Endhiran gives other filmmakers a run for their release

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai

Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai featuring mega movie Endhiran- The Robot is all set to release this month in a grand and gala style but this hype and popularity is actually driving the other film makers into a position of caution across Chennai who have decided not to go ahead with any other film release around this period because of the hold of Sun cinemas.

Kalanithi Maran the maker of Endhiran as Sun production group is a very influential man and his resourcefulness can beat all other contenders who stand in the ground because of his group's aggressive publicity drive that can overshadow all other films that come along. The Sun group production house is famous for its edgy publicity tactics that can leave other contenders out of the race even before the flick hits the screen.

Therefore filmmakers have decided that the only means through which they can ward of this trouble is by waiting for the flick to release and after surveying the response rate of Endhiran, have their own movie released. Endhiran is above the mark not just based on the lavish amount spent into its making but also in terms of the super hit star cast which include Aishwarya and Rajinikant.

For Rajinikant this movie is a kind of come back after a long term of 3 years and this surely foretells that his fans will be more than eager to see him back on screen. The movie has been directed by the famous south director Shankar while the music scores come from AR Rehman. The film will hit theatres in three different languages catering to the southern audience because of Rajinikanth. The movie will be released at a very huge span across many cinema houses.

Dhobi Ghat

Dhobi Ghat

The current production under the credibility of Both Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao is Dhobi Ghat presenting the life of Mumbai in an absolutely new light.

With executive producer B. Shrinivas Rao and Kiran Rao playing writer and director as well the movie has a multi lingual dialogic aspect. In the league of actors we have Aamir Khan, Monika Dogra, Kriti Malhotra, and Prateik Babbar essaying significant parts of the film. Based on the Mumbai diaries style, Kiran Rao has come up with an absolutely new take, a modest look at this topic irrespective of the fact that it has her hubby as both actor and producer for the flick.

The tale encompasses the life of four people all dwellers of this tinsel town who stand at a cross road of their life. Now this kind of cinema dealing with auteur sort of a work earns more appreciation at International screenings and fests but keeping the fact in mind that all the Khans rule the Box office big time, this wistful production will surely reach out to a large number of Aamir fans.

The story starts with an artist Arun who befriends an investment banker from America named Shai. The loner Arun and Shai both enjoy a one night stand but Arun makes his criteria's very clear that at this point he is not looking for a relationship. Later Arun changes his apartment and moves to another place where he finds the video tapings of the previous tenant Yasmin.

On the other hand Shai in search of a guide who can present her a view of the insider world of local worker befriends a Dhobi named Munna who also laundries for Arun. The movie culminates into a question for all viewers related to life and its depth. Indeed Kiran Rao has proved her fine efforts into the art of both writing and directing.
