Salman Khan undergoes surgery for nerve disorder

The Bodyguard actor Salman Khan has recently undergone a surgery for trigeminal neuralgia, which is a nerve disorder. The actor went through the surgery last night on Wednesday in a hospital in Los Angeles.

Close friends of the actor have said that the doctors had advised him to undergo a surgery as soon as possible. The surgery involves to remove a blockage inside his mouth, a procedure which is very similar to a heart surgery.

Such a surgery usually lasts for at least five hours. The 'Dabangg' actor was suffering from acute pain in his lower jaw for the last three months. The problem had persisted for more than seven years. Initially, the pain used to be bearable and it had also vanished after a year or two.

But the pain returned again and this time the actor could not neglect it. Salman used to experience pain every time he had eaten something extreme hot or cold. This is the first time the actor has missed the release of his film. His movie Bodyguard has released and has also grossed Rs. 20 crores in just a day. After the treatment finished, the actor is supposed to shoot for the movie 'Ek Tha Tiger' opposite Katriana Kaif.

Seems like, the recently released movie Bodyguard starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor has got an auspicious opening on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. Once again Salman has proven himself as the best entertainer in Bollywood at present.

The film opened with a dangling box office with Rs.16 to 18 crores range. On Wednesday, the movie grossed around Rs. 20 crores, which has become the highest ever a film has made in a day.

The actor has always released his movies like 'Dabangg' and Wanted around the festival of Eid, which has proved lucky for the movies. Popular film critic Taran Adarsh has said that even the strongest optimist has could not have imagined that the movie could gross Rs. 20 crores in a day.

Adarsh had added that the earlier record was held by the movie 'Dabangg' which had grossed Rs. 18 crores on the day of Eid last year. This has also indicated that the movie might do an even better business on the upcoming weekend.
