The results of the 2nd PUC supplementary results for the year 2011 of the state of Karnataka, will be announced today on 26th July 2011. The results are likely to be announced after 4 pm. More information about the results are mentioned at the official website of the PUC.

The department of the Pre-University is an autonomous body and deals with the 11th and the 12th standard which is also known as the 1st and 2nd year pre-university classes. The students, who have appeared for the examination can click here for the results after the results have been announced.

CAT 2011 new pattern announced

A change in the format of the Common Admission Test (CAT) has been announced, which offers admissions to the major business schools and the 13 IIMs in India. The number of questions in the test will remain the same.

Earlier, there used to be three sections, but the changed pattern will have just two sections. The appearing candidates will also be given additional five minutes for the test.

An official statement was released by the testing agency, Prometric and the IIMs, which had said that the test will have just two sections. The first section will concentrate on the quantitative ability as well as the data interpretation, while the second section will concentrate on the verbal and logical reasoning.

The two sections will have separate time limits and the examination will be of 140 minutes. The candidates will be having 70 minutes to answer 30 questions in each section, which will also be having an on-screen countdown timer. Once the time is up for the first section, the candidates will have to move on to the next section and cannot return to the earlier section.
