 Cesar Chavez Cesar Chavez , most remembered for his great endeavors for the uplift of the American farm workers, his birthday was celebrated with much zeal and vigor. The celebration marked as a red letter day in the lives of many farm workers who still are living under poor standards. There is a huge demand to announce his birthday as a national holiday which could give a symbolic meaning to the lives of the poor farm workers. The poor workers are quite often exploited by the feudal lords and are even subjected to brutal slavery. The very basic fundamental rights are denied to them. The United Farm Workers of America (UFW), the first of its kind organization who is vigorously working for the development of these down trodden farmers is soon to organize a 25-mile Farmworker Freedom March, conducted in the coming month. In this pioneering campaign farm workers would be taking a steady march from Tampa to Lakeland, Florida.the whole week has been titled as the Farmworker Awareness Week. | The Warwick Rhode Island Mall Gets Flooded First Time in 40 years Posted: 31 Mar 2010 12:24 PM PDT  flood The Warwick Rhode Island Mall experienced its worst on Wednesday as flood entered its premises up to 2 to 3 feet. The mall's owner stated that it was the first time in 40 years that the mall was flooded. The building which has around 70 stores left the retailers unaware regarding the protection of their merchandise. The Rhode Island is facing its worst flooding in 100 years. The Interstate 95 had to be closed for the traffic from Boston to New York. The officials asked the Warwick residents to not launder their clothes or flush toilets due to the failing of the water and sewage treatment plant. The University of Rhode Island decided to suspend its classes on Wednesday. The traffic was in such a situation that the area was appearing like a maze with residents trying to get away. Standing water made it difficult for the drivers to drive anyhow. In another incident a dam in Porter was let loose leading to a release of torrent of water but no injuries have been reported yet. |

The took the shows like "NYPD Blues" , "Homicide" , "Corner" and his own "Kingpin" to the zenith of success with is glorious work. He was also lending his al important hand to the writing staff of HBO's "Treme". Besides a swanky writer and producer he was also a famous blogger. He was Carrying an entertaining blog "Undercover Black Man" Blog. According to Allan Sepinwall David He still remembers that David was his best friend. He was also his first friend in the world of Television. When Allan recalls his earlier days so he says he helped him a lot when he up and coming writer on staff at that show. He also remembers that he called him and asked him that how much I liked his work and appreciated the website. Former newspaperman Mr. David Simmons says that he was like a college classmate to him. According to him his most cherished and famous moment came during the interview with Rapper Sister Souljah. In this interview he brazenly stated "If black people can bring black people to death so why not to spend one week and murder all the white people?" All this was said by him in a hot discussion about Rodney king Riots. He also remembers that when he got his first job he was invited by David to the fox lot to meet him. There a special interview was set up by him and that too with bigwigs like Steven Bochco and David Milch which was a big deal for him. Both of us used to have lot of fun according to him. Milch was a man who could understand the need of someone in not time. He was also maven at helping people in their work and careers. In his life Mills tried his hand on other jobs also. After "NYPD" he gave sometime to "ER" and created a character named "Rocket Romano". He collaborated with Simons and bagged some deserving Emmy Awards. He also studied a famous show like "Kingpin" with his awesomely hypnotic work. But once the kingpin went off air so another season was not allowed by NBC for kingpin. And there are number of memories of David Mills which will always remain in the heart of everyone. | Berkeley College Student Identified as the Empire State Building Jumper Posted: 31 Mar 2010 11:16 AM PDT Cameron Dabaghi, a student of Berkeley college is identified as the man who jumped from the Empire State Building in the New York City on Tuesday. According to the university spokesman he was 21 year old and belonged to Austin, Texas. The students of the college gathered along with the dean to mourn and comfort each other. Counselors were available full time too take care of any student. Officers were immediately deployed after seeing Dabaghi's body. He was pronounced dead right at the scene. The 102 story Empire State Building is considered to be the third tallest building of America according to the Associated Press. Since its opening in 1931, more than 30 people took the plunge for suicide from this building. Authorities are taking strict care that none of such action is repeated again. |

In South Lanarkshire, a 17 year girl was killed by snow accident while traveling to Alton Towers on school coach trip by crashing on the A73 at Wiston, near to Biggar. Police saved 300 people from vehicles including school bus which got stuck in snow on the Glenshane Pass, near Londonderry. Electricity lines got fall in Northen Ireland and Scotland due to that around 48,000 homes in Ireland and 24,000 homes in Scotland are facing power cut. Weather report of Scotland was more terrible on Wednesday morning, said by BBC weather analyst Laura Tobin. Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria and the Welsh mountains weathers are also having snowfall for full day. The school coach was carrying 39 students along with five staff and a driver from Lanark Grammar School. Around 0600 BST the bus left the road and reached the end of the road. It got collapsed on same time. Three students were injured badly, eight people suffering from minor injuries and two people under treatment in Glosgow hospital. After the crash, 44 people received treatment in hospital and 19 people admitted in different hospitals in Lanarkshire and Glasgow, said by NHS Lanarkshire. According to Health board the patients are in safe condition. Police of Strathclyde informed that the accident will be investigated but the condition of road is really “horrendous”. |
