 Antara Mali Antara Mali, the glamorous actress of the movies like Company, Road, Naach and Mast has shaved off her head and gone bald for her upcoming movie, And Once Again. Antara had done her last movie 5 years back, it was also the movie she directed. But Mr Ya Miss was a flop and Anatara has not been seen since. In an interview with IANS she said that this is not her comeback movie. Here are the excerpts from the interview. She said "Shaving your head is not an easy thing to do. I did suffer later, but I still have no regrets, When Amolda told me that I would have to shave my head for the role in the film, my initial reaction was just excitement because these are opportunities that don’t come to you too often and even if they come they come at a wrong time. For instance, If I was deep in my career, I wouldn’t have been able to do something like this because you are committed to other films so you can’t shave off your head, but it came to me when I had no commitments in my life. I could just do whatever I wanted. So I was feeling so free" Antara had made her debut in Bollywood with Prem Katha. Her last flick was Mr Ya Miss, here she talks about the gap since then "I retired after ‘Mr Yaa Miss’. I think that at that point, I’d hit a dead end in terms of what I wanted to do. I wasn’t very sure and then I thought that I didn’t feel like working. All of us go through that phase, I’m still not ready to come back and ‘And Once Again’ is just a one-off film that I’m doing. It’s not my comeback film" The upcoming flick also stars Rajat Kapoor and Rituparna Sengupta. The English film is directed by Palekar. Talking about her character, she said "It’s a very quiet performance and unusual because of the nature of the role. I don’t think I would have been able to do this a few years back. There has been a certain growth as a person in me and I think whatever I have felt and experienced sort of just evolved in this character" When asked how she prepared for the role, she said "I did exactly what Amolda told me. That’s the best part of working with someone like him. When you are working with him, you just give yourself up, you do whatever he says. Also, I interacted with monks when I was in Sikkim. I did some amount of research about how they talk, the way they look and all that, but more than all that when you are playing someone, you bring something from your own life and inject that into the character to make it real. It just works out that way" |

It is reported that at first Padamsee was hesitant in working with an actor so senior but later the director Bhandarkar convinced her to play the role by explaining to her how the age difference was important to the script of the picture. Padamsee has earlier worked with Ranbir in Raajneeti and it is at this film’s premiere that Bhandarkar found her. Padamsee said "Initially I was nervous. But I knew I was going to be taken care of. Madhur Bhandarkar is one of the best directors ever. Look at the kind of magic he works with his heroines. When I saw Chandni Bar I was blown. It’s the best Hindi film I’ve seen.". She has also worked down south in two movies and has learnt her dance from there. She was among the lot of short listed candidates for the movie which included the producer, Kumal Mangats daughter too but Padamsee grabbed the part. Yes you heard it right. No no, he’s not abandoned his films and canvases to become a psychic healer, but then with the fall of events, it just appears that he’s the new ‘agony aunt’ in town. Or should we say ‘uncle.’ But then, not even our 16 year old girls would want to call him that. So let us just stick to ‘agony aunt’ as the jargon here. Salman’s generosity and helping nature is known to almost everyone, whether the person knows him or not. But of late, it seems that he’s started to be some kind of a universal shoulder for people to cry on. We see a fat little Zarine Khan tagging along with him at most of the social dos, slowly reducing the weight with each successive occasion. Rumours are that it is Salman who’s ‘guiding’ her into gaining a better health and losing all the extra unwanted pounds. Same with the shotgun’s starry-eyed daughter Sonakshi Sinha, who just seems to be way mesmerized by the dude and his antics. Salman is also helping Sonakshi lose weight and keep fit we hear, by making her wake up early, walk, do a lot of exercises and maintain a salad diet. Also, Salman has been known to be quite instrumental in Asin’s career. First she bagged the film London Dreams with him. Now, ever since she has been banned by the South Indian film fraternity for her Sri Lanka visit during the IIFA (and the heartbreak after Dhoni’s marriage); she’s found her one and only shoulder to cry upon, who can at least try and keep her Bollywood career afloat and no prizes for guessing that it is the muscular hunk. The latest in news is his ex-flame Sangeeta Bijlani, crying about her troubled marriage and taking suggestions from apna Sallu for a better way to deal with things. Talk about a big big heart, and Salman would be an unparalleled winner. Psst: Sallu… apna Vivek is also in really troubled waters… and he’s been asking for forgiveness from thy highness since eternity now. How about thoda rehem on this young lad as well? |

