Yuvraj Singh is in the list of top ten sporting egos of recent times that was conducted by an English paper in Great Britain. The other cricketer in the list is Kevin Pietersen.

Yuvraj was panned for his on and off the field behaviour which included the last season's drama when he was appointed the 12th man and was called the water boy by the crowd. Yuvraj had lost his cool and hit back at the crowd.

Posted: 03 Jan 2011 01:01 AM PST

After the CBI closed the murder case of the teenager Aarushi Talwar, the Special CBI court in Ghaziabad, raised questions on the investigation agency on it closure of the case. The court questioned the closure report which was filed on 29th December.

The closure report was filed before a remand magistrate and not in the regular Ghaziabad court, where the case was usually heard. CBI counsel R K Saini was scolded by the Special Judicial Magistrate (CBI) Preeti Singh on Monday, when the report was submitted. She had questioned why the CBI did not approach the concerned court first.

“What was the hurry? Where are the documents (annexures) of the closure report?” the magistrate asked Saini during the hearing. Saini replied, “Our process is that we file the closure report when a decision in this regard is taken.”

Saini also explained that, the CBI had submitted the closure as it wanted to clear all the backlogs. Court then ordered to submit all the annexures along with the report.

Baseball Flies Out of Olympics

Posted: 02 Jan 2011 08:32 PM PST

The Olympics will not have baseball after next year's Games.

Nobody in the U.S. will be sad to not see their team get beat. Can I say that?

Just think, baseball was born in America.

Teams like the Yankees have a bigger payroll than all of the teams combined in Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

And the Yankees still get beat.

Hard work and skill still count for something.

Japan beat Taiwan to get a lock on a spot in the Olympics baseball competiton next year.

Japan won for the third straight time.

They beat Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan in the Asian Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Another qualifying tournment will be played next March to give Taiwan and Korea another chance.

The Philippine team has no chance.

China Wants Direct Talks with OPEC

Posted: 02 Jan 2011 12:31 PM PST

China wants to have direct talks with OPEC to ensure a stable oil supply and an equitable share of the oil market.

I wonder…who does China talk to now when it deals with OPEC? Does China buy its oil secondhand?

At any rate, it makes sense to me to have direct neogtiations. Why would anyone want a middle man if they could do things themselves?

China's assistant minister of foreign affairs in is Dubai now, following up on aOPEC.jpg pledge made last year when the OPEC president visited China last year and the two sides discussed 'instituionalizing' a dialogue.

Well, it seems they have started talking?

Chances are a whole lot of countries are going to get antsy while this dialogue is happening? Lots of what ifs….

What do you think?
