The results of the February Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for the year 2011, have been declared by the All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi. Candidates can access the results from the official website at

To access the results, students have to login at the official website and enter their respective roll number, form number and month of test in the given boxes and have to click on the 'Submit' button. The Management Aptitude Test is conducted by the All India Management Association, New Delhi.

The MAT exam is conducted for the admissions to the postgraduate management courses in various prestigious institutions across the nation. The examination is conducted four times in a year in February, May, September and December.

The All India Management Association was established in the year 1957. The association is an apex body of management with 30,000 individual members, 60 Local Management Associations across India and abroad and 3,000 institutional members.

Anna University revaluation results announced

The revaluation results of all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses examinations have been declared by the Anna University. The exams were held in November and December 2010.

Candidates, who had appeared for the exam and had applied for revaluation, can access the revaluation results from the official website of the university at www.annauniv.edu

The Anna University was established in the year 1978 as a unitary type of university. Between 2007 and 2010, the university split in to six universities, Anna University Chennai, Anna University of Technology Chennai, Anna University of Technology Tiruchirappalli, Anna University of Technology Coimbatore, Anna University Tirunelveli and Anna University of Technology Madurai.

In the year 1978, the university was known as Perarignar Anna University. Later in the year 1982 the current name of the university was adopted. In December 2010, the University affiliated almost all the engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The university has also absorbed six government engineering colleges in the state.

Central University of Rajasthan introduces new courses

A course in Hebrew language and a research program in Sufism, have been introduced by the Central University of Rajasthan in India. The announcement was made by the vice chancellor of the university, MM Salunkhe, who also said that the courses have been introduced to improve the growing relationships between the country of Israel and India.

Salunkhe also added that the introduction of the courses may increase the opportunities for the professionals to develop diplomatic relationships between the nations. The introduction of the courses may also increase the opportunities for the students in the field of agriculture, space technology and business.

In order to develop the new courses introduced, the university will be taking assistance from the Sufi teachings and the Sufi philosophy of Khwaja Moinuddhin Chishti. Salunkhe also added, since he has experienced Sufism, the topic needed extensive research on its practices and values.

Looking at the large presence of the Jews in Pushkar and Ajmer, the university might also open a research center on Judaism.

Calicut University M.Sc results announced

The results of the Master of Science (M.Sc) Statistics, 1st semester exam, have been declared by the Calicut University on 23rd February 2011. Candidates can access their respective results at the official website of the university at

The M.Sc 1st semester exams were held in November 2010. The Calicut University is based in Malappuram in the state of Kerala, India. The university has affiliated more than 250 colleges in the state.

The Calicut University was established in the year 1968, which was administered by Dr. MM Ghani. The University provides courses in the faculties of Physics, Biology, Zoology, History, English, Mass Communication, biotechnology, Physical education and Chemistry.

The campus of the university is located in a hill station like place and is spread over in 400 acres. Apart from other faculties, the university mainly concentrates in the faculties of Science and humanities. The Calicut University also provides courses in foreign languages like Russian and Arabic.

Rail Budget India 2011 presented at the Lok Sabha

Indian Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has presented India’s rail budget 2011 at the Lok Sabha on the 25th of February – this was also one of the most anticipated budgets in India. There was a sigh of relief when it was announced there will be no rise in the price of fares and 56 new trains which will be introduced in the country this year itself.

This was good news because India is in a dire need to increase the number of trains in the country, so nine non-stop Duronto Trains and three Shatabdi trains will be launched very soon. Safety during travel was the most important priority, and looking at last years accidents and number of deaths, Mamata Banerjee has promised this shall be taken care of this year.

Online ticket booking charges have been reduced and booking of AC and non AC tickets hae been slashed by 50%. At last the highlights of this budget are the 200 new routes which have been proposed and most of them will come up in the North East, plus the double decker train will be introduced between Jaipur-Delhi and Ahmedabad – Mumbai.
