Ambedkar Jayanti is no less than a festival for the Hindus in India, who follow the teachings of Dr. B R Ambedkar. The day is observed as the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, who was the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution.

Apart from being a political leader, he was also a Buddhist activist, an orator and a revolutionist. Ambedkar took pains for the betterment of the dalits in the society. There was a time when the upper caste people had dominated the dalits and had termed them as untouchables.

Ambedkar worked hard for them by providing reservations for the dalits. In the year 1990, he was awarded the 'Bharat Ratna' award, which is the highest civilian award in India. to remember the great person, here are a few sms wishes.
