The air craft that was hired by the Apollo Hospital in Delhi to carry a jaundice patient Rahul Raj from Patna, had crashed on Wednesday night in Faridabad. The small aircraft had seven people on board, who died in the unfortunate mishap along with three other women, who were residing in the house in to which the flight had crashed.

A team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), have reached the accident spot to investigate how the accident actually took place. Reports have said that the aircraft did not even have a cockpit recorder or a data recorder, which could give some clue about what had went wrong in the aircraft.

The investigators will now have to look in to the matter with limited pieces of evidences. Some of the pilots have said that bad weather could also have been the reason for the crash. According to the eye witnesses, the aircraft came down in a downward spiral motion, which could have made it difficult for the pilot to control.

The patient's father was a trader from Bettiah in the state of Bihar. The aircraft also had Rahul's cousin Ratnesh, who also lost his life in the mishap. Rahul was being brought to Delhi for further treatment as his condition had become critical.

UPSEE 2011 results announced on 25th May

The results of the UPSEE examination for the state of Uttar Pradesh have been announced. The entrance examination was held for students to get admission into colleges that are affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, as well as Mahamaya Technical University.

The results of the entrance examination were declared on Wednesday, the 25th of May 2011. The total number of students who had appeared for the MBA entrance examination was 22,918; out of which 20,736 students had qualified the examination.

The officials of the University have said that the number was the highest pass percentage compared to the other subjects that were offered by the university. Mohd Amir, was the boy who had topped the MBA entrance examination.

82,197 students qualified in the BTech entrance examination out of 1,72,426 students who had appeared. The lowest pass percentage was in the course of BPharma, in which only 12.36% of students could qualify. Moreover, out of 13,906 students who appeared for the MCA entrance examination, only 4,393 students could qualify.

HSC general stream 2011 exams Gujarat to be announced today

The results of the HSC general stream will be announced by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) today, on 26th May 2011. The examinations of the 12 class Commerce stream of the board were held in Ahmedabad.

The examinations for the year 2011 were conducted 14 centres and 14 sub-centres in six zones of the city. More than 29,000 students had appeared for the examination from Ahemdabad.

For the first time, the students will be given grades instead of subject-wise percentage. The grades will be given according to the percentiles. Students will be able to know their calculation of percentiles from their marksheets.

More then 17,000 students had appeared from the rural section from 15 examination centres. Students can get their mark sheets from their schools from 10 am onwards. Moreover, in a measure to decrease the pressure on students, for the first time the list of toppers will not be declared by GSHSEB.

HSC results 2011 of Maharashtra to be announced by May end

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education are likely to declare the results of the 12th Class, HSC by the end of May 2011, while the SSC, 10th class results will be declared before the 15th of June 2011.

The announcement was made by the Maharashtra State Board on Tuesday. The students will be able to access the results online and will receive the hard copy of their mark sheets after a week.

This time the percentage of the students will be calculated according to the Best 5 basis. However, the marks obtained in the subjects will be mentioned in the mark sheet. According to the chairman of the Board Ujjwaladevi Patil, the processing of the results from the various centres are going on.

Patil said that the exact dates of the results will be announced soon. Since last year the board has started to declare the results online. The students, who have appeared for the examination can access their results as well as their mark sheets, by just entering their roll numbers.

IIT results 2011 of Roorkee, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur and Kharagpur announced

The results of the Joint Entrance Examination, for the year 2011 have been announced by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The results have been declared on 25th May and are available at the official website at http://jee.iitd.ac.in/result.php.

Students who have successfully cleared the examination will be eligible for admission in to the prestigious IIT institutes in India. The total number of seats to be filled are more than 9,000.

The results of the IIT Madras, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee and Kharagpur have been declared. More than 4 lakh students have appeared for the entrance examination of the IIT.

The students, who have appeared for the entrance examination will be getting their answer sheets scanned online, just 2 days after the results have been declared in order to maintain transparency. The IIT institutes of Kanpur, Delhi, Madras, Roorkee and Kharagpur are considered as the most popular institutes in the country. The total number of IIT institutes is seven, which are Guwahati, Kharagpur, Bombay, Madras, Delhi, Roorkee and Kanpur.

Bihar Board matric results 2011 to be announced on 25th May

The results of the Intermediate and the Secondary School Examination Board (Matric) for the year 2011 will be announced by the Bihar Secondary Education Board Patna (BSEB) on 25th of May 2011. The board will be announcing the results at 5:30pm.

The students, who have appeared for the examination can access their results from the official website of the board. The results can also be accessed from the results link at http://biharboard.bih.nic.in/ after the results have been declared.

The results can also be accessed through mobile phones by sending a text message. Type bb (space) roll code (space) roll number and send to 54333. The students, who will be trying to access the results from the website are requested to maintain patience as the heavy web traffic may make the website non responsive.

The students are also requested not to take any stress of the examination results and are advised to go for counseling in case if they have any confusion regarding career options.

Rajiv Gandhi remembered on his 20th death anniversary

20 years have passed, but the assassination of the great leader and the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is still prominent in some people's mind. 21st May, 1991 was the day when Gandhi was assassinated by a suicide bomber in Sriperambudur in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Rajiv Gandhi was there to give a solution to for the Tamilians in Sri Lanka. The former Prime Minister was walking towards the podium, while several reporters and supporters of the man were pushing each other to catch a glimpse of the leader.

But before Gandhi reached the podium a huge explosion took place. Earlier, some people thought that it was some loud fire cracker, but later people were heard screaming and running around to save their lives.

Just moments later Rajiv was found on the other side of the carpet, head down. He was turned by people and was beyond recognition and had a brutal death. Among the reporters, who had witnessed the incident that day, not many of them wanted to talk about it as the incident was still fresh in their minds and had disturbed them every time they thought about it.

Renault Fluence launched in India

French auto giant Renault India on Monday, launched its most awaited luxury sedan 'Fluence' in India. With the launch of the luxury sedan, the company also announced that it also has plans to introduce a sport car 'Koleos', which is expected to be out this year.

Moreover, three more cars are lined up to be released by the year 2011. Renault said that it has some plans to manufacture some of the components worth 100 million euros from India by the year 2011.

Talking about Fluence, the car has been specially designed for the Asian market so that the Indian customers could get a taste of what Renault has got to offer. The Fluence has got a four cylinder petrol engine along with CVT transmission.

The sedan has got a spacious 530 litres cargo area and a keyless smartcard entry. The other features of the car include cruise control, dual zone climate control, auto head lights and wipers, active and passive safety system with six airbags. The other safety features include emergency break assist and inertia reel lap sash seat belts. And coming to the heart of the car, the Fluence has got a 2.0 litre four cylinder petrol engine. The cost of the Fluence in India may start from 14,50,000 INR.
