She's finally got back her mojo after the trials and tribulations following her 2008 breakdown - and Britney Spears proved she was back to her sexy best on stage in Montreal last night.

The 29-year-old Womanizer star was playing the show as part of her Femme Fatale tour - and dragged up Jersey Shore star Pauly D, onstage to give the shocked star a lap dance.

As if his hair wasn't standing up on end enough already, Britney then put on a sizzling display while wearing a black basque with red trim and black heeled boots.

Katrina Kaif is getting set to shuttle between two big projects — one each with industry rivals Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. While shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with ex-boyfriend Salman will begin next week, Yash Chopra's romantic film with Shah Rukh goes on the floors in a few months.


although the actor is excited to work with the latter, she's scared and unsure of what to expect. "I'm terrified of working with SRK. I don't know what it's going to be like, but I hear he makes you feel comfortable," she says, adding, "The other day, I wanted to ask him what I must do if there's a scene where I am supposed to look at him longingly, but I can't act when I stand in front of him. What if the words don't come out? What if I choke?"

Even then, Katrina claims that unlike many of her contemporaries, she hasn't grown up in awe of her co-star. "I'm sure he hasn't seen me either when I was a kid. We both come with a clean slate in that regard," she jokes.

SRKMeanwhile, Ek Tha Tiger marks her return to working with Salman, three years after co-starring in Yuvvraj (2008). She says, "Salman and I acted in two successful comedies together and one film that didn't do well. I was a part of Ek Tha Tiger even before they approached him. After New York (2009), Kabir (Khan) and I became good friends and he narrated the film to me a day before I started shooting for Zindagi… Salman was cast much later." She adds, "It was a coincidence. Why should we not do a film together? We are grown-ups and I am comfortable working with him."

SummerSlam is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event, produced annually in August by professional wrestling promotion WWE. The inaugural SummerSlam took place on August 29, 1988 at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York and was broadcast via pay-per-view, unlike the Royal Rumble of that year which was broadcast as a television special on USA Network. Dubbed as "The Biggest Event of the Summer", the event is considered as one of the "Big Four" original pay-per-view events of WWE (along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series) and is regarded by WWE as their second biggest event of the year, after WrestleMania.

Blasts mar Pakistan's 65th independence day

At least three Pakistani soldiers have been killed and 23 others wounded in a rocket attack at a paramilitary base, during a ceremony to mark the country's 65th independence day.

Soldiers had just finished raising the Pakistani flag and were gathering for speeches on Sunday, when the rockets hit the base in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal area, intelligence officials, who asked not to be identified, said.

North Waziristan is the main sanctuary for Taliban and al-Qaeda groups in Pakistan's semi-autonomous tribal region along the Afghan border.

A second blast

Another bomb ripped through a two-story hotel in Pakistan's restive southwest, killing at least 11 people and wounding nearly 20, police said.

No one claimed responsibility for the attack in Dera Allahyar, a town in the southwestern province of Baluchistan, although police said they suspected ethnic Baluch separatists.

The separatists have intensified their campaign since the assassination of a tribal elder, Nawab Akbar Bugti, in a military operation in 2006 during the rule of Pervez Musharraf, the former president of Pakistan.

The town is about 300km east of the provincial capital, Quetta.

"The bomb was planted inside the hotel and it exploded when a large number of people were sitting in a hall," Javed Gharsheen, a local police official, told the Reuters news agency.

Witnesses said the two-story building was destroyed and rescue workers and police were removing the rubble to find any survivors.

Revered actor Shammi Kapoor dies

Actor Shammi Kapoor died this morning (August 14) at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. The veteran actor was 79 years old.

Shammi Kapoor was known for his style and dance steps and was the box office favourite in the 50-60s with his flamboyant style and unmatched persona showcased in movies like Junglee, Kashmir Ki Kali, An Evening In Paris, Bramachari, Teesri Manzil, Ujjala, Chinatown and Andaz. In all, Shammi ji acted in over 100 movies.

Shammi is the elder brother of actor Shashi Kapoor and younger brother of legendary showman Raj Kapoor. Till his death Shammi Kapoor remained active on many fronts and was one of the most revered stars of his generation. He was due to shoot a sequence with grand-nephew Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar

Shammi Kapoor had suffered kidney failure and was in and out of hospital over the past few months. He was a regular visitor at the Breach Candy hospital for his dialysis. The actor had been in serious condition in the ICU on ventilator support for the past two days and died due to renal failure early this morning.

The funeral for the Bollywood legend will be held tomorrow (August 15) at 11 am at the Ban Ganga crematorium, Mumbai.
