April Fools Day is celebrated around the world on 1st April every year. The day is not a legal holiday but is observed by sharing light pranks and hoaxes with close friends and families. Many times people do run out of ideas of pranks. For those in crisis, here are the top five pranks to trick your friends on April Fools Day.

1. Soda Bottle – Its hot summer afternoon. Buy a 500 ml soda bottle and offer a colleague or a friend if he/she wants some water. As soon as the person drinks from the bottle, the face of the person will be worth a capture.

2. Fake sneeze – Wet you hands with water and pretend like you are sneezing and sprinkle the water on your friend. You will never forget the reaction of your friend.

3. Sunday school – On a Sunday, wake up your siblings saying 'Oh no! It's Late for school.' Be careful if you have an elder brother or sister.

4. Honey Shampoo – Try replacing the shampoo bottle with some honey. Make sure you try this only with those who take the humor in the right way.

5. Fake cake – Fill a cake box with frosting and make it look like a cake. Place it in the office kitchen and wait for a colleague to cut out a piece.

Shiney Ahuja awarded 7-year jail sentence

Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja may not have even imagined that he could end up in such a deep trap. The actor has been convicted by a fast track court in Mumbai, India, for raping his maid at his residence.

The court has sentenced Shiney to seven years of rigorous imprisonment. The judgment was given on the basis of evidence, which had stated a positive DNA test on the 20 year-old victim.

According to the police constable who was inside the court room, Shiney had tears in his eyes when the judgment was being announced. The actor could not control his emotions, when he saw his mother sitting in the court room.

The court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 3000 on the actor, who was also charged of wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation. Ahuja was accompanied by his wife Anupam and advocate Shrikant Shivde. Shiney's mother and a relative had come to the court later. The media wasn't allowed in the court room as the proceeding was in-camera. The 'BhoolBhulaiyya' actor sat patiently throughout the proceeding and was later sent to the Arthur Road jail. Shiney's advocate Shivde has said that they would file an appeal against the verdict in the high court.

A temple where a dog is worshipped?

Dogs are usually known for their faithfulness and good companionship. But when in India, the dog is known for abolishing the cast discrimination. A V Halli is a village in the Ramnagaram district in the state of Karnataka, India, where people worship Sri Naayidole Veerappa, who is also known as the dog God.

The temple is situated next to the temple of Sri Veeramasti Kempamma. The locals have a belief that the dog serves as the God's lieutenant. The devotees come here to make wishes and return to the same temple to offer respects, if their wishes are fulfilled.

The dog God also acts as a fortune teller for the locals and also warns incase of bad events that are about to occur. Moreover, many families in order to show their devotion to the dog God name their new born children after them.

The good thing is the dog God has brought the abolition of the caste discrimination in the village. Even the priest in the temple is always a member of the 'dalit' community.

Dead woman’s re-birth takes place at her funeral

Imagine a dead body suddenly waking up during the funeral procession. A similar incident happened in Vishakhapatnam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. A woman who was declared dead by doctors in the hospital, suddenly woke up during her funeral procession.

All the relatives were left shocked and scared at the same time, when Pinnitla Varalakshmi woke up, when the relatives burst crackers, according to a custom. After her re-birth, she was immediately rushed to the corporate hospital.

However, after a few hours of her re-birth, she died again. Earlier, the woman was rushed to the hospital, when she had collapsed while doing house hold work. The doctors at the KGH hospital had declared her dead and had even issued a death certificate.

One of the relatives of the woman had said that a staff nurse had noticed the pulse of the woman, after which she was admitted to the corporate hospital. Pinnitla had left behind two children, while the doctors who had declared her dead refused to comment over the issue.

Nutan Prasad passes away in Hyderabad

Tollywood actor Nutan Prasad passed away on Wednesday. The actor aged 65, died due to prolonged illness on the way to the hospital in Hyderabad.

Prasad started his acting career in the 70s with the movie 'Andala Ramudu'. Since then, the actor never looked back and delivered the best of his acting skills in all the projects he worked on.

One of his major achievements was when he had played the role of a demon in the movie 'Rajadhiraju'. The movie became very popular and the song of the movie, "Kotta devudandi babu kotta devudandi", is still remembered by people.

Prasad has also won the Nandi Award for the Best Supporting Artist for his role in the movie 'Sundari-Subbarao'. Nutan then met with an accident while shooting for a role, when the cable on which he was swinging, had broken. Nutan was then confined to the wheel chair. However, Nutan continued to play roles despite being handicapped. In 2005, Prasad received the NTR Award. The actor has left behind a son and two daughters.

Automobile manufacturer Honda, has launched the much awaited Honda CBR250R in India. The bike comes from the CBR sports bike box and is available in ABS as well as non-ABS versions.

The CBR has a roaring single cylinder 250cc DOHC engine with four valves, liquid cooling and fuel injection. The bike has a 6 speed gear constant mesh transmission, which produces 25 bhp power and 22.9 Nm of torque.

The CBR has an amazing pick up of 100 kph in just eight seconds, with a capable speed of 160 kph. The bike will be available at 1.77 lakhs and 1.51 lakhs for the ABS and the non ABS versions respectively.

The bookings of the bike have already begun and the first bike will be delivered in the first week of April 2011. For bookings, one can either head towards the nearest Honda dealership or can even register themselves at the HMSI website and wait for the sales person to call and ask for the formalities to be done. With an amazing price range, the CBR may be giving a tough competition to the Kawasaki Ninja, which was till now enjoying the monopoly in India.
