A sheep that gave birth to a puppy Posted: 02 Apr 2011 11:39 AM PDT A farmer from Fugu County in China, could not believe his eyes, when he saw his sheep licking her new born lamb. Liu Naiying noticed a lamb that actually looked like a dog. "It was still wet. When I took a closer look, it looked weird as if it was a cross between a dog and a sheep. I was initially frightened, as I had never seen such a creature," Liu said. The new born looked like her mother but with all the features of a dog. The vets were also surprised and said that it was impossible for a sheep to give birth to a dog. The dog has now become famous in its locality, while people from near by villages come down to see the unusual creature. The farmer said that the sheep plays with the lamb as if it were a puppy, which it is not suppose to be. A researcher has said that it wasn't possible for the sheep to be pregnant with a puppy. But it may be likely that it may be an abnormal lamb. The puppy has now become famous in its locality and behaves like a puppy and not a lamb. |
Judges caught cheating in exams Posted: 02 Apr 2011 11:37 AM PDT Judges are known for giving the most favorable judgments in a fair way. However, what if the judges cheat. A similar incident had happened in Warangal in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, where the LL. M. examinations were being conducted. The students were no college students but were actual judges of the High Court, who prefered to give the LLM examination, so that they could be eligible for a promotion. While the examination was being conducted, a flying squad of invigilators had noticed from the hidden cameras that the candidates writing the exam were actually coping from the books as well as from smuggled notes. The invigilators had caught seven of the judges coping at the examination. Dayakar Rao, the Principal of Arts and Science College of Kakatiya University said, " It does not matter if they are judges or not. What matters that they were involved in malpractices and a case has been booked against them." After the incident came to light some of the members of the Bar council have raised the question that if such people commit such malpractices, how can one trust the judgments of such people in the court. |
Gudi Padwa SMS wishes and importance of the festival Posted: 02 Apr 2011 05:12 AM PDT The festival of Gudi Padwa is a Hindu festival, celebrated by Maharashtrians in India. The festival is celebrated to mark the first day of the Chaitra month, which marks the beginning of the New Year, according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar. This year the festival will be observed on 4th April, 2011. The festival is mostly observed by the farmers as it also marks the time to sow the seeds on the fields. The day is thus marked as the end of one agricultural season and the beginning of another. Traditionally, on this day a 'gudi' (a momento) is hanged outside the house. A 'gudi' is actually a bright yellow cloth, with brocade tied on the tip of a bamboo stick, which has sugar crystals tied on it. On this occasion here are a few sms wishes to remember your close friends and family. 1. May this Gudi be the harbinger of 2. May this year brings you 3. Lets come together to have a resolution to spread 4. Gudi Padwa May God Bless you |
