Kings XI Punjab vs. Kolkata Knight Riders Live Score, IPL 6 Match 20 Preview and Updates

Posted: 15 Apr 2013 09:31 PM PDT

Kolkata Knight Riders who smashed Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last match by 48 runs will take on Kings XI Punjab in their next match. On the other side Kings XI has not being able to gain any lead after their first victory against Pune Warriors and need to perform really hard to cinch win from Kolkata at their home ground in Mohali.

Match Date and Updates

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Kings XI Punjab at their home ground.  The duo will be competing in the 20th IPL 6 match scheduled on 16th April 2013 at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali starting at 4:00 pm.

Kolkata Knight Riders

After clinching win from the newbie Sunrisers by 48 runs in the last match Kolkata Knight Riders are on a high. This Gambhir led team is not going to allow Kings XI simply walk away with the win. In the last few matches the performance of the team has being pretty impressive.

Eoin Morgan and Jacques Kallis along with Skipper captain Gautam Gambhir performed brilliantly on the pitch in the last match. At last the restricting performance of Sunrisers' bowler was still not able to contain the Knight Riders' batsmen.

For winning all the matches on the list KKR's team spirit is definitely the key. In the bowling department pacers Brett Lee and Laxmipathy Balaji are having a crucial advantage of bouncy and fast pitch of the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium. Additionally Sunil Narine is a brilliant spinner in team.

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI with two consecutive defeats on their part must be looking forward to get a breakthrough with this match. But Kolkata Knight Riders is not an easy team to compete and their last play against Sunrisers has clarified this very fact. Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings are the teams against whom Kings XI has proved to be an under performer.

In their last match Kings XI lost the match with a large margin of 6 wickets by Dravid led Rajasthan Royals. Team was not even able to remain on the pitch for complete 20 overs and this is a concern on part of Captain Adam Gilchrist.

In the match against KKR it is very important that players like David Hussey, Gilchrist, Gurkeerat Singh, Mandeep Singh and R Sathish are able to be on pitch for the complete inning. Also David Hussey who is the sole performer for the Kings XI team needs to continue with his power play to lead the team.

In the bowling section Praveen Kumar, Ryan Harris, Parvinder Awana and Azhar Mahmood are the names that are on the list. Spinner Piyush Chawla is yet to prove his worth and strengthen the balling order of the team.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Delhi Daredevils Live Score & Updates: IPL 6 Match Preview

Posted: 15 Apr 2013 09:27 PM PDT

This IPL season is not proving much beneficial for the Daredevils as the team is simply getting crushed by the opponents. With four defeats at their hands they are going to face Royal Challengers Bangalore that is no easy team fight with. Royal Challengers who got defeated by the men in Yellow lead by Dhoni at the last ball will be looking forward for a win against Delhi in this match.

For Daredevils to even survive the impact they need to play hard to their bones at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium this Tuesday to survive in IPL6.

Match Venue and Date

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be taking on to Delhi Daredevils in the 21st IPL 6 match on April 16, 2013. The match will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium starting at 8:00 pm.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers is a team that is capable to destroy any opponent and their real strength is their batting order. Chris Gayle is that ultimate weapon that if gets set on a correct direction then it's impossible to seek a safe corner for any bowler. The skipper captain Virat Kohli is no easy name to handle. These two team mates are on a hunt for the orange cap this season and there is very less scope for a third name to join in. AB de Villiers' score of 60 just out of 32 balls is fair enough to assure Royal Challengers that it's no easy lay for anyone to get a break through. Mayank Agarwal is also a promising name for RCB.

Chennai Super Kings in the last match gone over the balanced bowling order of Bangalore and this needs to be worked out on. RP Singh the name that is bearing the most burdens for the last minute victory of Super Kings along with Vinay Kumar who didn't worked out well for the team can be a concern. Howeber one name that attracted attention in the match was Ravi Rampaul. The West Indian bowler with 3 crucial wickets on his name was a show stealer.

Also Syde Mohammed made the decision worth taking to include him in the match with his performance. Muttiah Muralitharan and Murali Kartik in the spinning department are not making any news. For a change we can expect Jaidev Unadkat in the team to pump up the bowling order.

RCB vs DD

Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils is a team that we can look forward to end up at the last position in IPL ranking provided they do not work out any magic on the pitch. Simply getting battered by every team and with 4 defeats at their hands, Mahela Jayawardene lead Daredevils needs a breakthrough. For good there is only David Warner in the team who has scored 159 runs @ strike rate of 137.

The special ingredient for a comeback can only be added by seniors Mahela Jayawardene and the limelight star Virender Sehwag. Their play is crucial to set a platform for players like Kedhar Jadhav and Manpreet Juneja flourish beneficially on the grounds.

All rounder players of the team Andre Russell, Jeevan Mendis and Johan Botha are neither performing in bowling nor in batting.

Pacers in the bowling order Ashish Nehra and Irfan Pathan were weak with their deliveries on the pitch in the last match. South African Morne Morkel who clinched his share of fame with his firing deliveries in the last season is not warming the grounds this time around. Umesh Yadav is simply proving expensive with his bowling. The only name which has proven to be worthwhile till now is Shahbaz Nadeem balling with economy of 5.80 for the Daredevils.

Probable Team Squad

Royal Challengers Bangalore: V Kohli (c), C Gayle, M Agarwal, AB de Villiers, M Henriques, A Karthik(wk), R Rampaul, RP Singh, V Kumar, S Mohammad (or) M Kartik, J Unadkat

Delhi Daredevils: M Jayawerdene (c), V Sehwag, D Warner, M Juneja, K Jadhav(wk), J Botha (or) A Russell, I Pathan, M Morkel, S Nadeem, U Yadav, S Kaul (or) A Nehra
