The Tumkur University was started in the year 2004 as a separate entity to
cater the needs of thousands of young aspirants of higher education in
the area.

at Vishwavidyanilaya Karyalaya.

Packers and movers fake company caught in Delhi

A fake packers and movers company was busted in Delhi, India on Monday. The Delhi police arrested Somveer Singh, Sanjay Singh and Ratibhan from the capital, who portrayed themselves as professional movers and packers.

The three residents of Bhiwani, Haryana used to vanish away with the household things, which the customers used to give them to transport to another city. And later they used to shut down and shift their office in a new city.

The police arrested them after they received many complaints about their house hold items including cars and two wheelers absconded. The gang so far survived because every time they shifted their office. They used to change their name and advertise on the website with their new names.

The gang came in to picture, when a man from Manipur approached the fake company to transport his Maruti Swift car from Delhi to Nagaland. The customer initially paid them Rs 16,500 and later he was asked to pay Rs 10,000 more. And finally the man complained to the police when he was asked to pay Rs 30,000 more.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences will announce the results of MA on 24th January at 8 pm at its official website http://results.tiss.edu.

The three campuses of TISS are located in Mumbai and Tuljapur in the Indian State of Maharashtra.

The exams were held on December 12, 2010 in Mumbai. The results can be checked by clicking the above link.

Candidates who have passed the exams will have to appear for a interviews and the dates will be informed later.

Bhimsen Joshi passes away in Pune

The legendary musician and singer, Bhimsen Joshi passed away in a hospital in Pune, India. The 89 year old singer was admitted to the hospital earlier this month after he complained of vomiting and breathlessness.

The singer has been honored with Padma Bhushan, Padma Shree and Padma Vibhushan. The singer had also participated in the popular song based on national integration "Mile Sur Mere Tumhara", along with other singing legends like Lata Mangeshkar and Balmurli Krishna.

Pandit Joshi has also been awarded the country's highest civilian honor, Bharat Ratna award in the year 2008. "An era of Hindustani classical music has ended. One of the pillars is gone,” music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan said.

At the tender age of 11, Joshi had discovered the passion he had for music and had left home to persue his career in the field. Before being recognized the singer even worked as a servant in a Bengali actor's house, when he learnt that, he was fond of music. His passion and dedication for music made him the pride of the country.
