Shimoga News: two died in protest and communal violence

Shimoga is a city and district in Karnataka and home-town of the Karnataka chief minister. In Shimoga more than 1500 people were protesting  in anger when a  local newspaper published an article written by the Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen.  In the protest and mob violence / police firing two people died and many injured. Shimoga district has been under the control of administration an the administration has imposed morning to night curfew.

IIM’s have announced the results of CAT and percentile of the students who appeared in the CAT 2009 – 2010 which was the online cat conducted by IIM’s in association of Prometric USA. Prometric USA is a leading organization for the standard testing throughout the  world for GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, PFGEE etc. The IIM Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad Shillong has uploaded the list of the candidates who have qualified for the Personal Interview and Group Discussion for the finall admission into the IIMs batch of PGP 2010 – 2012.

The list of candidates qualified for the IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Ranchi is yet to be displayed on the website catiim.in

The candidates will be called for the PI/ GD by the different IIMs based on their list of qualified candidates in the CAT IIM 2010.

Vayu Shakti-2010 is the biggest Airshow of Airpower demonstration by the Indian Air Force in Pokhran area of Rajasthan, India.

The Indian Air Force is showing its Air Fighting strength. The Vayu Shakti-2010 will have more than 70 fighter planes of Indian Air Force with different combat planes like Sukhoi 30, Mirage 2000, Mig 21, Jaguars, Helicoptors, Missiles etc.  The Vayu Shakti-2010 is the largest air show by the Indian Air Force. Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) is also used first time to monitor the biggest Air Power show by IAF.
