Imran Tahir can play for South African cricket

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 02:49 AM PST

Pakistan born South African spinner, Imran Tahir has been declared eligible to play for South Africa. This will mean that he may be selected in the South African side for the ODIs against India.

Tahir obtained his citizenship through naturalisation. He has also not played for Pakistan for four years now and this will mean that the ICC also recognises that he is eligible to feature for South Africa.

Tahir, who has scalped 535 first-class wickets at 25.09 from 127 matches in his career was a relieved man after the controversy surrounding his inclusion in the South African team in the series against England one year back.

He has been married to a South African woman and that has allowed him to become the citizen of the country.

South Africa may want to play Tahir in the ODIs against India given Paul Harris’ poor record.

Posted: 31 Dec 2010 08:16 PM PST

Christmas season is coming to Shanghai….so they hope.

I understand that most retailers make as much from Thanksgiving to Christmas as they do the rest of the year.

Shanghai will host the 2010 World Expo.

China's biggest city is expecting 70 million visitors who in turn will spend about 145 billion yuan, ($19.1 billion) = half the city's retail sales in 2006.

Domestic tourists will make up 95% of the total number of

visitors and spend around 1,850 yuan each.2010.world.expo.shanghai.jpg

Foreign vistors will spend about 6,361 yuan each.

The Expo will run from May 1st – October 31st, 2010. 200 countries will participate making it the largest ever.

Hmm…2010. I wonder if I will still be alive.

Will you attend the 2010 World Expo?

So, who does advertising better…the U.S. or China?

You decide between these two great advertising campaigns.

One is a Nationwide ad in Columbus, Ohio.

Divorce & Premarital Sex – Wisdom from the Good Book

Posted: 31 Dec 2010 08:12 AM PST

Indeed it is inevitable that sometimes people must get divorced.

Still, from the beginning it was not supposed to be that way.

Premarital sex? – No. Shouldn't happen. Sex is reserved for marriage.

A man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh – Gen 2:24.

When a couple who has become married divorces, they do not just separate, they are ripped apart.

Sex before marriage is a physical and psychological union of the two. Should that relationship not continue, the two must rip themselves apart from one another leaving physical, psychological and spiritual scars.

Sex is reserved for marriage. All serious consideration must be given BEFORE a couplegood.book.jpg marries. Every imaginable effort should be exercised BEFORE the option of divorce is considered.

A couple marries when they make vows and are joined together in sex which comes AFTER marriage.
