The most commonly used veggie, tomatoes were used for the unique and useless innovation. Juice from the tomatoes was sucked out with the help of a syringe and then it was refilled with expensive Indian made foreign liquor. The tomatoes, which are normally available for Rs. 20 to 30 per kg, was now available for Rs. 250 to 300 per kg. The Gujarat police is now searching for such gangs, who produce such non productive tomatoes. However, it is difficult for the police to identify the normal tomatoes from the liquor tomatoes.
