Sara Khan, Ali Merchant's 'Bigg Boss 4' wedding: Real or TRP gimmick? The "Bigg Boss" house turned into a beautiful wedding venue as TV actors Sara Khan and Ali Merchant tied the knot on the reality show Wednesday night. But doubts over its authenticity linger.

The couple, who had been dating for the past three years, was pronounced husband and wife in a simple Muslim wedding ceremony on the reality show.

However, rumours are abuzz that the two are already married. In an interview to a news channel, the bride's parents revealed that Sara and Ali had married in 2008.

"Both Sara and Ali already got married two years ago Nov 10. Ali's parents had asked us to stay mum about it as their career was on stake," Sara's mother told Aaj Tak news channel.

"We were not invited for the wedding," Sara's father added.

Previous episodes of "Bigg Boss", aired on Colors, had shown Sara tearing pictures of Ali, saying the relationship was going through a turbulent phase.

So was all this just an elaborate gimmick for television ratings?

Reports say Ali and Sara have been paid around Rs.50 lakh for their 'television wedding'.

True or not, the ceremony was a colourful affair.

While Sara wore a red and green wedding outfit with kundan embroidery, Ali wore a sherwani embellished with gold threads. The outfits were designed by Vikram Phadnis.

The mandap, where ceremony took place, was decorated with motiyaa (Jasmine flowers).

All the "Bigg Boss" inmates were decked up in traditional outfits. While Shweta Tiwari, Dolly Bindra, Veena Malik and Aanchal Kumar dazzled in sarees, Ashmit Patel, Hrishant Goswami, Manoj Tiwari and Khali donned traditional kurta pyjamas.

Also present were Ali's parents Ashik Abbas Merchant and Salma, and Sara's uncle Irshad Hussain Khan.

"I am very happy. I never expected that their wedding will be so grand. They are lucky to get this opportunity," said Irshad.

"Sara's parents couldn't make it to the marriage as her paternal grandmother expired. This had to be done in 'Bigg Boss' house, so they didn't inform her about the demise," he added.

Katy Perry wants Rihanna to get marriedPop singer Katy Perry, who got married to comedian Russell Brand last month in India, now wants her best friend R&B singer Rihanna to walk down the aisle.

"Katy thinks I should get married now, but she needs to calm down on that one. I mean, one day, but not just yet -- we're having too much fun," stuff.co.nz quoted Rihanna as telling a magazine.

The Barbados-born pop star has been dating baseball player Matt Kemp, 26, since January and he had recently accompanied Rihanna on a trip to London.

And 22-year-old crooner admits that Kemp is her biggest critic.

"He's my number one critic. I played him my new album 'Loud' when it was done and in the most part he liked it, but we did argue about it too. He likes the ballads," she said.

Hrithik Roshan binged on junk food for 'Guzaarish'

Hrithik Roshan binged on junk food for 'Guzaarish'Hrithik Roshan, known as a hot bod of Indian showbiz for whom staying away from junk food is a way of life, bent his rules for "Guzaarish". He also performed what he calls his career's toughest dance sequence for the love story.

"I didn't workout for six-seven months. After 15 years, I found out the taste of batata vada and samosas. I binged like anything," Hrithik told IANS in an interview.

"I had the liberty to have all the fried stuff because I had to look fat in some parts of the film. But when I was on this toxic programme, health took a very bad shape."

All that hogging had a negative impact on his medical reports.

"For 15 years, I lived such a healthy life with a proper diet and workout. Then suddenly such a major shift, so my medical reports had gone crazy and the doctors were forcing me to stop it. But I enjoyed it because it was an excuse to eat whatever I wanted to," added the 36-year-old actor.

In "Guzaarish", directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Hrithik plays a magician who becomes paraplegic when a trick goes wrong. The film that will also see Aishwarya Rai as a nurse is slated for a Nov 19 release.

This is the first time Hrithik teamed up with Bhansali, known as a short-tempered director, and said there was no shouting or yelling on the set.

"It was fabulous working with Sanjay. I've never had such an experience. In the beginning, people told me that he is slightly mad, he screams, but once I started working with him, it was a different experience.

"May be our equation worked because of the kind of actor I am and the kind of person he is. But there was not even one day that anybody had to be upset or anybody had to raise his or her voice. In fact, people from the crew were surprised that for the first time there is calm and peace on the sets," he added.

