You can say amen to that. It's been two years since a prostitute named Mike Jones alleged he'd had a three-year, drug-fueled affair with Haggard. Haggard, now 52, ultimately admitted to a crystal-meth purchase and "sexual immorality." Within a week, he'd stepped down from his posts and into the pantheon of evangelicals (Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart) felled by their own sins. Now, in his first magazine interview since the scandal, Haggard talks about his ongoing struggle with his sexuality, his former church and his plans for the future. Why now? For one thing, he's pushing "The Trials of Ted Haggard," a wincingly candid HBO documentary due to air on January 29. But as you can sense in the film, and hear in conversation, Haggard still feels a lot of anger—at New Life Church, as well as at himself.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a American evangelical preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregation he serves, he is the founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was leader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003 until November 2006.



On Friday, Haggard admitted he had received a massage from a Denver man who claimed the prominent pastor had paid him for sex over three years. Haggard also admitted he had bought methamphetamine.

Haggard, in an interview with CNN affiliate KUSA, denied having sex with Mike Jones and said he did not use the drug and threw it away.

Victoria Principal Donate Money For Clean Up The Tragic Oil Spill

Dallas star Victoria Principal has donated $200,000 to clean up the tragic oil spill along Louisiana's coast. The donation will benefit Oceana and the Natural Resources Defense Council, two non-profits she hopes will support a shift toward renewable energy.

Victoria Principal (born January 3, 1950[1]) is an American actress, best known for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the CBS nighttime drama Dallas from 1978 to 1987.

The former "Dallas" star is among a handful of celebrities who have become involved with the cleanup efforts. Ted Danson, who serves on Oceana's board of directors, is an outspoken critic of offshore drilling.

Director James Cameron met with officials to share his expertise on underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies. And Kevin Costner has invested more than $24 million to develop devices now under consideration to help clean up the spill.

Authorities say the 20-year-old tied herself to the fence Tuesday and her 41-year-old mother, Saskia, poured a black substance over her.

They told officials they were protesting a visit by the president of Peru. Q'orianka Kilcher's father is a Peruvian Indian.

Q'orianka Waira Qoiana Kilcher (born February 11, 1990) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Pocahontas in the 2005 film The New World, directed by Terence Malick.

Kilcher still pinches herself to make sure it's all not just a dream. "He just killed us," Ernie Els said after Mickelson won all nine skins and $50,000 for charity by beating Els, Sean O'Hair, Kenny Perry and tournament host Jack Nicklaus in a nine-hole exhibition.

The last time the two played together was in 2000 PGA Championship, which won by Woods. The 14-time major winner also won the year before that and in 2001.

The pairing of Woods and Nicklaus was a result of decision by Morgan Stanley not to entertain clients and employees at the annual tournament in Dublin.

Prior to this year's tournament, all 54 amateur spots were filled in the pre-tournament program event.

The Golden Bear acquitted himself quite well, even though he was playing with four of the best players in the world: Mickelson, Ernie Els, Kenny Perry and Sean O'Hair. They were competing for $25,000 to benefit The First Tee, as was the star-studded fivesome a hole behind: Woods, Rory McIlroy, Steve Stricker, Jim Furyk and Johnson.

It was a day for catching up as much as tuning up. All the players wore portable microphones, and their comments blared over speakers.

WMATA capital hearing: Tonight at 5:30, WMATA is holding a hearing on the capital budget. Normally, these hearings happen in tandem with TPB hearings and almost nobody attends, but this time, WMATA decided to have a separate hearing.

BP's last attempt to cap the well, "top kill", ultimately proved unable to overpower the flow of oil with an infusion of heavy mud, Newsweek, reported. Underwater robots had injected heavy drilling fluids into the mile-deep well from May 26-30. BP had said that the operation, which has never been attempted at such depths, has a 50-50 chance of success.

The top kill is underway, success uncertain. BP engineers are pumping mud at a furious rate into the damaged blowout preventer that sits on the uncapped well at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. The hazardous-but-high-reward maneuver comes five weeks into the oil spill crisis amid an intensifying atmosphere of political recrimination that has spread from the Gulf Coast to the White House and Congress.

"That's when we got aggressive in getting the word out, saying, 'Hey don't cancel, the beaches are untouched,' " says Louthain, "That's when the cancellations calmed down."

That may also be why Florida Gov. Charlie Crist asked BP for $35 million for an ad campaign to promote Florida tourism and real estate; Crist got $25 million.

A dead sea turtle washed up on the shore in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Fishing has been banned in the Gulf as the government scrambles to deal with a disaster that could be "worse than Valdez."

