Remember the Bollywood movie 'Sholay', where Dharmendra played the character of Veeru and threatened to jump from a high water tank if he wasn't married to his girlfriend Basanti? A similar incident was repeated in Bikaner, a town in the state of Rajasthan, India.
The only difference was Veeru wanted to get married, but 22 year old girl Usha Bala did not want to get married. Bala's parents had fixed her marriage and had got her engaged four months ago. But the 22 year old wanted to pursue higher studies and did not want to get married so soon. Bala had also expressed that she wanted to become the member of the Prajapati Brahma Kumari ashram in Mt. Abu. But her parents were keener on getting her married. So in order to protest her parent's decision, Bala climbed a cell phone tower and threatened to jump, if her parents insist on getting her married. Soon a crowd of 500 had gathered below the 60 feet long tower. After a one hour long convincing and argument, the girl came down only on the assurance that no one will force her to get married. The police had then arrested her and was later released on bail. Moreover, Usha had even told the reporters that she would not hesitate to take the step again of her parents had even talked of marriage. |

His previous movie Leader did not give him much opportunity to prove his dancing and romancing skills. Nallamalapu Bujji is the producer and the movie is all set to release by the end of April. The movie's first look trailer was released 9th April. 'Nenu Na…' has Rana and Ileana in the lead roles. Director Puri Jagannath, who is known for making commercial films, has this time experimented his directing skills and has attempted some thing different. Crew members of the movie say that it is a different movie and the audience will get to see something different from the usual movies. The movie is a love story, with a hint of thriller in it. |
