Rabindranath Tagore remembered on his 70th death anniversary

The Bengali literature veteran Rabindranath Tagore is today remembered on his 70th death anniversary. Children from several schools in Kolkata in the state of West Bengal had observed the day by participating in processions despite heavy rains.

The school children in the processions had sung the songs of Tagore. One of the processions of school children were led by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The Chief minister had led the procession from Harish Park to near her Kalighat residence.

Banerjee had also joined the children while they had sung 'Aguner Parashmani'. The VIPs who had taken part in the other processions included, Commerce and Industry minister Partha Chatterjee, Finance Minister Amit Mitra, Education minister, Bratya Basu, Sudip Bandopadhyay, MP and Trinamool Congress legislator Debashree Roy.

Many other programs were also organized in the city to pay tribute to Tagore. One of the programs had included 'Kavi Pronam' which means a tribute to the poet. Another program was also organized at the Nimtala crematorium by the Kolkata Muncipal Corporation.

Delhi University announces MA Sanskrit Part I (II Sem) results 2011

The results of the MA Sanskrit Part I (II Sem) have been announced by the Delhi University. The University has announced that results for the north campus for the year 2011.

The results are available at the official website. The candidates, who are looking for the results can click here. The examinations of the MA Sanskrit Part I (II Sem) was conducted in May 2011.

The results that have been announced at the official website, has the marks that have been obtained by the candidates. The obtained marks are mentioned in front the names of the candidates.

Meanwhile, the results of the 2011 M.Sc. Geology Part I (Sem II) and Part II (IV Sem) have already been announced. The University is located in Delhi, India and is funded by the government of India. It was established in the year 1922 and offers undergraduate as well as post graduate courses. In the year 2010, the university was ranked as 371 in the world by the THES QS world universities ranking.

Sri Lanka is unlikely to make many changes to a team which played so well in the first T20. For the Australians, Aaron Finch’s pugnacity may be useful and James Pattinson could be in line for a T20 debut.
