| Robert Culp: I Spy Fame Says Final Good Bye To The World Posted: 25 Mar 2010 11:34 AM PDT  Robert Culp Died Los Angeles – 79 Years old Robert Culp who got name and fame along with his companion Bill Cosby through the popular series of 1960s named "I Spy" said final good bye to this mortal world after completing his journey on this earth. This sad news was confirmed to AFP by his spokesperson Mr. Dick Delson. He also told that he collapsed nearby in his Hollywood home and died right there. Robert Culp was strolling in a park this morning. According to his spokes Mr. Delson this park is outside his home. All of a sudden he fell down and possibility of severe heart attack can not be denied as an important contributing factor in his demise. The moment he fell down he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the hospital administration after 11 AM on Wednesday. As far as detailed report about his death is concerned so it will be depicted publicly by the investigators. This renowned actor started the plane flying the plane of his acting career in 1950. But he shined and made his presence felt everywhere in the 1965-68 series named "I Spy" in which he played the role tennis trainer of Bill Cosby. But in actuality Robert Culp played the role of a Globe Trotting Agent in this famous Series. |

| Will Maharashtra Read its Budget 2010 on Tea? Posted: 25 Mar 2010 04:04 AM PDT  Budget MUMBAI: The tea prices are about see rise in their prices from Rs 20-30 per kg in current Maharashtra budget. State government is not willing to keep the commodity into the select list of items drawing 4% of value added tax (VAT). The government is yet to take its decision on the beverage whether to keep it under schedule C or keep it out to attract 12.5% of VAT. Tea come the schedule C of VAT list until March 31, 2010. Tea traders are worried that once tea will falls under residual head it'll pressurize them raise prices for their customers. Once Maharashtra budget 2010 is out, it would attract 12.5% VAT. The government is yet to take a decision on the issue. "If 12.5% VAT comes into effect, tea prices would definitely rise by Rs 20-30 a kg which will be too harsh for the common man and add to the serious problems of food inflation, with which the central government is struggling to fight," said Harendra Shah, managing director of Girnar Tea and president, Federation of Tea Traders Association of Maharashtra. Sources have revealed that the state government has its plan to change the category of the beverage. An official on the condition of anonymity said, "Every other state, of late, has raised sales tax on various items. Most states, in fact, have hiked VAT on all items in the 4% category except the declared goods — that's Centre's prerogative. So, Maharashtra may follow in their foot-steps." Prices of Tea that currently range from Rs 180-200 per kg would go up to Rs 200-220 per kg and Rs 325-350 per kg from the current Rs 300-320 per kg if it'll face hike of 4% to 12.5%. Other daily consumption products like Skimmed milk powder, instant coffee are taxed at 4% in all the states. Therefore, if tea faces the raise then it'll definitely put burden the already reeling consumers. |