An area of 10 acres has been marked for the development of Kingdom Of Dreams, which will be a recreational facility like Delhi Haat meets a mall. The Kingdom Of Dreams will have picture perfect landscape and will be marketed as a leisure and entertainment destination. Today the Culture Gulley will open, which will be like a busy Indian carnival and will have the look of a bazaar. For foodies it will have cuisines from different parts of the country and there will be folk art of that state too. The director of KoD, Viraf Sarkari said "The idea was to create a place which could be a one-stop shop experience of India A tourist destination, a place for a family to spend the day or even for friends to come by and soak in some culture, we want to make this the final stop in leisure entertainment." The place has been designed by Saawariya and Black famed designer Omung Kumar. It is a Rs 200 cr project and will have a theatre which will play host to the first ever Bollywood musical. KoD will also have artcrafts from different parts of the country and is being looked forward to. |

She was upset about the fate of Dimpy and had this to say about Rahul "He did hit me twice. Once he banged my head against the door. When Rahul is angry, he completely loses his mind." The actress was asked whether she had met Dimpy Mahajan to which she said "I don’t live in the past. It’s been a long time. But after hearing the news of beating I felt very bad for her, nobody should be treated like that. She is a woman I can understand that.". Payal Rohtagi has spoken before about the trouble in Rahuls marriage "When I spoke out about Dimpy and Rahul in a previous interview, Dimpy denied everything and said that all was fine between her and Rahul, but the next day the news of him beating her came out. This itself speaks a lot about how much was fine between them.". She has also confessed that she was in a relationship with him on the show Big Boss and that she actually cried on the show "I cried because I was in relationship with him at hat time and he was doing something on TV where everyone was watching, it made me really upset; I had not been given any glycerin, I actually cried. The movie scored an opening of 75% in Gujarat, higher than the opening in any other part of the country. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI has done respectably well all over the country. Being their own city story, Mumbai has welcomed the movie with arms open. The western states (Mumbai, Gujarat and Nasik) have given more positive response than other small cities. The movie is taking time to attract audience in smaller cities. Milan Luthria’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI ventures into the world of the Underworld striving before 1994. The movie stars Emraan Hashmi and Ajay Devgn in lead characters. Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai have supporting roles to play. The movie has already faced a lot of complications starting from Haji Mastan’s daughter, Shamshad Supariwala, filing complaints against producers Ekta Kapoor and Sunil Shetty gor depicting her father’s life in the movie (which I must say is not completely untrue!). But lets wish the movie cheers as it has already gone through a lot and has good enough reasons to score a hit at the Boxoffice. |

It will be remembered that Rahul’s first marriage had also ended shortly after his first wife alleged that Rahul beat her up. The past has come again to haunt Rahul.Dimpy Mahajan confessed that this was not the first time this has happened. “Fights over petty issues would blow out of proportion and turn physical. He once hit me with a hanger, leaving a huge scar on my back,”.

