Ireland has won the toss and decided to field in the only ODI against England. The match is being played at Dublin on august 25, 2011.

When last rreports came in, England were 29 for the loss of one wicket in nine overs.  See live score.

With most of their top ODI players rested after the Test series against India, England selected three new caps – allrounder Ben Stokes, James Taylor, and Scott Borthwick, the Durham legspinner. Ian Botham gave them the caps.

The playing eleven players are are as below:

 Ireland: WTS Porterfield*, PR Stirling, AR Cusack, GC Wilson, KJ O’Brien, JF Mooney, NG Jones, WB Rankin, GH Dockrell, EC Joyce, NJ O’Brien.

England :  SR Patel, BA Stokes, SG Borthwick, CR Woakes, EJG Morgan*, RS Bopara, ST Finn, JW Dernbach.

England have a clear edge over a rookie Ireland team, with more than 500 caps in their squad. They will have to get a move on in the contest, however. England have a flight home at 9.10pm, means that the lunch break has already been reduced to 30 minutes.

George Dockrell, the spinner who bowled with such composure during the World Cup 2011, is another Ireland player who comes into the game with high expectations.

CS results declared by ICSI on 25th August 2011

The results of the CS 2011 have been announced on Thursday on 25th August 2011. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has declared the results at 11 am and is available at the official website.

The students can click here to visit the official website to download the results. The official website might take some time to respond, so the students are requested to maintain patience.

The website may be slow due to the heavy web traffic. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India is a statutory professional body that has been constituted under the Company Secretary's Act 1980.

The act was passed by the Parliament of India. The body is considered as the only professional body to develop the profession of Company secretaries in India. The headquarters of the ICSI is located at New Delhi which the other regional offices are located at Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. The ICSI also has a mutual recognition agreements with the ICWAI and ICSA.

BTEUP announces results of polytechnic 2011

The Polytechnic results for the year 2011 of the Board of Technical Education (BTE) Uttar Pradesh have been announced on 24th August 2011. The students who are looking for their results can check the official website.

To access the results the students can click here. The students have to enter their roll number and then have to click on the 'submit' button to get the results.

The students are requested to maintain patience while accessing the official website as it may not respond properly due to heavy web traffic. The Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education aims at providing the students with technical education.

For admission in to the course the students must have completed at least high school. The BTEUP is affiliated with most of the government colleges and also some of the private colleges. More than 80 colleges are affiliated with BTEUP and offer courses in group A. The other groups offer courses in programs like home science, textiles, agriculture and other fields.

UP polytechnic result declared

Exam result

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, UP, Lucknow has declared the results of the polytechnic examinations on August 24, 2011.

The Key for the year 2011 has also has been published along with the results.

The results can be checked at its official website.

Due to the large size of Uttar Pradesh, it is common that it has large number of academic and educational institutions.

These institutions are either under the jurisdiction of the UP State Government, the Central Government, or are privately firm.

UP  has an IIT at Kanpur, an IIM at Lucknow, an NIT and a IIIT at Allahabad.

The Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University has also been upgraded to the status of IIT.

Most of the schools in UP are affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad ( called as the UP Board) with Hindi as the first language, while schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with English as first language are also present.

India vs Sussex ODI, live cricket score, highlights

India will play a 50-over tour match against Sussex on Thursday, August, 25, 2011 at the County Ground in Hove.  MAtch will begin at 3:15 p.m. India time.

India after losing the Test series 4-0 would want to use this match for pratice and get some form for their players ahead of the five odi series.

India lost the series as well as the top ICC Test ranking to England. India have to really play well to win the ODI series against England as they are now in top form and confidence after winning the test series.

For India, top players, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Gambhir, who did not attend the nets are likely to sit out. Ajinkya Rahane and Varun Aaron are yet to arrive in England for the five ODI series.

In the absence of  opener Virender Sehwag and  all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, India need Gambhir to regain top fitness and start scoring again if they want to get some good headsup before the ODI series.

Last July, Sussex defeated the Bangladesh side, registering a 149-run victory. India, too, have lost at the County Ground, by 4 wickets at the 1999 World Cup against South Africa.
