Mark Linkous's music originated from a core of pain. It is fascinating to know that Mark Linkous was declared dead for two minutes after he took a dangerous mix of antidepressants and Valium on his tour to U.K. behind the Sparklehorse's debut.

Mark Linkous had to undergo several surgeries to cure his damaged limbs. Still, he came back and recorded Good Morning; Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain and It's a Wonderful Life. The only fear Mark Linkous had after his technical death was that the part of his brain which he used to write songs might be damaged. Publicist of Markus Linkous confirmed that he had almost finished the new album before his death.