Rythm Method The Real Practice

The rhythm method is based on three ideas. Firstly, that women ovulate 14 days before menstruation begins, give or take two days. Secondly, that sperm can survive inside a woman for three days. And lastly, that an egg can only be fertilized within 24 hours of being released from the ovaries.

Calendar-based methods are various methods of estimating a woman's likelihood of fertility, based on a record of the length of previous menstrual cycles. Various systems are known as the Knaus-Ogino Method, rhythm method (jokingly referred to as "Vatican Roulette"), and Standard Days Method. These systems may be used to achieve pregnancy, by timing unprotected intercourse for days identified as fertile, or to avoid pregnancy, by restricting unprotected intercourse to days identified as infertile.

But there were some notable exceptions in the new survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 17 percent of sexually experienced teen girls say they had used the rhythm method — timing their sex to avoid fertile days to prevent getting pregnant. That's up from 11 percent in 2002.

Criminal police chief Gen. Cesar Guardia told a news conference that Joran van der Sloot was being sought in the Sunday killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel. Guardia said the suspect fled the country the next day by land to Chile.

Van der Sloot is suspected in the weekend stabbing death of Stephany Flores Ramirez, 21, whose body was found Wednesday wrapped in a bloody blanket in a hotel room in Lima, Peru, CBS said. Chief of detectives Col. Miguel Canlla says she was killed Sunday, and her father says van der Sloot appears with her in video taken at a Lima casino early Sunday.

Natalee Ann Holloway (born October 21, 1986) disappeared on May 30, 2005, during a high school graduation trip to Aruba, a Caribbean country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The American student from Mountain Brook, Alabama, Holloway graduated from Mountain Brook High School on May 24, 2005, shortly before the trip. Her disappearance caused a media sensation in the United States.

Debralee Lorenzana always made sure she looked up to the mark at work; she worked at Citibank branch in Midtown, NYC. Debrahlee's colleagues asked her to be a little careful about the turtleneck sweaters, pencil skirts and high heels and especially asked her not to wear fitted suits. Why? Because, she was a big source of distraction for her counterpart male employees. Lorenzana's bosses exactly told her that "as a result of the shape of her figure, such clothes were purportedly 'too distracting' for her male colleagues and supervisors to bear." Now whether this is a legitimate excuse on their part, would be decided in the court when the matter would be settled after Debralee sues Citibank Corp.

Frankly, this sounds very bad for her managers. They must have been very hard-up for loving if they couldn't bear the sight of Lorenzana in a business suit.

Steven Hill stabs three and kills His 30 year old Friend

According to the police, Steven Hill was about to be fired which would have resulted in him having to move out. Steven Hill was driving a blue 1996 Toyota with the license plate numbered as 5YTC423. Steven Hill is an African American male who is about six feet tall. His picture has not been released by the police yet. The victim that Steven Hill killed was a 30 year old man from LA, California. The wounded victims are being treated at the Northridge Hospital. The police continue to manhunt for Steven Hill who took off right after the stabbing.

Steven Hill (born February 24, 1922) is an American film and television actor. His two better-known roles are District Attorney Adam Schiff on the NBC TV drama series Law & Order, whom he portrayed for ten seasons (1990–2000), and Dan Briggs, the original team leader of the Impossible Missions Force on CBS's television series Mission: Impossible, whom he portrayed only in the initial season of the show (1966–1967).

It all seems to have started when his colleagues told Hill that he would have to move out of the company headquarters, where he had been living for several months at that point. He was told he would have to move out by Wednesday, but he decided to take the prop weapon and stab his colleague. The other two heard the man screaming and got stabbed themselves.

After that, the actor fled the scene in a blue Toyota RAV 4. The car is damaged on the right side.

Larry Platt, known to most as the singer who auditioned to American Idol with his song "Pants on the Ground," has died is what many people have heard. Pants on the Ground guy dead is the headline many will be seeing. Larry Platt was part of American Idol season nine as he auditioned with his own song "Pants on the Ground."

America’s Got Talent 2010 Season 5 Auditions, Registration

The New Directions clan turned out to be talented and netted an extended standing ovation from the audience and the judging panel (even Piers, who referred to it as inspiring and emotional), in what might have been the first serious contender for the championship to emerge so far this season.

The fifth season of the NBC competition kicked off tonight with Howie Mandel joining Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne on the judging table in LA.

For anyone who missed those auditions but still wants a chance to have their act seen by producers, two options are available. The act can upload a video through the pre-registration form, or it can attend one of the spring auditions. New audition cities for early 2010 have already been announced on NBC's website. The cities and dates are:
  • Los Angeles, California: January 23-24
  • Dallas, Texas: January 30-31
  • Orlando, Florida: February 13-14
  • Atlanta, Georgia: February 20-21
  • Portland, Oregon: February 28-March 1
