In some good news for the investors and bad news for the purchasers of gold, the price of the yellow metal has crossed the Rs. 25,000 mark per 10 gms in India. In Chennai the price of gold is Rs 25,150, In Mumbai Rs. 24,930, in Kolkata Rs. 25,295 and in Delhi the price is Rs. 25,120 per 10 gms.

The prices have risen due to the increasing inflations as well as the hazy global economy. Since the last one year the price of gold has risen by 34 percent.

According to the experts, such a trend is seen due to the weakening of the US dollar against the other major currencies like Japanese Yen, Euro and Swiss Franc. A lot was contributed towards the rise of the gold due to the weakness of the US economy, which is considered as the world's largest economy.

The experts have suggested for the investors that they could buy the gold at current level. And those who are planning to buy gold jewellery in future can pay their jewelers so that they can lock the current price.

Meanwhile, the DMK chief M Karunanidhi too had welcomed the decision of the Apex Court. Karunanidhi added that if such an order had come during the DMK regime then Jayalalitha would have asked for his resignation. But the DMK chief said that he would not take such a step now.
