at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday.

Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy, Praja Rajyam floor leader K. Chiranjeevi and MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, besides two independents Kuna Srisailam Goud and Rajeswar Reddy, filed nominations on behalf of Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Bihar has remained one of the poorest states in India for far too long to remember. The fact is quite strange, as when you look around, you see several IAS, IIT toppers coming out of Bihar each year. The inference is quite straight – Bihar does have the right amount of talent, but it doesn't provide enough facilities to its people to stay back and work in the state.

The Election Commission has announced the elections to the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly in six phases — on October 21, 24, 28, November 1, 9 and 20. Votes will be counted on November 24.

Over 5,50,88,402 electors were eligible to exercise their franchise through 56,943 polling stations.

According to recently conducted CNN IBN Exit poll , JDU-BJP is expected to win 185-201 bihar assembly seats. While RJD and LJP alliance is expected to win 22-32 vidhan sabha seats . While the Congress party which decided to contest Bihar elections on its own for the first time , is expected to win only 9 – 19 vidhan sabha seats.
