Rakhi Sawant item song

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 05:55 PM PDT

The return of the original item gal! Rakhi Sawant is back and is looking amazingly fit and toned for an item song in the upcoming film Rakthbeej. From a voluptuous babe to a svelte siren, what's the secret behind her new avatar?

Rakhi recently said that she is into yoga, and Baba Ramdev is her inspiration. She loves his flat tummy and has even lost 8 kgs with the help of yoga, and of course, the credit goes to Baba. And this time, we do believe her because we see a shapely Rakhi carrying off designer dresses with pizzazz in her show Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyan. What about the C-strings, Rakhi? Well, with this figure and Kim Kardashian as her idol, we are sure she can pull off that act too.

For the song which will feature in the movie Rakthbeej, Rakhi has donned clothes like Munni and is flaunting her slender midriff, which is without an extra inch of flab. The special song is sung by Munni Badnaam Hui singer Mamta Sharma, and is choreographed by Shabina Khan.

Is Anushka Sharma dating Arjun Kapoor?

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 05:53 PM PDT

Rumour of a romantic connection between Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh is old news. There seems to be a new man in Anushka's life! And if the reports are to go by, it is none other than Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor.

Buzz suggests that recently at a dinner, Anushka Sharma and Arjun Kapoor were all smiles and were chatting as if they had known each other from a long time! Even the presence of Aditya Chopra and Habib Faisal did not make much of a difference to Anushka and she spent most of her time with Arjun!

Not only this, it is even being said that Anushka Sharma will be cast opposite Arjun, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Virus Diwan which will be filmed under the Yash Raj Banner! Well, if the movie is being made under the Yash Raj Banner, casting Anushka should not be much of a problem! Wink.

Photoshoot: Freida Pinto looks sensuously glam

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 05:53 PM PDT

Freida Pinto loves to be in style. The flamboyant actress has always made news for her quirky outfits. After Slumdog Millionaire, it didn't take Freida too long to trend on fashion blogs with the kind of outfits she chose to wear. Soon she was the new fashion crush and one among the best-dressed Hollywood celebrities.

Though it's hard to keep up with that style diva image, Freida is doing the job pretty well, and we could see several of her gorgeous photoshoots time and again. This time she is on In Style UK coverpage for the month of August. Looking drop-dead gorgeous, the beauty has shot for a terrific photoshoot. Her stills as a bewildered mistress flashing classy vintage ensemble just spellbinds us.

No wonder, Pinto is featured in People magazine's 'Most Beautiful People List', and 'List of World's Best Dressed Women'. Freida Pinto is now enjoying the success of her film Rise of the Planet of the Apes and is preparing for other films that includes adventure thriller Immortals.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan - Music Review wallpaper

It goes without saying that an album from Yashraj banner comes loaded with expectations. A banner like Yashraj Films stands for standard and they know how to maintain it. With Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan they have come up with light-hearted romantic film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan after the surprise hit Band Baaja Baaraat, last year. Keeping in mind the novelty factor which worked for Band Baaja Baaraat, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has a few names that have never before worked with the banner, and the music composer of the film Sohail Sen is one such talent.

The young guy hasn't tried to come up with anything offbeat, and delivered an album that drips with lilting melodies and hardly anything jarring to the eardrums.

As the album unfurls, we hear Mere Brother Ki Dulhan title track which starts with a very interesting line "Matrimonial si aankhen sab ko taaken jhaken", and we are easily swayed into the realm of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. In the song, Imran Khan is searching for a bride not for himself but for his brother. The number is instantly likeable for its free-spirited tone and KK's voice. The tune is surely engaging, if not awesome. Sohail Sen's fresh attempt to create a hip, jolly number has delivered a hit score.

Phhir - Movie Review

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 05:45 PM PDT

Vikram Bhatt seems to be in love with past lives and ghoul-soul stories. After 1920 and Haunted - 3d, he rehashes the same plot again in the movie Phhir, directed by Girish Dhamija.

The movie revolves around Kabir Malhotra (Rajneesh Duggal), a doctor by profession, who is in love with a girl named Sia (Roshni Chopra) and marries her. A promising career and an ostensibly happy marriage, Kabir has it all! But things change. One day, without any clue, Sia disappears. Kabir then comes across Disha (Adah Sharma), who is a god-gifted girl, and can see the glimpses of the past life as well as the coming future! Disha then helps Kabir in solving the mystery of his missing wife!

The movie starts off on a dreadfully slow note, when in England a baba (Saadhu) rebukes a man, Vikramaditya, for all the sins he had committed! Vikramaditya then commits suicide and is later reborn as Kabir! Phhir is literally an unrealistic movie and it is hard to believe that no one in years came across the dead body of Vikramaditya and his wife in a secluded building. Kabir finally coming and seeing the skeleton of his past self makes no sense either!

Coming to the performances given by the actors, Rajneesh Duggal, being the lead actor of the movie, fails to make much of an impression! The same is the case with Adah Sharma. Roshni Chopra is bizarre and we hope she sticks to displaying her acting skills on television only!

Aarakshan - Movie Review

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 05:44 PM PDT

Prakash Jha's latest film Aarakshan, which has raked up a lot of controversy, is a study in affectations. The hyperventilating characters in it move about spouting dialogue-heavy harangues armed with words like siddhant, anushasannishtha and a variety of other such chaste Hindi terms that a crash course in a roadside Hindi tutorial centre might help you cotton on to. And if you can endure this copious stream of filminess, you might as well resign to the fact that the film has no darned point to make. The film's title is a misnomer. Aarakshan is not actually about Aarakshan. It's…um…more of a muddle that no more than superficially touches upon topical issues like the commercialization of education and, of course, a bit of caste-based reservation as well.

All the hype and hoopla surrounding the movie seems much ado about nothing once you have sat through this 2-hr-45-minute long boring lecture on the ills of education system. And you walk out feeling none the wiser. A bit short-changed perhaps.