Dimpy Ganguly filed a case against Rahul because he had caused her physical and emotional abuse. The Press-conference, they realised, was surely was necessary giving the imges of Dimpy leaving Rahul and his house. At that time Dimpy was drowned in the bruises, husband Rahul Mahajan had gifted her with. Similarly, Rakhi Swant’s marriage with Elesh Parujanwala on reality show marriage on her show "Rakhi ka Swayamwar" also did not survive much. Tapan Ganguly, Dimpy’s Uncle tells us : “Sushmita is extremely upset and so is Dimpy's sister, Koel. She couldn't go to college on Thursday. The phone hasn't stopped ringing. This is the way people might talk about the latest Devgan Hashmi starrer, OUATIM. The movie has all the makings of a cult classic. Right from the macho look of the characters to the strong storyline, the fine performances and the it-will-stick-with dialogues. Milan Luthria who has in the past given us intresting films in the past like Kachche Dhaage and Taxi No. 9211 has once gain broken the mould and given us a refreshing take on the Mumbai underworld and how it started. This movie unlike the other popular gangster flicks like Satya, Company, Vastav and even D, has less violence and more melodrama. This is one movie for which you should take out time to watch. | Haji Mastan’s wife : Kangana Ranaut Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:29 PM PDT  Haji Mastan MUMBAI : The Mumbai underworld don, Haji Mastan, whose name has been repeated time and again in the courts recently reasoning the petitions against Milan Luthria’s movie ‘Once Upon a Time In Mumbai’, has come in the limelight again. Haji Mastan’s death has always been a mystery to every citizen of our country. ‘Once Upon a Time In Mumbai’ depicts underworld activities on Mumbai before 1994. The producer Ekta Kapoor and Sunil Shetty have already been sued against using Mastan’s character in the movie by his daughter Samshad Supariwala. Samshad demanded that the movie be edited and objectionable scenes be removed. She believed her father was a respectable man who was involved in the politics of the country and has always been a patriot. Mastan’s adopted son, Suleman, also has filed a case against the movie beacause of similar reasons which resulted in the delay of its release. Though, now, the Cast denies the characters of the movie are anywhere related to Mastan, Ajay Devgn was heard telling in Press Conferences earlier that he is playing Mastan and Kangana too said that she was playing Mastan’s wife. |
| TRS Sweeps Andhra By Elections; Wins 11 Of 12 Seats Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:23 PM PDT  TRS The TRS has swept the by-elections held in the Telangana region in AP. The 12 assembly constituencies that were up for contest were picked up largely by TRS, which got the 11 constituencies. Meanwhile the lone constituency of Nizamabad was retained by BJP. The margin of victories was high enough to render it a no contest. Almost all the seats were won by a margin of atleast 40,000 votes. Some of the winning candidates are E Rajendra from Huzurabad, K Vidyasagar from Koreatla, KT Rama Rao from Sircilla, E Ravinder from Yellareddy and D Vinay from Warrangal. It will be remembered that the elections were necessitated as the sitting MLAs had quit their jobs to support the formation of a separate Telengana state. The 11th TRS candidate which won the seat was actually a TDP candidate at the time of quitting and later joined TRS, only to prove victorious again. Are you satisfied with the election results. E-filing, centralized processing of e-filed returns, communication with assesses through email and text messages are important initiatives, since 25% people are below 25 years of age. The filing if income-tax electronically is known as e-filing.

The launch is being held in Kuala Lumpur and a lot of celebrities are going there to attend the launch. But it is not only the celebs but the media too who is going there. Infact Sun Tv is going there with most of its staff. It has reportedly booked 500 air tickets for the technicians and staff.
Rahul Mahajan has done it again. He has proved that the tag of Wife Beater is justified on a man like him. To come to think about it, it would not be polite to call this monster a man. Dimpy Mahajan, second wife of Rahul Mahajan, has confessed that she was physically abused by Rahul. She showed to media the bruises on her knees, arms and face, bruises which were raw and inflicted upon her by her loving husband.
Talking about the night of the recent fight she said “All of Wednesday we spent time together and even had a few drinks in the evening. I went to sleep, only to be rudely awakened early in the morning by a blow on my face, Rahul had seen something on my cell phone and wanted to know where it came from.”. She further added “I told him even if you kill me, now I won’t say anything. It was enough to send Rahul into a fit of rage and he continued with his assault.”.
The second Reality Indian Wedding on India Television, Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly’s wedding, has failed reasoning to the Rahul’s indecent behavior, which was also the cause of failure of Rahul’s earlier marriage with Shweta Mahajan.
