2400 year old soup has been discovered in Xian China A  container containing bones and soup residue was discovered in Xian China.   No, it wasn’t a paper box carry out contain, it was made of bronze.

The discovery was made during an extension to the airport in Xian which is in northwest China.

The discovery is the first of its kind in China and with such a long history, that’s saying a lot.   Chinese archeologists believe that the soup has a foot book or vertebra and rib of a small sheep or chicken.

“The soup appears turbid, with green bronze scraps floating on the surface, and the bones partially tinged with green color.”

Along with the bronze vessel containing the soup was another vessel that has an odorless liquid believed to be alcohol.   Both vessels were well sealed and buried in proper conditions to preserve them in their current state.

Chinese archeologists date the items from the Warring States Period of Chinese history (475-221 BC).   Xian is was the first capital of a united China during the rule of Emperor Qin Shihuang and the location of the famous Terracotta warriors unearthed in 1974.

Save Tigers Save India, 12-hour Tiger Conservation campaign raises Rs 4.86 cr

India's national animal "TIGER". India was known as Land of Tiger, as the most prominent place for the Indian tigers were from Bengal (In Eastern India),

On 12/12/2010 NDTV India had conducted a Tiger Telethon and raised Rs. 4.8 crore for the project. An amazing work supported by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

Why just Tiger, well if you fall short of information about your beloved country, Bengal Tiger is the national animal of India, there was a great reason for saving tigers, you see if there were no Tigers then all kids would need remember new animal as a national animal. And also show them a picture of Tiger
and tell them there was a Tiger…

A pvt – public partnership has started the campign to save tigers and hits the road with a mis-informed number of 1411 remaining tiger, a number that govt is now declining, it seems the political man is famous for back footing from his own words, as always great India Audience slept and clapped while the poachers did their cold blodded work – without any real resistance,

What could have been done, was a national question then, I am sure everyone should have answered this simple problem, all I understand is if people would have stopped buying Tiger skins, bones and al its products killing would have been stopped.

December 13, 2010: Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of Bollywood leaves no stone unturned in whatever project he lends his hands to. Thus, it was on Sunday, the 12th of December that Big B was spotted in front of the TV cameras sitting right in the heart of the Pench Tiger Reserve in MP along with the two of television's most popular figures – Dr Pranoy Roy and Vikram Chandra.

The 'Save our Tiger Telethon' was an effort to bring about awareness to save our tigers from extinction and facing a total wipe out from our planet. According to official reports, there are only about 3, 200 tigers left in the wild all over the world and India which was considered to be the ideal home of the wild beast has now only a few left in its wild life count of the species.

Thus, the effort to bring about awareness was initiated by the joint effo rt of NDTV and the mobile service provider Aircel, which was indeed a great success. The live show began at 11AM and it had contributions from various sources.

Many political figures also came in to lend their support. There were discussions and a strategic plan was said to be soon laid out in this project with top politicians to meet in the next three months to bring about a great change in the changing environmental patterns, thereby making an effort to promote
more greenery and forests to enable the tiger to multiply in its natural habitat.

With various contributions made, an astounding total of Rs. 4, 86, 68,932 was collected during the twelve-hour live program. Many top artists from the musical world came in to lend their support too and there were live singing on the spot shows aired, which added a lot of zing to the show for a great
cause. The most impressive part was the participation of many school children and forest officers who came forward to spread awareness about the importance of tigers in our existence in this planet.

There are 34 RRT'S or Rapid Response Tea ms to be set up with the money collected to help the project tiger to become fruitful in the near future!

China Begins Filling Strategic Oil Reserves

Posted: 13 Dec 2010 02:24 AM PST

Beijing has taken another page from the US. China now has 16 massive oil tanks in Zhenhai on the coast in the province of Zhejiang, south of Shanghai.

The tanks are being filled with domestically produced oil and make up the first of four planned sites which will be completed in 2008.

When all is said and done China hopes to have 100 million barrels of petro – or the equal of almost a month of national consumption.

It seems to me to be a good idea to have a reserve and it is to China’s credit to have an economy that is strong and mature enough to do this.
