The Bollywood film industry, this year got to see many women who were bold enough to shed cloths in front of the camera. Actress Aruna shields from UK had stripped for a Bollywood movie. Laxmi Menon who posed for the upcoming calendar Pirrelli, became the first Indian model to pose topless.
Similarly the bold Mallika Sherawat posted her naked photograph on Twitter in which her assets were covered by her hair. Moreover, Sherlyn Chopra was banned from Twitter for her posting nude photographs. However, one can find many girls outside India posing nude for a magazine covers. Catherine Zeta Jones had posed nude for Allure magazine, while Kim Kardashian too ventured nude for Haper's Bazaar. One of the sexiest woman of the world Katy Perry had tossed her top for Esquire and Kelly Brook went naked many times in the month of August. Kelly had called that month as her 'naked month'. |

The students in London protesting for the fees hike, had attacked Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who were inside a car. The demonstration by the students had resulted in to violence and had attacked the car with paint bombs and has also shattered the rear window of the limousine.
The Royal couple was on their way to an engagement ceremony, when they were attacked by an angry mob of students involved in the fees hike demonstrations. The incident has raised a question on the royal security and the Metropolitan Police was later questioned about their operations to clear up the mess created by the demonstrators on the streets. The car was attacked when it was passing through the Regent Street by some 20 demonstrators violently threw paint, boots and bottles on the car. Charles and Camilla seemed shocked during the incident but were fortunately not harmed. Sources said that, later Camilla joked about the incident saying, “First time for everything”, when the couple was leaving the Royal Variety Performance. |

After the incident of Ambassador Meera Shankar being patted down at the Jackson airport, the US on Thursday reached out to the ambassador regretting the incident. The US Secretary of state Hillary Clinton said, "We obviously are concerned about it."
"The US department of state has reached out to the ambassador and has regretted what all happened," Indian embassy spokesperson Virender Paul said. The Indian Ambassador was singled out of the security line for the reason that she was wearing a sari and that such an outfit was unusual in the country. Speaking about the review on Thursday, Clinton did not reveal much about the matter but had said that the matter will be looked in to and the foreign minister will also be contacted regarding reviewing the policies. The Indian external affairs minister S M Krishna had also expressed that such an incident is not acceptable. Sources have said that, not all passengers are subject to pat downs, only those passengers who set off the metal alarm have to go through the screening. And Shankar had passed through the metal frame without setting off the alarm. |

Yao Ming took his Houston Rocket's conditioning coach with him to Beijing to train for training for the Chinese national team. The Chinese team will play in the upcoming Stankovic Continental Champions Cup. All the training and playing, however, is just warm up for the Beijing 2000 Summer Olympic Games….Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian are expected to be key components…if, China can find a team 'acceptable' for Yi to train with. In the meantime, China has Yao out front running and leading the charge….

PetroChina became the world's largest company in market value…zooming far ahead of number two – Exxon Mobil. In the country's largest initial public offering (IPO) shares opened at Y48.6 far ahead of analyst predictions of Y35. The value closed at Y43.96. PetroChina has 157.9 billion shares and 86% have been sold making the company's total market capitalization to just over $1 trillion. That's a 'T' and a $ sign. Exxon is less than half that in value at $488 billion.
PetroChina will fund oil and gas exploration and develop internationally to ensure a more stable domestic supply. PetroChina's market value is about 21% of the total market value. Next big IPO will be China Mobile…already worth $391 billlion. Mobile phones and oil…the real biggies in China. Do you own stock?
