Anna Hazare announces indefinite fast for passing of Lokpal Bill Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:07 AM PDT Indian social activist Anna Hazare, on Tuesday has announced the beginning of his indefinite fast till is death. The social worker has demanded the involvement of the members of the civil society in to the discussion of the Lokpal (Ombudsman) bill. Hazare has said that he was disappointed after the Prime minister did not allow the members of the civil society and the senior ministers to be included in the joint committee, while drafting the Lokpal Bill. The Lokpal Bill or the Ombudsman Bill 2010 is being provided so that complaints can be filed against corrupt ministers and lawmakers, which also includes the Prime minister. The 'India Against Corruption' activist has said that the current Lokpal Bill is of no use and that a separate Jan Lokpal Bill (Public Ombudsman Bill) has been drafted, which needs suggestions from the public and civil society. "I have dedicated my life for the nation. I have not gone to my own house for the past 35 years. I want the money back, which has been lost in corruption and this government is aiding all the corrupt people," Hazare said. Hazare a while ago had said that the corrupt government cannot stop this law from being passed and he would go up to any extent to achieve this. |

When ever a crucial match is on the cards, people start making weird calculations on what they did on the day, when the Indians won the match the other day. Once the individual realizes the fictitious powers, every time the match shows a positive side, the trend is kept constant. For instance, when a live match is being followed by the whole family on TV and another person arrives and the Indians lose a wicket, then the person, who had just entered will be asked to leave immediately. Some say that they wear the same dress, they had worn when India had won a match before, while watching the match. While some even refrain from watching the match as they think that they are unlucky for the team. Even film star Amitabh Bachchan had stayed away from the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, during the finals, while all the stars from Bollywood like Ranbir Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan and Saif Ali khan had thronged at the stadium to witness the historical match. |
