The most awaited World Cup semifinal match between India and Pakistan, has also brought certain possibilities of match fixing. The Pakistani team members have been specially warned that their activities will be constantly under observation.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has warned the players to keep away from fixing. And has also added that if any such suspicion comes to light, then the players may have to pay for it.

Mohali will soon be witnessing the most crucial and intense match between the two countries. Rehman has said that he trusts his team members, but intelligence team members have been around the players, and now will be scanning their activities and phone calls.

The minister added that this was essential as they did not want to take chances after what had happened in London, in which three Pakistani players were found involved in match fixing. Rehman also gave some advice for the Pakistani players and said, "Do your practice and have ample rest at the proper time. The team has to dedicate themselves to Pakistan." Meanwhile P. Chidambaram also assured that ample security will be provided for the Pakistani players during their stay in Mohali. Chidambaram had said that special arrangements have been made for the game and over 1000 commandos have been deployed to assure the safety of the players.
