Having already created a stir across the festival circuit, the biopic has also bagged three nominations at the forthcoming 68th Annual Golden Globes awards including Best Score for Indian music maestro A.R. Rahman, best actor (Drama) and best screenplay.

"We are delighted with the response and buzz that '127 Hours' is garnering across the world. It is a very special film and the awards are a testimony to its brilliance. Produced, co-written and directed by Boyle, the movie stars James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who became trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah, for more than five days in 2003.

Ralston, however, battled his demons to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, descend a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued.

Lindsay Lohan to settle in secret location after rehabLondon, Dec 31 (IANS) Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan will move to a secret location with her mother and siblings soon after being released from rehab.

"Lindsay will be staying at a secret location starting January 4, with her family, mother and siblings. She also has the support of me and her other friends. As long as she doesn't fail any tests - and everyone is going to make sure she doesn't - she'll be put on summary unsupervised probation on February 25," a friend of Lohan was quoted as saying by contactmusic.com.

The actress' father, Michael Lohan, too is happy that she isn't returning to her west Hollywood home.

"Being away from her old so-called friends and haunts in Hollywood would only behoove Lindsay as long as when she gets to New York, she stays away from the old haunts and friends, as well," said Michael.

The 24-year-old star was told to enter rehab after breaching the conditions of probation set for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

"My actual birthday was in December and I turned 30! It was a big one - the next chapter of my life. I'm a Sagittarius. But, because I was working so much on the movie, I postponed my birthday party, so New Year's Eve is my big 30th birthday party," she said.

Rather than be worried about turning 30, the pop star insists she is pleased to leave her 20s behind her because she now knows so much about life going into a new decade.

"Being 30 is better than being 20, I'll tell you that. The lessons I've learned and how I've grown is incredible," she said.

Tobey Maguire's supportive message to 'Spider-Man' replacementLondon, Dec 31 (IANS) Tobey Maguire has sent a supportive message to his "Spider-Man" replacement Andrew Garfield.

The British actor, who is taking on the titular role and his alter ego Peter Parker in the next movie in the franchise, was relieved to get the backing of the American star, who played the character in the last three films in the series, reports contactmusic.com.

Garfield said: "Tobey sent me a lovely message through a mutual friend. He gave me his support, and it meant a great deal, of course, because part of the reason I love and have continued to love this character was because of his portrayal."

"To step into those shoes is no mean feat. It was generous of him to reach out and say something, so I'm thankful," he added.

Garfield is enjoying filming the movie, being shot in 3-D, alongside Emma Stone but admits it is harder work than he expected.

"It's wonderful in theory, isn't it? You kind of go, 'Well, this is going to be great.' But then, of course, in practice, it's obviously a great deal of hard work and a great deal of pressure, but wonderful. It's incredible," he said.

Marc Webb is directing the movie, which is scheduled for release in 2012.