Hrithik, known as Bollywood's best dancer who mesmerised his fans with his exotic moves in songs like "Ek pal ka jeena", "Main aisa kyun hoon" and "Idhar chala main udhar chala", says he had to work the hardest for a dance sequence in "Guzaarish".

"There is a dance sequence for which I had to work the hardest in my life. Never worked so hard. For one month I trained for it. It's not a long piece of dance, but the kind of dance it is, it's very tough."

Choreographer Ashley Lobo designed the moves.

"Ashley told me to take a three-time spin and then stand back straight. If you're not used to dance, you can take four-five months to learn it, but I just had one month. All the steps are mostly jazz, ballet kinds. It's a lot about the form, the stance, the spins - it's the toughest thing I've tried," said Hrithik.

"None of my songs, until now, have spins because that's something I'm really bad at. If it's a spin, it's a half spin. This was the first time I tried a full one. It was also difficult because the entire song is with a ball in the hand. I'm playing with the ball and I'm also dancing," he added.

Freida Pinto carries her life in suitcases

Freida Pinto carries her life in suitcasesMumbai-born actress Freida Pinto, who shot to fame after starring in the Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire", says she doesn't have a permanent address and has been living out of three suitcases for the past two years.

"I'd like to say I live somewhere, but right now I'm all over the world with my three suitcases that I've been carrying with me for two years. I just keep changing the clothes in the bags," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

"Literally, I have no fixed address. I call Bombay my home, but I moved to London last year when I was doing the Woody Allen film and I loved that as my second home. I love New York as well."

Despite her lack of a permanent home, the 26-year-old would hate to return to her life as a struggling actress and admits she was close to quitting the profession before she got her big break.

"You always dream of something magical happening, and when it happens to you, it's almost difficult to accept that it actually happened.

"Even though I was lucky, I had a lot of struggles before that. I said I was going to give up everything at age 25 and get into event management because nothing was going for me. I used to have a lot of nervous breakdowns."

She is dating her "Slumdog Millionaire" co-star Dev Patel.

KBC loser wants to make a movie with Amitabh Bachchan

KBC loser wants to make a movie with Amitabh BachchanPrashant Batar was nobody until he won a whopping Rs.1 crore (Rs.10 million) on Kaun Banega Crorepati 2010 - and then lost it. Neverthless, he is rejoicing his overnight celebrity status and hopes to make a film on aliens with the game show host, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, someday.

"So what if I lost? Wherever I am going people are hugging me. They want to shake hands with me and want to take pictures with me! I feel that agar haarne se aisi popularity mil rahi hai toh jeetne pe kya hota (If I have become so popular after losing the show, I wonder what would have happened if I would have won)," Batar told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

The 32-year-old, originally from Meerut, became the first contestant to reach the Rs.1 crore mark on the ongoing fourth season of KBC on Sony. But in an attempt to push his luck too far to win the mega jackpot of Rs.5 crore (Rs.50 million), Batar lost and went back home with only Rs.3.2 lakh (Rs.320,000) on Tuesday's episode.

However, he is not mourning.

"I have taken the loss very positively. After all I went there to play a game. If nobody takes a chance to win Rs.5 crore, how will they ever win the amount? Victory and failure is all part of the game. My heart said I must not quit and so I played," he said.

Batar, who had dreamt of going on a romantic holiday with actress Deepika Padukone to Antarctica and wished to buy a BMW for his parents after winning Rs.5 crore, says he is quite content after meeting Big B.

"I had a lovely interaction with Mr. Bachchan. His aura and presence is so positive…it just felt great to be sitting in front of such a big personality. It was truly a dream come true."

Son of a former joint commissioner in Meerut, Batar has been staying in Mumbai for the past six years and trying to carve a niche for himself in showbiz. He claims to have featured in a few music videos and in bit roles in regional films, but now he hopes to write a script for Amitabh.

"I have a script in mind for Mr.Bachchan. It is about a fictitious attack of aliens in Mumbai. But I would not like to comment on it much. I will talk about it once I finish writing the script. I only hope that Mr.Bachchan remembers me always," said Batar.

Other than filmmaking, Batar also wants to enter a dance reality show to learn popular moves, and feels his newly acquired popularity through KBC will open many doors for him.

Meanwhile, Batar, who feels ticklish at the mention of Deepika, is still on the lookout for a girl who creates some "gudgudi" (tickle) in his heart.
