LG Optimus Black available in India @ Rs.19,990

LG launched its Optimus Black smartphone in India which has been priced at Rs.19,000. The new Android based smartphone gives a tough competition to other similar devices like HTC Sensation, Samsung Nexus S and HTC Desire. This lightest high end smartphone comes with five attractive shades such as black, silver, pink, white and brown.

The device weighs just 109 grams and it sports a 4-inch NOVA display, 5 megapixel rear camera and a secondary 2 megapixel front facing camera. The handset is wrapped with a Gorilla Glass over its IPS LCD screen and this scratch resistant mobile gives a very great viewing experience. The mobile is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and includes 2 GB of internal storage. The mobile supports expandable memory of 32GB and includes A-GPS, proximity sensor, digital compass and an accelerometer.

The LG Optimus Black is developed on the basis of Android 2.2 Froyo OS with Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgrade capability . The device comes up with NOVA technology that made users to increase visibility such as indoors or outdoors under strong sunlight. With this NOVA, it has brightest, clearest and readable mobile screens having 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility. NOVA has the capacity of reducing power consumption by 50 percent during indoor use compared to a conventional LCD.

LG Optimus Black allowed users for utilizing higher quality video telephony functions, direct access of messages, emails and missed calls from the locked screen with just one single finger tap. The Gesture UI provides intuitive commands including lifting, shaking and tapping, taking calls, entering camera mode and enjoying music. In addition to all, it introduces the world's first Wi-Fi Direct for quick and high-quality data transfer between mobile devices and offer world's first 2MP front-facing camera.
