The day occurs on the ninth or the last day of the Navratri festival. Lord Rama was the son of King Dashratha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya. The festival is observed by offering prayers to the sun early in the morning. The festival is mainly observed in places like Ayodhya, which is the birth place of Lord Rama, Rameswaram in the state if Tamil Nadu and Bhadrachalam in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In many places, chariot processions are taken out, which are also known as 'Shobha Yatras' of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman. The  (DTE) Maharashtra, conducts the MBA-CET 2011 results for admissions in higher education. The CET 2011 exams were held on 27th Feb, 2011.
